Was having problems with leaks in the home during rain, and put out a request to several groups about low cost repair. Received a phone call from Tommy Builders about my request, and met Ben who seemed genuinely concerned about the leaks and noticeable internal water damage - offered to repair our roof. They worked with us to see what they could do since I'm a disabled veteran on a fixed income. They staged what they needed for the work, and a pair of workers came over the next day to fix my roof. It wasn't nearly as noisy, and our roof managed to hold up their workers (a fear that nearly stopped us from agreeing to obtain their assistance) as I worried about the potential of someone falling through since the roof seemed damaged due to the water. Instead, they were able to fix the roof in a timely manner, seemed to genuinely care about our situation, and worked with us to get everything done, from financing to repair. As long as we have no leaks - Tommy Builders will retain their stars; if, however, during the rainy season we have further leaks... well, I can always add to this review. read more

This company have high pressre salesmans. They hired a person that doesn't know shit. He put an oil based primer on the kitchen cupboard with a tiny window open. I woke up gasping for air. They minimized saying ",you can't die from this I called my Dr" Wow what an attitude! I have COPD & it has exacerbated my breathing & increased my cough! The worker was in my yard in a pop up tent wearing a resperator! I was told he had been fired but there he is in my yard again. Cominication is horrible. I never knew when a worker would be over until I heard ding dong. The same inept worker took the screws out of my dishwasher??? When I went to run a load of dishes the dishwasher fell out. I put the screws in shaking my head I found it doesn't work! They would not fix it even if their guy did it No water is going to it. Needless to say the floor & cupboards look great. I wouldn't recommend them especially a senior because they sound so wonderful. read more

I I asked for a simple ballpark estimate for a few projects. He could have provided most of that information during his first visit, but instead scheduled another appointment, arrived four hours late, and was unprepared. His first concern was how I planned to finance the work, even though I had already told him I had the money available for the first project. He then estimated approximately $21,000 to install a 1,400-square-foot acoustic, fire-resistant ceiling, while also saying it would provide very little noise reduction. The entire experience left me feeling that the estimates were excessive and that he may have assumed I would not question them simply because I am a single woman. read more

This is the company that homeowners most fear. They start a project and then disappear leaving you high and dry. Ridiculously expensive and zero follow through. Minus five stars. Watch for Abe and Joseph who promise the moon and once they have your payment ignore their obligation. As project managers they don't know a thing about what is actually happening on the job site. When problems are brought to their attention they are quick to apologize and yet do nothing to solve the problem. I had the pleasure of discussing a couple projects I needed done with Daniel and Samuel from Tommy Builders ..my projects included : 1.Taking off existing widow trims and facial trims from my two store home. Replace the trims , re-caulk, paint . 2. Take off all facial trim boards from two door garage and replace, chalk, paint . 3. Go down in crawl space and cut an access door for me to change out my current jet tub faucets.. They sent out a crew that did the work and must saw was very impress with their craftsmanship, their customer service attitude, and attention to detail. The job was completed timely, with a very happy thumps up from me the client. It was a little pricey but for that quality work these days I expected to pay a reasonable agreed price. Had the Seattle branch install new flooring, remodel my kitchen, turn an odd back room into a 2nd bathroom, & add a detached back patio cover. Overall, I'm satisfied with the results. I wouldn't recommend having them paint anything. Many drips & areas where the brush must've slipped onto the wrong area. However, I was looking to have the work done pretty quickly, & they did accomplish that. Looking forward to using my patio & kitchen for years to come. read more

Sketchy This business is sketchy. Start with their website and try calling the phone numbers listed. There are a couple of them. Nobody answers. You just get a generic voicemail that does not even say what business you reached. Next check the reviews on HomeAdvisor, Angi, and Google. Many of them look fake. On some sites several reviews are posted the same day. On Google they are not all on the same day, but they are suspiciously close together. For a company claiming to do full remodels, there is no realistic way they completed that many projects in that short of a time. Their website also says they are BBB accredited. That is not true. Check the business addresses they list. It appears to be address for leased space but it doesnt appear they are tenants. Then check their contractor license on the Washington L&I lookup tool. Their license only became effective in 2025 and their insurance is not effective until 3/24/26. Meanwhile they told us they have been doing work in Washington for 9 years. The math isnt mathing. Now the sales pitch. The guy who came out introduced himself as Joseph. He stayed at our house for four hours. He started with a quote of 48k to remodel our bathroom. (No frickin way...it is 50 sq ft...). Then it dropped to 38k. Then somehow it became 28k once we said we could remove a few things and we agreed to do a marketing video, which was just us saying on camera we are excited to work with Tommy Builders, and Joseph video-taped the "before." We did all the research after he finally left 4 hours later and realized it was a mistake. The next day they showed up again even though we tried contacting them to cancel the night of and the morning after..(which is the exact same experience another person that I found on facebook..) We politely told them we wanted to cancel and asked for our deposit check back. The guy would not leave. He actually said "I don't understand, I brought you chocolates." seriously? We said we dont want your chocolate, give us our check back. First he said the check was at their office (impossible...there is no way he drive from Marysville to Seattle after he finally left our house to drop off our check). THEN Joseph said the check was at his house..... His lies continued. I asked him if I could see his wallet because I wanted to see if maybe the check was in there (and I wanted a peak at his ID for his full name. He had no issue with showing me his wallet, but after fake looking for it, he said he didnt have it. WELL, that sure is interesting isnt it. So while we were standing outside I took a picture of his license plate and told them if the check was not returned that day we would call the police and file a report. We go back inside. Ten minutes later Joseph came back and handed my fiance the check. Of course he had it all along. No surprise there. IF these other reviews are not fake, great, im happy for the other homeowners (even though they probably overpaid) BUT would you really trust a company after reading this review? False advertising, false addresses, the negotiation tactics, the lying, refusal to return my check when they HAD MY CHECK (why would they do that...? To try to cash it and or use our account info?) If this happens to you, call your bank immediately and issue a stop payment. Watch your bank account closely in case they try using your account information. If anything suspicious happens call your bank's fraud department and file a police report, which is very easy and quick. Ive worked in banking and have done it several times. It's all over the phone. My fiance and I consider ourselves pretty smart and we still almost fell for this. NEVER decide on jobs like this without sleeping on it and getting multiple quotes. Hopefully this review saves someone else the headache, especially new homeowners and older homeowners. read more

Highly do not recommend this company, and seniors beware of these individuals. They sold my mom on the idea of low maintenance landscaping because we are disabled and lawn maintenance is physically challenging for us, as well as new driveway and a 8×8 concrete pad. They do not show up when scheduled and do not call when they can't make it, communication is piss poor and almost non-existent except when they want to collect their money. Their crew left concrete slurry and splatters on our siding, fence, gate, windows, doors, and concrete footprints on the deck. When I pointed these things out to them I was told they would deal with it and he used the term "courtesy clean" , not sure how it's a courtesy to clean up the mess your crew left but even at that they did a horrible job at cleaning up. They never did any landscaping they only used a weed wacker to cut down part of the yard that had some 3-4' growth, they cut down a mature bleeding heart plant that they were directed to leave alone and when it was brought to their attention my mom was told they would replace it. They used a jack hammer to break up the concrete driveway which was connected to the concrete back porch leaving a 3-4" jagged edge between the two and left gouges in the cedar siding. They were told to stay away from 2 motorcycles that were on back porch , which is enclosed by a heavy tarp, their guy moved the tarp to jack hammer concrete which ended up completely cover both motorcycles with concrete dust. They stated in their contract they would use rebar in the driveway and they did not. When they were questioned about that we were told they didn't charge for the rebar it was something that they had from another job that they were going to use , which is completely false the cost of rebar was calculated into the bid. There are visible air pockets on the corner of the 8x8 slab and when I asked about that I was told it's no big issue and doesn't compromise the slab. When it rains water pools on both the slab and driveway because they did not properly slop either one. There is also this spider web cracking look that is visual when wet. My mom paid these jokers 25,000 as per the payment schedule on the contract leaving a balance of 1,770 due upon final walk. Funny they show up wanting final payment but when presented with punch list of work still needing to be addressed they say they will send someone over to deal with it, their guys showed up not when scheduled but two days later and did a half-ass job on the clean up and non of the other issues were dealt with and these guys are aggressively trying to collect the final payment. Pretty sad I have to get involved and advocate for my parents because all this is too overwhelming for them to deal with and my parents don't have any knowledge about construction so they were buying the sorry lame excuses Tommy Builder's gave them. And I must mention that these jokers did not obtain the required permits so now my parents are on the hook for that and are going to have to pay penalties for not having the permits. I wish I could leave a negative 10 starts so that other consumers could see that they are a company to avoid at all costs. When my mom looked them up on google they only had 5 star ratings and great reviews so she bought into their facade. To anyone that reads this don't just check google check all other platforms, because if my mom had she would have found the real dealings of this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND SENIORS STEER CLEAR they will take your hard earned retirement money hug you and smile while leaving you high and dry with poor quality work and damages that you are stuck dealig with. read more
