A few weeks ago, I purchased a Tommy Bahama Women's Two Palms Linen Raw-Edge Jacket in the "natural" colour at the Tommy Bahama store in Park Royal. I already owned 4 of this style but in different colours. A few days ago, I decided I was going to keep it and washed and air dried it. I wore it for half an hour before I had to take it off because the "natural" linen fabric was extremely scratchy. So I added some baking soda to a second wash, which is supposed to soften natural fabrics. It didn't. It was just as itchy and scratchy as after the first wash. I called the local Tommy Bahama store where I purchased it and was told that because I washed it, they could not give me a refund. I had 4 other colours which I was happy with, but they didn't care. In my opinion, this fabric is defective. No refund was their answer. Naturally, I was upset. I didn't notice that the volume of my voice was rising because of her denial of a refund. The salesgirl rudely chastised me for it, saying, "You'll have to lower your voice." Tommy Bahama's website states "We promise that our quality, service, communication and your overall experience will exceed expectations." That is a lie! read more
