Since their door opened in 2015, Simons has added a breath of fresh air to the Park Royal Mall…read morewhich in itself has good through major renovations ! What I like about Simons is that there are a large portion of their items are unique to Simons, they have their own name brands in different departments including a line of their very own "Maison" homewares and linen goods all are in good quality, style and price! Of course, they also have the name brand items that are at the other end of the spectrum, with this kind of marketing, they are smart to capture a larger segment of clientele. Service is above average in today's "Department" store type retail, as we see more and more stores only offer a bare bone minimum floor staff, and most often the only Service Staffs is at the Cashier. So all in all, I have to say, with Simons being here in Vancouver, it raised the bar for the Department Stores and offers a greater choice for shoppers!

I purchased a puffer jacket that I really loved in November or December 2024. Shortly after buying…read moreit, I began noticing a few feathers on my clothing. At first, it seemed minor and I assumed it was normal wear. However, by November 2025, I had to replace the jacket because the zipper failed completely and would no longer zip up. I repurchased the same style because I genuinely liked the jacket. Unfortunately, on just the third wear, I started seeing an excessive amount of feathers all over my clothing. Since then, the feather loss has only gotten worse. To make matters more frustrating, the zipper on this replacement jacket has also failed. Both jackets were purchased intentionally with room to layer underneath, so fit was not an issue. At this point, the jacket is essentially unwearable due to severe down leakage and repeated zipper failure. It's disappointing, but I can now understand why this particular jacket is frequently on sale -- the quality simply isn't there.

Maybe if I loved the styles more, I can justify it and perhaps if they had a sale. Then again, everyone has different styles since my friend just loved this store. The sales person never once greeted me as well, but they seemed nice and could have been really busy. She worked with a smile on her face, I like that.

12 months later and my love affair with this little shop stands…read more Last week, I was walking the Make It Festival when the infamous Karen jumped into the aisle in front of me. Not only did she remember me (i've bumped into her a few times at the shop, but not more then a handful) but she was still the incredibly energetic, totally genuine ball of sunshine that made me RUN home to pen that first review back in January. And so, as a tip of the hat to my top service ninja of the year, I thought it be best to share some new findings at Two of Hearts: 1. Karen has a jewellery line that she sells at the shop! Go buy it and support local crafters and an all around rad person! ...I don't remember the name, because I took a business card and had her write down the specifics on a few pieces. Such organization obviously means I will lose said card within 24 hours. I do however have a note that says: "Sounds like the muppets song Mahna Mahna." Because i'm an adult. So I will take that to the Twitterverse for further investigation. Stay tuned. 2. Hats!! If you are looking for the most fabulous fall hat, go check out the Andre felt hats from Montreal. I debated over mine last January and it is singlehandedly my second favourite purchase of the year (it's tough to compete with the Fiat...) They are an excellent price (under $100), made in Canada and just classic, beautiful pieces. But if you buy the red one in the window before, I will get mad at you. Bonus points: you can't even find this line online for a better price. Tip of the hat 2ofH. 3. Bags! I have beat the s%&t out of my bag over the year - every day, dual laptop wielding and it has survived. Definitely looking a bit worse for wear, but it's held up far better then I expected, considering the price point is so reasonable. Right now, they have super awesome colours like hot pink mailbags & bright red clutches. It's a rainbow money suck! 4. Still with the awesome people. Karen isn't an anomaly here. Honest to gosh, i've had nothing but the most fabulous service every time i've gone in. Everyone who works here is all sugar & spice. ...I still have yet to find any actual clothing that fits me properly here... but I don't care. Great accessories & fab people will keep this place as a go to. *** Meiku Designs!!! ... not even close.

Update on my most recent visit. Hate to do it but I have to bring it down by a star…read more They carry one of my fave designers for men's wear, Pal Zileri. One of the newer (relatively speaking) designers that they are carrying is Neil Barrett. Quite nice stuff! I notice that the selection of ties is not so good of recent. and that it is gotten somewhat limited. The designs are looking a bit dated, or ties for "old men" Still very pricey and I still would only buy on sale. I was almost tempted to buy a shirt by Etro, but I decided it was a little too extravagant for me :(

Apparently, they're the only Canadian retailer to carry Issey Miyake's mens line, according to Kristen, who's quite friendly and knowledgeable and sure knows his stuff. HE describe them as IM as industrial style, which according to pics, makes some sense. Men's stuff on the left, quite spacious and great selection. Saw a Moncler bomber-style but not a long cut, didn't know because it's the first time this season they made this line: $2,100, sweet... As expected, nice belts averaging $250. You know it's a serious retail job when on his biz card, there's a personal email lol. Try getting that from a mall ;) Amex good.

There's an equal balance of trendy items (why, sequined argyle, why?) and more versatile pieces. When I was shopping for a very specific suit two years ago Plum was the only spot to deliver fit and meet the criteria. Plus it was on sale. The changing rooms at this location are clean and spacious: plenty of hooks and bench space. As an added bonus is that the mirrors are well-lit and flattering. I've always appreciated the friendliness of the staff here. They'll happily check for sizes at other locations, etc. and generally try to help.

Fifteen minutes, a few hundred calories, and a quick Yelp search later, I found myself standing inside of their beautiful Gastown store. First, it's hard not to be smitten by the space itself. Wood, brick, and steel seem to be Gastown staples, and this space blends the materials beautifully. At the same time though, cascading wall plants and some strategically placed trees make the space feel cozy. Factor in the ridiculously comfortable sofa near the dressing rooms, and you just might find yourself inquiring about a sublet. As for the main event, the clothing, the styles are mostly classic (with some welcome twists), the fabrics look and feel expensive, and the cuts are on the slimmer side. You can find everything from t-shirts and chinos to formal suits and sneakers (and pretty much everything in between). And the best part - the prices are actually reasonable. I have to give much deserved kudos to the wonderful staff, who made my shopping experience enjoyable from start to finish. Their patience and assistance while I seemingly tried on everything in the store was greatly appreciated. One final tidbit, make sure to enroll in their rewards program, which gives you back 4% of your in-store purchase for next-time. The credit never expires, and is stored electronically in their computer system for your convenience.

If you are in their store, it is most likely that you've chexked out their website already. My review is based on the customer service I received at the Gastown location. Me being an old dude, I'm use to shopping at GAP where the staff are smiling and super friendly despite on the stupidity of my questions. In this store, I got a blank look when I asked for helped, as if like a regular dude like me don't have clothing questions. The staff was unsure on what products were in promotion which is fine, if I was in their place I wouldnt remember either. It wasn't all that bad, but I just got a negative vibe from the staff almost as if they were lifeless and annoyed. Essentially, Frank and Oak staff in this store really need to smile and greet customers as if they like being there. No attitudes despite on shitty the day is going. The atmosphere in the place felt very snotty which does not make a good shopping experience. Regardless, I will continue to shop here and continue to ask questions so beware staff I will test your patience. I like their products and their prices are fair. Good day to you all!

Yes, their prices are higher than if you're shopping at Winners lol. And sometimes, I don't think it reflects the (lower) quality of some of the materials in some of their clothes. But if you shop there with intention and peruse the sales racks early, you can definitely find good value, because I think most of their stock is good quality.

It never seems to be that busy in the store so the staff are able to help you quickly and let you know which piece looks the best on you. They offered me complimentary tailoring to hem the jeans which was great, although the turnaround time was almost 2 weeks. If you were in a rush to wear them then this would be an issue. Overall, I would recommend this spot for quality items at a fair price.

Silk tanks by Graham and Spencer are a bit pricey ($300 and over), but the Cheap Denim jeans are not too heavy on the wallet.
