I purchased a puffer jacket that I really loved in November or December 2024. Shortly after buying it, I began noticing a few feathers on my clothing. At first, it seemed minor and I assumed it was normal wear. However, by November 2025, I had to replace the jacket because the zipper failed completely and would no longer zip up. I repurchased the same style because I genuinely liked the jacket. Unfortunately, on just the third wear, I started seeing an excessive amount of feathers all over my clothing. Since then, the feather loss has only gotten worse. To make matters more frustrating, the zipper on this replacement jacket has also failed. Both jackets were purchased intentionally with room to layer underneath, so fit was not an issue. At this point, the jacket is essentially unwearable due to severe down leakage and repeated zipper failure. It's disappointing, but I can now understand why this particular jacket is frequently on sale -- the quality simply isn't there. read more

I like Simons. They have some interesting brands for apparel along with homeware/textiles/furnishing. Two stories with (a cafe?- not sure). Their online shop is where I usually do my shopping and they pack the items beautifully. Was in stores today for my first online in-store pickup, super prompt and easy peasy. read more

Since their door opened in 2015, Simons has added a breath of fresh air to the Park Royal Mall which in itself has good through major renovations ! What I like about Simons is that there are a large portion of their items are unique to Simons, they have their own name brands in different departments including a line of their very own "Maison" homewares and linen goods all are in good quality, style and price! Of course, they also have the name brand items that are at the other end of the spectrum, with this kind of marketing, they are smart to capture a larger segment of clientele. Service is above average in today's "Department" store type retail, as we see more and more stores only offer a bare bone minimum floor staff, and most often the only Service Staffs is at the Cashier. So all in all, I have to say, with Simons being here in Vancouver, it raised the bar for the Department Stores and offers a greater choice for shoppers! read more

Simons was one of my usually must visit stores when I was in Edmonton or Calgary. Its great to see that they have Simons here at Park Royal. The selections that they have are very different from the Edmonton store. Its definitely smaller. They don't have a lot of cloths for work setting. The Simons inside Edmonton mall had multi-floors. I was hoping it was the same here. Unfortunately no. Well interestingly is that there is a cafe store inside Simons which is similar to the Simons inside Core Mall in Calgary. The Simons I know would be considered carrying styles and quality above the Bay and below Holt Renfrew. The Simons in BC/Park Royal is totally different. Simons here is a two floor store located near the entrance/exit of the mall. Parking is a hit and miss. read more

Unfortunately their quality is way down over the past few years and everything I've bought there recently falls apart quickly. You have to be careful with what you choose. It's still a nice shopping experience with the coat/bag check at customer service, great cafe on the second floor and unique items - just be careful to check workmanship of the item you're purchasing. This Simons store at West Vancouver's Park Royal shopping centre is the very first Simons store in the Lower Mainland. Originally from Montreal, the Canadian-owned retailer is well-known for their commitment to arts and culture. This is demonstrated by their support of many local artists, and art-related events. Today I was there for the first time, for an art event - Douglas Coupland's "3DCanada" project. Although the wait was pretty long, I was lucky enough to be one of the 100 people in Vancouver to be scanned & 3D-printed for Coupland's upcoming art sculpture! After the event, I checked out the department store & fell in love with their "Maison" home department! Possibly because I'm a huge pillow fan, I found myself wanting to buy almost every pillow or cute cushion in sight! I wound up getting a furry cushion and some cute new sheep bed linen. In addition to home items, the store also carries a wide variety of fashion brands & many in-house labels. The interior of this Simons store is absolutely gorgeous and features an art piece by Douglas Coupland - "Bow Tie". This structure hangs over the escalators & gives the store an artsy feel. I love that there are so many different fancy (& comfy) chairs and couches located all over the store too. Definitely will be going back for more shopping soon! I was there today, and again it was a big disappointment. They carry a lot of clothes like Twik for teens, and Icone for women. The Icone line is so out-dated, and looks like it is for really mature ladies. Their selections are not great. I have been to their Edmonton store and they have so much more then the Park Royal store, plus the Edmonton store had more up-dated clothing that is more appealing to my taste. Simons used to have the EVE cafe/bistro upstairs which was great, but it has since closed., which is too bad. I know if it was still open, I would go there to just have lunch and forget about shopping there. Also, their shoe department is gone, but it's okay, it was not exciting like their clothes. Thank God, there is Aritzia, Zara, and Free People there, at least these stores have better styles then Simons. Simons needs a new buyer for their store. read more

I came here for the first time this week after hearing about it from my mom. I was 0l6esantly surprised! The store is a bit of a mid range department store. There is a huge selection of clothes, particularly for millenials and gen z'ers. The Simons house brands actually make some super cool and super cute apparel and accessories. Jewellery is pretty cheap to buy, I snagged some 24k gold plated earrings for $4.99 and saw freshwater pearl earrings for under $25. The home section is a bit small and disorganized, but again things are really well priced and there seems to be a lot of locally designed items. There are also a lot of items commissioned specifically by Simons. Again, super cute. They dont seem to be stingy with the sales. Top marks to the staff as customer service was even better than the high end department stores, like Holt's or Nordys. There was no obnoxious PA announcement at closing time kicking customers out. Instead, the staff actually went around to gently inform people in person, but they also let you finish shopping. They even asked me what entrance I wanted to exit at to ensure they left those doors open. The employee at the till was super friendly and made sure to bag my accessories separate from other items so that they didnt gro lost, scratched or snag any of the fabric purchases. Pro-tip. There is oodles of parking and you can avoid the traffic jam of park royal and going into the mall by parking on the roof. There is an entrance directly to the store from there. read more

I give up. I used to love Simons for housewares and other departments. I was shopping there with my daughter pre pandemic and decided I would check out their plus size women's dept. Except there isn't one. I asked a cashier who looked at me liked she'd never heard of plus sizes. I wrote to the CEO, I emailed their general inbox, nothing. Finally I just called their head office in Quebec and asked for the buying department. I was informed that Simons was not interested in plus size, nor would they get it anytime soon. I can't support that store anymore. read more

Simon's summer sale is a sight to behold. Their selection of brands is truly a bit overwhelming at first, and the presence of A.P.C., albeit quite small, is a pleasant surprise. Certain men's casual kicks you can just grab your own size to try on which is a big plus in my books. But the clippy cloth hangers they use in the store are crappy as pants/jeans keep falling off. Overall it's a great place to hang and just browse at their vast selection of guy goodies. read more

Good store! The staff is mostly excellent, but I was annoyed by one female employee who adds words like "my love" to the end of every sentence she speaks to me. This latest time it was "my love." I find her false terms of endearment disrespectful, derisive, haughty, and condescending. She topped it off with a direct verbal insult. She is extremely rude and should not be working with customers. I just wrote a letter of complaint to the store because management should be aware of the negative effect her rudeness has on customers. A good selection of clothing, but the overall fabrics and style of the women's clothing seems cheap, dowdy, and old-fashioned compared to that of the men's clothing. Products: nice selection for clothes. It would be better if they have more selection for shoes and purses. Regular items are expensive, but their sale is really a sale - very affordable prices compared with Nordstrom, Holt Renfrew, and Hudson's Bay. Service: better than other department stores in general. You can tell that the sale associates are trained on service. Of course, service really depends on the individual who you meet - the service of one sale associate from one department can be better than another sale associate from a different department. read more

The magic kingdom has come to Vancouver. Simons in Montreal was one of my favourite places when I spent some months there for work. Now, I finally made it to Simons Vancouver shortly after their grand opening. This is one of the best shops for men who want to be up on their fashion game. Brands like Level31 (Simons own), Future, PLAY, and plenty more designer and un-heard of or unrecognized brands that you wont find anywhere else in Vancouver, or if so.. Very scarcely, now its all in one place! The layout is fantastic. Staff is happy, and helpful! (Although quite slow, I'm assuming this is because they haven't been working at the store very long yet) All around great vibes, with some superb discounts on their own Le31 brand. Definitely check out Simons, just dont take too much $$$ or you may just blow it all... It becomes very easy to spend all your money here. -big fan of Simons Montreal, and now Vancouver which has in my opinion, lived up to the caliber and awesome-ness of the Simons out east. read more

I first went to a Simons store in 2011 when I was at a conference in Montreal. I couldn't believe the amazing selection of clothes, ranging from inexpensive shirts to high end jackets. It reminded me of a H&M but with nicer clothes and sizing that actually makes sense (I have clothes from H&M ranging from size 2 to 8). You can imagine my excitement when a Simons opened up at Park Royal! The store is very well lit, spacious, and nicely organized. It is really easy to find your way around the store. There are also a lot of change rooms available, making it easy to try on anything you find. I mostly shop at Simons for clothing basics for work, including tank tops, dresses, and sweaters. They offer plenty of shirts with cute prints, and basics in a large variety of colors. Most of the shirts will set you back $10-20 and the dresses range from $20-50, depending on which brand you look at. You have to be a bit careful since some items can be quite expensive, but if you pay attention to the tags you can get a bunch of great deals. As for the wear and tear, the sweaters I bought back in 2011 still look great after multiple washes. All of the tank tops and dresses I've purchased over the years haven't fallen apart or needed any mending. The tag imprinted on the inside of the shirts has faded, but the clothes themselves look fine. Meanwhile, I've had to toss out or stitch some tank tops and sweaters I've purchased from H&M and Forever 21. I should note that I never put my clothes in the dryer, but I do wash them after every wear. Overall, I think Simons is a fantastic addition to Park Royal mall. If you are a fan of Forever 21 and H&M, you will love shopping here. read more

As seen below there are a couple "customers" writing their grand reviews and citing the history of Simon's all in an unprecedented unbiased style. Very funny! Important point - the doors to the Simon's location are in the backside of the building at the Village. However, the PARK ROYAL village entry is actually an entry to the entire mall that has been renovated (what used to be Superstore, the bank, food court etc.) is now full of beautiful high end stores. I went to their opening at their brand new location. It reminded me of a cross between IKEA, Salvation Army, and Macy's with some unique brands, artists (jewelry). Had a couple friends apply for sales and other positions. They went in for the interview and did not hear back from them. I checked out the store and curiously asked staff on opening day about hiring practices - was told that they imported most employees from Montreal and the remainder were locales hired weeks ago to prepare for store opening. Pricier store in comparison to other big box stores but has a variety of products. read more

First time at the new Simons in West Vancouver. A very busy store on the weekend, seemed short staff because every where I looked there was a mess or disarrangement of handbags. I think after the hype of the opening it will just become another department store. The clothing, besides the name brands, like Carven, were very unimpressive. Low quality make and still priced $30. Its just Winners on steroids. Nothing unique in the store, they even copied Nordstrom with the cafe. One positive is they have some cute socks. Won't return. read more

Just okay for on-line shopping. A bit out of the way to shop at the 1 location here in BC. The sizing chart on-line is way-off! It uses an system taking your numeric measurements, to determine a size to order. While it's useful, it is not accurate. It's perhaps measuring off a Mannequin for a Mannequin / skin tight. For a human there's breathing, and body movement to consider when wearing clothes. You will need to size up when ordering here! read more

All the staff were very helpful and when a glitch happened with a mail order and I called, Michael instantly took charge, made it right, and responded in the manner of a true service professional. Staff of this calibre are very, very rare in retail so I would not hesitate to shop here knowing Simons has quality products, a good reputation, and staff who can offer the highest level of customer service. read more

I've been here 3 times. The first time I came here I was looking for a waterproof jacket. I asked a sales person whether or not a jacket I was looking at was waterproof. Her response was: "I'm not sure but it's our own brand so it probably has some waterproofing on it, but I wouldn't recommend taking it skiing or snowboarding." I purchased the jacket anyway assuming the sales person just had no idea what she was talking about. The jacket was listed on the receipt as "Ski Jacket". I wore the jacket 1 time and realized a grommet in the pocket was broken so I took it back to get fixed. It was terrible design from the get-go as grommets shouldn't be used for this material of fabric. Anyway, I went back to return it/fix it. They took the jacket in and told me they could get it back to me in a week (Sunday at 1pm) I got a call at 12:40 on Sunday letting me know the jacket was ready to be picked up. I drove down to Simons around 2pm to pick it up. They spent 30 minutes trying to find my jacket, when they finally found it they handed it to me not realizing it was never even worked on. They took it back and said they would fix it later instead. So I bought the jacket on the 2nd. Brought it back on the 3rd. Went to pick it up on the 10th where it was lost and then not fixed. It would have been 50x easier if they just replaced the jacket seeing that I only had it for 1 day and it was broken from the start.. hopefully I'll get the jacket one day.. preferably before winter ends. ***Update: I understand that, besides the sales person lacking knowledge, that everything else was an unfortunate coincidence. A day after I went to pick up my jacket but wasn't able to pick it up, they had it shipped to me (11th) with a gift card to acknowledge their mistake. read more

The price range at this store is HUGE. In one section you've your $9.99 racks and then at the back, you've your $700 coats. Like others have said, you could blow all of your credit off pretty easily between tons of cheaper stuff or one pricey article of clothing. Store gives off a very modern vibe without seeming pretentious, not too shabby! read more

I went straight to the Canada Goose section to try on jackets as I just don't know which style I want yet. I thought this was reasonable! First, the jackets are attached to the wall with a spiral cord for security purposes. Totally fine, I figured since the cords seemed long, I could try on the coat next to the rack and ask my mum for her opinion. Wrong! I lifted the coat, put an arm through a sleeve and the alarm blares -- whoops. Two sales associates rush over, one of them actually firmly yanks the coat off my body and scolds me. I was a bit shocked at being manhandled and so my mum steps in to tell the lady that that was rude what she just did. SA turns to her and states, no joke, "I am sooo sorry, I am a terrible person," dripping in sarcasm. Ridiculous. They turn off the alarm and then immediately run off, not bothering to 1) actually apologize 2) help me with these coats because clearly the alarm system will need to be removed to try them on. I mean, this is a bigger ticket item that I AM planning to buy.... but I guess I'll get my jacket at Nordstrom or Holts. read more
