Fifteen minutes, a few hundred calories, and a quick Yelp search later, I found myself standing inside of their beautiful Gastown store. First, it's hard not to be smitten by the space itself. Wood, brick, and steel seem to be Gastown staples, and this space blends the materials beautifully. At the same time though, cascading wall plants and some strategically placed trees make the space feel cozy. Factor in the ridiculously comfortable sofa near the dressing rooms, and you just might find yourself inquiring about a sublet. As for the main event, the clothing, the styles are mostly classic (with some welcome twists), the fabrics look and feel expensive, and the cuts are on the slimmer side. You can find everything from t-shirts and chinos to formal suits and sneakers (and pretty much everything in between). And the best part - the prices are actually reasonable. I have to give much deserved kudos to the wonderful staff, who made my shopping experience enjoyable from start to finish. Their patience and assistance while I seemingly tried on everything in the store was greatly appreciated. One final tidbit, make sure to enroll in their rewards program, which gives you back 4% of your in-store purchase for next-time. The credit never expires, and is stored electronically in their computer system for your convenience.

If you are in their store, it is most likely that you've chexked out their website already. My review is based on the customer service I received at the Gastown location. Me being an old dude, I'm use to shopping at GAP where the staff are smiling and super friendly despite on the stupidity of my questions. In this store, I got a blank look when I asked for helped, as if like a regular dude like me don't have clothing questions. The staff was unsure on what products were in promotion which is fine, if I was in their place I wouldnt remember either. It wasn't all that bad, but I just got a negative vibe from the staff almost as if they were lifeless and annoyed. Essentially, Frank and Oak staff in this store really need to smile and greet customers as if they like being there. No attitudes despite on shitty the day is going. The atmosphere in the place felt very snotty which does not make a good shopping experience. Regardless, I will continue to shop here and continue to ask questions so beware staff I will test your patience. I like their products and their prices are fair. Good day to you all!

At first, it seemed minor and I assumed it was normal wear. However, by November 2025, I had to replace the jacket because the zipper failed completely and would no longer zip up. I repurchased the same style because I genuinely liked the jacket. Unfortunately, on just the third wear, I started seeing an excessive amount of feathers all over my clothing. Since then, the feather loss has only gotten worse. To make matters more frustrating, the zipper on this replacement jacket has also failed. Both jackets were purchased intentionally with room to layer underneath, so fit was not an issue. At this point, the jacket is essentially unwearable due to severe down leakage and repeated zipper failure. It's disappointing, but I can now understand why this particular jacket is frequently on sale -- the quality simply isn't there.

I absolutely love the supreme quality of the jackets & vests. On top of it all, Canada Goose is still - Made in Canada! No size fits the same - in some product I wear a size large & others a medium. It all depends on how your mama & papa made your body. Best to always try on a variety of styles first before you buy. For example one of the lines - Hybridge - jackets & vests are slim fit, so you'll definitely want to try on a few items first, even if you think they're going to make you look fabulous - they still gotta fit first. If it doesn't fit, you must ... not buy it! Ah what did you think I was going to say!? Also of note is the PBI line - Polar Bears International - on select jackets. Look for the PBI patch on one arm. CG is a more fashionable line, that will keep you warm in town & by the base at the mountains. However, if you are planning on going to the North Pole, then you'd probably be better off looking at Patagonia etcetera. CG ain't cheap but each item is a keeper & over the last few years the resale value has been consistent - prices remain high even when purchasing second hand items. Be extremely careful when buying Canada Goose product online through non retail sellers - there is a lot of fake items up for sale online. Verify, verify, verify!!! Gone are the days of buying jackets with polyester fill, unless you want to freeze to death. Down fill is an absolute must in any quality jacket you buy. So look at the label for duck or goose down filling, before making a purchase. Canada Goose is located at Pacific Centre Mall, downtown. It's on the upper level across from Harry Rosen (finest menswear). BTW, HR has some exclusive pricey CG items so be sure to pop in. You can also shop for legit vintage & semi new Canada Goose product on the Canada Goose Generations website.
