Friendly knowledgeable staff! Love that they carry a wide variety of frozen raw food and raw goats milk. With their club discount, this is the cheapest place I can get premium brand food. I saved more on one bag of food than the $7.50 annual membership fee. I've also had to return a few bags due to picky eaters and one with a sensitive stomach. No problems. They are more concerned about your pet being on the right food that agrees with them. Kudos! read more

Great place to buy the good stuff for your pets. Helpful with questions and advice. My dog loves to go with me when we shop there...he knows they'll likely give him a treat to try out. Be sure to have your pet on a leash (amazing how many don't think to do that). Manager is very knowledgeable about which feed is best for my dog, as well as the best way to transition him from the brand he is currently on to what he should be on. I feel comfortable going there, talking with the manager and staff about our needs, and listening to what they have to say. I don't get the feeling they are out to make the sale bigger, nor do I get the feeling they don't really know what they're talking about. What I DO sense is that they enjoy what they do and that they are really good at it! read more

My husband and I recently adopted two kittens, but were not expecting to take them home as soon as we did. We walked into the Tomlinson's off of Burnet near 2222, with our brand new kittens and needed everything from food to cat litter. They were extremely helpful, providing us information not only on the products that we purchased but about our new kittens as well! I absolutely LOVE this place and honestly haven't gone to any other pet stores since I started coming here. My two dogs Keely and Nicco are two of the most picky dogs I've ever known, I literally went through every raw food they sold there until we tried the Primal Pronto. Their amazing staff stuck it out with me and allowed me to return the portion my dogs didn't eat of the food they didn't like. They not only put me on their frequent buyer club that gives me a free bag of primal after I buy 12 on tip of the 10% I get for being a member that only costs about 7 dollars a year, and they have 6 bags ordered for me every friday, because my dogs go through 1 4 lb bag a day which makes things so much easier. Just this last week I bought my boyfriend a puppy who is only 5 weeks, and today I brought him in, they took turns holding him so I was able to work with the manager who was helping me get all the extra minerals and supplements I needed to add to the puppy food, and told me if they didn't have it, they would get it for me meaning I wouldn't have to worry about going to not only another one of their stores or another pet store. They also spoil my pups every time I bring them with natural healthy treats but they were also giving my new puppy soft treats to keep him occupied. The team always offers to help me carry my order to the car which this time I needed the help and my two big dogs who stayed in the car got their treat fix and love from the girls. They also referred me to the buttercup creek vet who is knowledgeable about their raw food and approved of it which is wonderful since every other vet I had been to here have not heard of the primal Pronto and we're against me feeding my dogs that. I can go on and on about the staff here because they are so wonderful and knowledgeable about animals and their products which makes me confident with their products and able to come to them with any questions or concerns I have. They also have adoptions there, and have a thing that was in December that if you buy a bag of dog food and they will match that amount of dog food and donate to a shelter you choose or that they have listed and in return you get a certain amount off your purchases in January which is amazing. The staff at the cedar park location was rude and snooty. I asked for help to get cases from the high self that requires a ladder and the owner wants you to request help from items off the high shelf, the female employee acted as if she was doing me a favor. she spoke to me like she was the customer and I was the employee. I felt intimidated and degraded, and at these prices, I not appreciate being talked down to. thinking about talking to the owner about this, but I doubt it would do any good. I will order online next time- i don't need rude employees when I can get better treatment online at lower prices read more

Love our Cedar Park Tomlinson's! The staff and their customer service is always great! They immediately go to get my canned dog food case stored on the top shelf as soon as they see me walk in the door and always offer to special order my jumbo sack of parrot food and then call me as soon as it arrives, etc. They carry top quality food, treats and pet supplies and I love that they are always so supportive of local rescue groups and non-profits, as well. I don't shop at any other pet store anymore. read more

Took our 10 week old puppy to Tomlinson's for the first time yesterday, on the recommendation of the trainers in his puppy class. As soon as we got in the door, one of the sales associates took him from us and cuddled him the whole time we shopped. She really loves dogs! She spoiled him with treats, which gave us an idea which ones he would like best. She had fantastic recommendations for treats that he would consider high value, to help make training more effective. And then she took it upon herself to show us options for seatbelt harnesses/car booster seats for him to ride in the back seat alone. She really went above and beyond! Even sent us home with a "doggy bag" of treats for him to try. The prices are a little high, but you're getting unique products that are really great quality. And the customer service is worth it. read more

These guys know a lot about the products. I love them because of that and they carry good food. When I was a pup I use to think Pedigree was good food. WRONG. You get what you pay for, just like with most things. Once I researched dog food I learned that I didn't know anything. These folks will help you if you don't want to do the research. And if you are on a budget or have multiple pets, get coupons online or join their (free) club for discounts. Wellness and Lotus are but a couple of very well rated brands that they have stocked. My only con is that there are some live animals like rabbits and birds. But they seem well cared for and there are no dogs, thank goodness, or I would not shop here. Wilco Humane Soc. and some other rescue orgs. has pet adoption here on certain days. It is very convenient to shop at HEB and then go next door to this Tomlinson's. Brad, the manager, is a wealth of info as is all the staff. You will love them-bring your dog pal! read more

Well made my first visit yesterday and was really impressed by how welcoming the staff was. Nearly every employee stopped to pet my pittie Alice who loved the attention. There products are just a little pricey but the special short leash I found was exactly what I was looking for and very high quality. So you will spend a few bucks extra. This was my first visit to the store and while the staff was friendly, I wanted to check out the food and look around some more. I went through all the ram horns and picked the 3 out that I wanted. I asked if I could put them at the counter while I browsed and she set them up on the counter. I went to check out and they were gone. Another staff employee sold them to another couple. You would think that someone would ask....Are these anyone's? I did not see they kept any of that type of item up on the counter. While the person that was waiting on me asked me what sizes did you need. I told her I picked out the exact sizes that I wanted and I then just walked out. Went in to buy a bag of dog food, because the place I usually go to was out, seeing all the great reviews I decided to drive out to this location. I found the food, and went to pay for it, and immediately was asked for my phone number, I wasn't comfortable with that, so told them, it was okay, I just want to buy the food, that's it. This did not make the sales girls happy.."Don't you want a discount??" "We have a program for people.", I was told. i said "Nope, I just want the dog food, but thank you, this location is far, and this is my first time here"....With a roll of the eyes from one of the girls, and a comment of "You could just say 1234" and " don't you live in AUSITN?" Needless to say, I did not like the attitude from these two sales girls...I just wanted to buy dog food, not be lectured on why I need to join there program that IS NOT FREE and why I should give them my information. I will never go back there, I did not appreciate the rudeness of these two women, all because I did not want to join there "CLUB". read more

I have finally decided my money is better spent somewhere else. I went in for puppy food. Right below the bag was a price of $44. When I got to the counter, the clerk asked if I wanted to renew my membership and save 10%. I said sure. Suddenly my $44 was over $60 - Huh? Well it turns out the price I saw was wrong - the puppy food price is over here to the side = $48. Oh, and of course the large font price you see is the membership price. This tiny font price to the left is the regular $54 price, plus tax, plus membership, minus 10%... For the love of God, I just want to see a single price and buy something. In the end I declined the membership, bought my puppy food, and told them I will find somewhere else to shop in the future. I'm sure some marketing genius thinks their pricing scheme is a great idea - but it's not for me. The good news is it made me shop around - found better rated dog food online and delivered for less money. Oh, and by the way, my membership hadn't actually expired yet - still got my 10% discount :-) read more
