The red snapper was cut thinner than the others, but still thick and tasted vaguely freezer burnt.The gyoza were excellent. We had a party of 8. All the food came out except for one member of our group. It took another half an hour for him to get his food, it came well after everyone else was finished eating, and it was cold when he got it. I was excited to leave a review for Tokyo Sushi because it's rare to find a restaurant firing on all cylinders. The service was amazing, beginning with the super kind and helpful hostess who booked our phone reservation and then her warmly greeting us and having our table ready. And our server was amazing. She was very friendly, efficient and very fast. Then the food came and exceeded our expectations. The sushi was excellent. Better sushi than we have had recently in both Los Angeles and Atlanta. And our daughter's kids chicken nuggets were home made, panko hand breaded pieces of white meat. Amazing. I wish the exterior was nicer because it doesn't do this place justice. I was immediately turned off by the sushi "chef" who kept picking up his phone, texting and swiping the screen then touching the food again. Another "chef" showed up but with the first guy touching all the raw fish pieces with hands probably full of bacteria - I passed on the sushi. Came here on a late night with my two nephews and they took us in around 9:30 and never rushed us. We ordered the seaweed salad which was pretty large and they even had two extra plates with cucumbers for my nephews. We ordered the volcano roll, California roll, and Alaskan roll and they were pretty delicious. Afterward, we had the mango mochi ice cream and the ice cream sundae which was free on the house for my nephew! Our server was extra nice and very professional. The Thai coconut curry has a delicate flavor. The transparent noodles and vegetables were delicious. Came here for dinner on a work trip. It was solid: the cucumber salad was a great way to start a meal. My co-worker got the house soup and it was done right. We ordered four sushi rolls and all of them were solid choices. The Kentucky roll was a fresh and tasty. The Yum Yum roll was larger and definitely deep-fried. I liked the way the spicy crab in the middle retained all of its spice in the middle while the outside had that crunch that we expect from such a roll. The Spider roll was more non-descript, but still good. The Fire roll took us all by surprise by, of course, actually being served on a silver platter in the middle of a fire. We waited for it to die down before daring to put our chopsticks near the roll. It was a nice, clean, quiet place. They had Kendall Jackson wines, which made me happy. The food was on point. Tried the crab&cheese stuffed mushrooms appetizer and the kame sashimi plate (12 pcs, chef's choice) were good. Have tried several of their sushi rolls as well and they were good and not over-sauced. One person received their food, was able to breastfeed and then finish eating before I and one other person received our food. They charged us extra for something on our bill, we asked about it and the server cut us off and tried to argue. They were so rude to us and the facial expressions were unreal. We asked for a manager several times, they brought over the host and she had to go back and forth to "talk to her boss" I asked for the boss to come out over 3 different times. Decided to stop in for lunch on a weekday and give it a try since we had a friend that has been raving about their Orange Chicken........... So we came in right at 11, were promptly sat and greeted. So we ordered and we waited..... and we waited .... and we waited ....... our server brought us a small bow of soup similar to that at any japanese steakhouse - ...... and then we waited somw more .....at the time we ordered we were only 1 of 2 tables .......... and we waited and we waited .... 30 min later our orange chicken dish comes out......... lol not what i expected , and after we received our food the server says , its not your typical orange chicken , lol well how about telling us that BEFORE we order.......... lol just sayin...... The chicken itself was cut into lil square chunks as lightly battered and fried as expected, what was not expected was the clear thick soup / sauce that it was sitting in...... with orange slices , cucumbers , bell peppers , and sesame seeds. It was hot and fresh no doubt, 30 min later , and i ate all the chicken , but something kept giving me a twang that just killed it for me, idk if it was the cucumbers that had a pickle taste, or the raw like bell peppers , or the fact it was all mixed into a plate full of clear thick soup/ sauce , but it truly was not very good and should not be called orange chicken bcz its not really like orange chicken at all like one may expect . Our side of rice came out a good ten minutes later and i overheard the server express to another table that had been waiting 40 minutes for their food that the kitchen had a huge to go order and was backed up......... again ya may want to tell people this ahead of time............. anyway our bill was almost $40 for 2 lunch plates of strange orange chicken / 6 oz soup/ and some rice . I left feeling robbed :/ go with sushi if u eat here my best advice .... Orange Chicken 1 star Service 3 star Price value 2 star ...... :/ side note: by the time we left our server had 6 tables and was trying to keep up but was struggling, all the while an owner or manager was sitting up front behind the host desk pretty much doing nothing. Been here several times and it has always been excellent. We brought the kiddos this last time to introduce them to the world of sushi. The two youngest didnt care for it so we ordered them a cheese ramen bowl. It was way too much for a 6 or 8 yr old to eat and it was 8$ each. Could have saved 10$ by gettng them an appetizer to split or something. We got the big mouthful as one of the 5 rolls. The name should have been a hint but it was too big for one bite.
