New Asia is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The sweet and sour pork, fried shrimp, and ham fried rice are especially good.

From the looks of the outside I had high hopes. The execution was not as good as the hype. Egg rolls seemed like frozen. The potstickers were good. The General's Chicken is suppose to be spicy not bla bla squishy. read more

Stopped here yesterday for a Sunday lunch. Yes, it was busy so I assumed with the number of people eating that it had to be good, right? Service was good, but the food was god awful. I had the chicken over fried noodles. The chicken was tasty but it was swimming in a boring gravy that just ruined the whole plate. If I wanted soup, I would have ordered it. They don't have lunch prices on Sunday, so my entree and one glass of cheap wine was $25.00. Oh, and of course, they charge for using a credit card. I will continue my search for good Asian food here in Paducah, but this place isn't it. read more

I just got home and was excited to my my food , however , the eggs tools were so over cooked the inside stuffing was burned. The won ton soup was excellent. The fried rice was also scorched and had a burned taste. The steak and peppers were just awful. The steak was so tough and the peppers were also over cooked. Absolutely delicious! Wonderful staff! I am gluten free due to an autoimmune disease. I called ahead and asked them if they could prepare any items safely and they said pretty much anything can be, except fried or breaded items, including the wonton wrapped/prepared foods. I had shrimp with Chinese vegetables and shrimp fried rice. The entree had large tasted shrimp and had a yummy amount of bok choy and other veggies. Our accidental find of nice Chinese restaurant for lunch. We were on road and was time for lunch, and craving for Chinese. So we found this place was near by. Extensive amount was on the menu with all different kind of proteins. We ordered house special fried rice and Hunan Beef. I'm absolutely disgusted by the owner lady working the register. She gave her employee our waitress the hardest time about cleaning other tables while she was trying to be a waitress. She made comments to this girl in front of paying customer that had I been the waitress I would have walked out of the restaurant. The exact quote was " I'll just seat people in the back and watch you clean the whole place." The food was not even up to the normal standards and when we told her she blamed the waitress. When I visited, they were operating out of the White Swan restaurant while undergoing renovations. No problem except that I placed an order for pick-up and was not told this on the phone. I had the chicken and broccoli with rice. The liquid it was in was actually very flavorful, and was the saving grace of the meal. The chicken pieces were a bit large and not really cut well (I hate getting those bites where you are kind of pulling at the ligament or whatever it's called), and the vegetables were not at all crunchy which is the mouthfeel you expect. They weren't 100% mushy, but it was not the most appetizing. My guess is that they just overcooked it. I did like that they were obviously trying to not be a fast-food type of place, and I think there is a lot of promise. I will come back and order something else and update my review. We had food delivered to our hotel. It came quickly and was packaged very well. The good part ends there. My Szechuan chicken was the most bland Szechuan dish I have ever eaten. I asked for it to be extra spicy when I ordered it, yet my traveling companion who thinks sriracha is hot didn't think it was spicy at all. There may have been a total of 6 pieces of chicken in the entire quart of food. The white rice was undercooked. Her beef and broccoli might have had 8 pieces of beef in it. If this is the best Chinese food Paducah has to offer, I feel for its citizens. I would not recommend anyone spend $40 on some poorly cooked vegetables, no fortune cookies or even hot sauce to help the bland food. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Paducah, and most definitely the best Asian cuisine in the entire town. Their menu is extensive, so anyone of any age can surely find something they'll enjoy. They have great deals for families, and the food portions are large enough that one entree could satisfy two people. I think one of their best attributes is that they deliver, a rarity for any restaurant in Paducah. They deliver in a timely manner as well. Some of our favorite menu items are the Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, crab Rangoon, and veggie fried rice. A must try for both locals and people visiting town. read more

Everyone I was with agreed. The Mongolian beef, despite being cooked with two types of onion and red peppers, didn't have much flavor and was just spicy. Very weird combination. Mom got the pineapple chicken, and the sauce was very heavy and was cooked with... Maple syrup? It was sweet, but didn't taste like pineapple at all. The only thing that tasted good was the order of gyoza we got, but the dipping sauce it came with wasn't good either. It, too, was sweet. They really like sugar around here, I guess. Maybe we're just spoiled because we come from a foodie-centric city, but this was just so disappointing, even for American Chinese food. Won't be coming back. Edit: after completely finishing and getting the bill, can confirm that the fortune cookie was the best thing here. read more

Staff is very friendly. Restaurant is clean and updated. Food is deicious. Wonton soup is tasty and the wonton are thin, therefore light and not heavy or gooey. The breading on the lemon chicken and other breaded foods such as shrimp is very light and crispy and does not overpower the taste of the meat. Not sure about all the accolades, this place is truly disappointing. First the egg rolls, filled with cabbage and celery and seasoned with what tasted like cinnamon on the inside, then rolled in a puff pastry and fried. Very strange flavors. It was obvious at first bite that the Sweet and Sour Chicken and General Tso's chicken were prepared earlier in the day and just keep warm in a warmer. They were not made to order, and were served lukewarm at best. The General Tso's chicken was served in a weird jelly like sauce, and was sweet with a strong pineapple flavor. The whole dish was also not spicy at all like marked on the menu. Unfortunately the owner didn't seem to care and pointed out the black pepper in the sauce. I'm no expert, but I believe it's red chile flakes that make it spicy, not black pepper. The two low mein dishes we ordered were fantastic though. We placed a large order today for work and I ordered the dinner plate so I could have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. I paid $4 extra and ended up getting an extra three pieces of chicken, and I still got the lunch portion size for my rice. I've ordered the dinner plate from other local Chinese restaurants and the portions were much larger for around the same price. I had never ordered a dinner plate from this one before so I called to ask if they had given me the lunch portion by mistake. I spoke to an Asian woman who rudely proclaimed "Ma'am the lunch plate is 5 pieces and the dinner plate is 8, ok." I was very taken aback by her lack of professionalism and manners. That's fine, and because of the way she presented herself and represented her business I will be ordering from No. 1 across the street thanks to their partnership with We Deliver. Honestly, their food is more authentic and of better quality anyway....and you get what you pay for. I will say that the lady who took our $106.56 order was extremely pleasant and the woman that brought it to us provided service with a smile. So those ladies deserve the full 5 stars....but that rude woman on the phone is lucky to get the two that I gave this review. read more

I went here last night for the first time. The portion was so impressive I had to get a box. Wish I would've taken pictures now,but oh well. It was AMAZING! Our waitress Darian was very attentive,gave us great advice about the food, answered all our questions and was a sweetheart. I got the pressed chicken, I love Chinese food and have always gone to Chongs really wish I knew about this place years ago because they are the best Chinese food I have ever ate. I will be going back for sure. I don't believe that $28 is to much to ask for delivery,So we will be getting some delivered soon.Thanks for the great service and smiles. New Asia is by far one of our favorite places to eat. The lunch menu is really good an affordable. There is usually enough left to take home for dinner. The dinner menu is pricey, ringing in $57 for my family of three. Egg rolls are extra, as well as soup on the dinner portions. Lunch portions allow you either a soup or egg roll. We enjoy the House Lo Mein which has Beef, Sheimp and Chicken with all the veggies as well. It is a large portion, at least for two meals, maybe three. The Brocolli Beef is another favorite. The Bird's Nest is a festive and yummy blend of Sheimp, veggies, chicken in a light sauce. It rests in a hard noodle bird's nest. It's too cute to eat. read more

We had the Moogoo gaipan pork fried rice, sweet and sour shrimp, chicken Lomein. All very good. Fresh veggies and lean cuts of protein in all dishes. I would recommend this place.
