Best Chinese in three counties. Believe me we've tried them all, Julie & her family are the friendliest, fastest, & best around. Everything is always hot, fresh, & fast. The spicy options aren't really spicy if you want it hot like I do say so, I always order it extra hot (8/10) & Julie always obliges. Everything is so good & made to order. When trying to review the quality of the meal I received with the ownership at this restaurant, the one female owner behind the cash register had one recommendation. Do you like to travel? go to China, they have good food in China". Does that mean that she understood why I complained about the meals we received tonight? Did she just confess to the fact that I would not be receiving good food from this restaurant. I have dined at many different Chinese restaurants in the United States, but this goes down as the worst experience ever. We ordered the Beef Chow Mein and the Beef with Vegetables and neither were good. Even though the Beef with vegetables had a nice assortment of vegetables, they were way undercooked, almost raw, and the sauce was not sufficient for this dish and the beef was not tender and had sinew running through some pieces. The Beef Chow Mein should actually be relabeled Onion Chow Mein, because it actually looked like and tasted like 90% onion. I was told that it had Napa cabbage, but it was not discernible. I actually enjoy Mongolian Beef in most restaurants, which has a very high percentage of onion, but I hated this dish. I have one recommendation, take the Chow Mein dishes off the menu. The best Chow Mein I have ever tasted, was a dish called Beef Subgum Chow Mein with Almonds and Mushrooms made famous by a small restaurant chain called the Jong Mea in Mansfield, Ohio that served Cantonese style Chinese food. I believe the dish had green pepper, celery, bamboo shoots, sliced water chestnuts, whole blanched almonds skin off, mushrooms, good quality beef, and a great sauce, plus the best egg rolls on the planet. My family would travel the 25 miles on weekends to eat at this restaurant when I was growing up in Ohio. Jong Mea is probably why I enjoy trying different kinds of foods to this day, because of the wonderful experience dining there. Just recently, while doing some research online for this old restaurant, I found that they had once owned restaurants in Columbus Ohio, Mansfield Ohio, Indianapolis Indiana, and Houston Texas at the same time. The lines at some of these restaurants use to stretch out the door and down the street. I now know that this restaurant will never need to worry about having that many customers. I have one recommendation for any future customers. Ask question prior to ordering, to limit the surprise you may get from the food served from this location. A sample question might goes as follows? Excuse me, but what vegetables are in the Beef Chow Mein? If it, meaning the ingredients doesn't sound good, then it probably is not, and you should steer clear! Buyer beware....... Wow... They told us to be there in an hour, we showed up in an hour, and waited in line 30 to 45 minutes, only to be told when we got to the front of the line that they would then start making the order and it would take a long time. I despise being lied to. We were not the only ones, there was another man there whose order had been in for more than 3 hours and the same thing and numerous other people in the line. This really is the best and most fresh Chinese food you'll find in Paducah. It's not a buffet. Before the pandemic you could dine inside but they are only taking take out orders now. They do wear masks and gloves. They do cook everything to order and it is always piping hot and fresh. I've been ordering takeout here for years when I get a craving. I recommend the orange chicken, sesame chicken, and any fried rice. Their wanton soup and egg rolls are great, too. I would recommend to anyone. read more

The food was cheap but kinda weird. The fried rice was orange. My husbands fried rice had little pieces of meat in it that was red on one end which was very strange. I have to update this....this place was legitimately my favorite and I ate there 2-3 times a month....definitely get the coconut chicken....but...my last meal made me grossed out :( I found a small fragment of metal about a centimeter in my food...the kind that belongs to one of those metal wire-in-a ball shaped scourqq pad thingys...you know the kind you clean a metal pan with while doing dishes. Im pretty sure they use these wire scrub pads to clean the woks. I figure it broke off in the wok while cleaning it....anyways the piece of metal can get lodged in your intestines if you eat it, thats been at least 3 different episodes on the show "Monsters In Me" so....ya grossed out. Just passing through and yelped for some Chinese food. After all, Chinese is one of those foods that quality is vital. When I saw so many awesome reviews we went in to try it out. First impression was how clean everything appeared; kitchen, dining room and the works. My husband ordered some General Tso's chicken and it was amazing (I had to test) along with the fried pork rice that came with it. He had what he claimed to be the best egg roll he'd ever had and finished up with some what he claims were awesome crab rangoons. I had to be more complicated and order honey chicken but with the white meat used for the moo goo ghai pan (not the fried type). They happily reiterated my order and when we came back 15 minutes later it was being bagged up with table utensils and napkins. Seriously great food! Everything is good and freshly made, chop the vegetables and make the dumplings, they can omit soy sauce to make it gluten free and they use cornstarch instead of flour in many dishes. They are willing to modify for dietary needs. Plenty of rom to dine in but many take away. Recommend over Chong's any day. read more
