This is the green pepper steak with pork fried rice and egg roll
Buffy T.

We ate there for the first time and I can say I did get full. The pepper steak was good but the rice and eggs roll were extremely bland, no taste at all. Had to add soy sauce to get flavor. But the food was hot and fresh.

On price and value, five stars. On food, I'd say two stars. The food was dirt cheap but so were the ingredients of the food. I ate all of my pulled pork with garlic sauce and it seemed to be fairly healthy. I was really turned off at the end of the meal when transferring my daughters sesame chicken to a to go container. It was a gelatinous mess. Yuck. I had tasted a piece of her chicken before doing that and the quality seemed pretty poor. But what can you expect with such a low price. I'd surely go back but would stick with the lighter dishes.

C36. Chicken Lo Mein Dinner Combination

I'd heard about Number 1 for years and finally decided to wander in and get a carry out order today. I wish I'd tried this earlier! Had a chicken lo mein lunch plate that came with fried rice and an egg roll and was pleasantly surprised by both the portion size and the taste. All three were quite good and so was the sauce that came with it, all for less than $10 out the door.

Best to Order Chinese Food in Paducah. Comfortable dining area. Biggest portions, fresh and fast. I recommend the Dragon and Phoenix.

Beef Chow Mein

When trying to review the quality of the meal I received with the ownership at this restaurant, the one female owner behind the cash register had one recommendation. Do you like to travel? go to China, they have good food in China". Does that mean that she understood why I complained about the meals we received tonight? Did she just confess to the fact that I would not be receiving good food from this restaurant. I have dined at many different Chinese restaurants in the United States, but this goes down as the worst experience ever. We ordered the Beef Chow Mein and the Beef with Vegetables and neither were good. Even though the Beef with vegetables had a nice assortment of vegetables, they were way undercooked, almost raw, and the sauce was not sufficient for this dish and the beef was not tender and had sinew running through some pieces. The Beef Chow Mein should actually be relabeled Onion Chow Mein, because it actually looked like and tasted like 90% onion. I was told that it had Napa cabbage, but it was not discernible. I actually enjoy Mongolian Beef in most restaurants, which has a very high percentage of onion, but I hated this dish. I have one recommendation, take the Chow Mein dishes off the menu. The best Chow Mein I have ever tasted, was a dish called Beef Subgum Chow Mein with Almonds and Mushrooms made famous by a small restaurant chain called the Jong Mea in Mansfield, Ohio that served Cantonese style Chinese food. I believe the dish had green pepper, celery, bamboo shoots, sliced water chestnuts, whole blanched almonds skin off, mushrooms, good quality beef, and a great sauce, plus the best egg rolls on the planet. My family would travel the 25 miles on weekends to eat at this restaurant when I was growing up in Ohio. Jong Mea is probably why I enjoy trying different kinds of foods to this day, because of the wonderful experience dining there. Just recently, while doing some research online for this old restaurant, I found that they had once owned restaurants in Columbus Ohio, Mansfield Ohio, Indianapolis Indiana, and Houston Texas at the same time. The lines at some of these restaurants use to stretch out the door and down the street. I now know that this restaurant will never need to worry about having that many customers. I have one recommendation for any future customers. Ask question prior to ordering, to limit the surprise you may get from the food served from this location. A sample question might goes as follows? Excuse me, but what vegetables are in the Beef Chow Mein? If it, meaning the ingredients doesn't sound good, then it probably is not, and you should steer clear! Buyer beware....... Wow... I cannot believe this place has an average review of 4 1/2 stars.

This is a photo of my dash. It was the food that we called in an hour ago that they never bothered to make.

Always fantastic food. Typically eat there 2+ times/month. Food is reasonably priced, but charge a "convenience fee" if you pay by card.

They didn't have to make things right but went out of their way to make for a much better experience. Our server was so much better this time as she was attentive, polite, and very friendly. Our food came out quickly, was presented amazingly, and plated with great care. As usual, the food was delicious and was cooked to perfection. My wife and I were definitely impressed this time and will continue to go back. I highly recommend people try them out. Thanks again to each one of the staff at Jasmine's for going out of your way. Original review- I've been going here for several years but I feel like service has declined drastically. Tonight was especially bad as the waiter could not give anyone the correct food or drinks at all and there were only five of us. He disappeared from the entire time we got our appetizer until the entree was finally served leaving everyone at the table with empty drinks for over 20 minutes. We finally got our first and only refill after the entree made its way to the table. The food itself was good and I had no complaints about it. The waiter gave us a check, disappeared for another 20 minutes while the card waited for him on the table, only to bring another check but was surprised he already brought us the first one. No sorry from him and no farewell from the hostess that just stood silently staring at us on our way out.

First time dining here. Visiting Paducah for work. I tried a different sushi place last time, so I…read morethought I'd give Jasmine a try. Jasmine is located in a strip mall along the strip, just down the road from my hotel. It took me 7 minutes to get here. I was greeted quickly and seated immediately. My waitress was super nice and welcoming. The restaurant was filling up quickly after I arrived. I must have brought a crowd. lol I ordered up some hot sake and some seaweed salad to start while I looked over the menu. I finally landed on the eel roll and a spicy, crunchy shrimp roll. I also decided to get a chicken veggie delight stir fry. Everything came out rather quickly. I hadn't even finished my seaweed salad. My first impression of the stir fry is that it is mild in flavor...a little too mild for my taste. The sushi rolls are ok, but the rice is really over cooked and soggy. I think there is way too much water in the rice. And the spicy, "crunchy" shrimp roll, didn't have any crunch at all. They told me since it is tempura shrimp, that's supposed to be the crunch. Unfortunately, there was zero crunch to the bite. I'm a little bit disappointed because I got the impression this was supposed to be a little more authentic, but that's not really the vibe I'm getting. Having said that, the flavors, portions, and presentation were nice. I was just looking for something a little more authentic with flavors that pack a punch. Now the big question, would I come back? Of course, it is a nice little restaurant that offers some okay food. I just had some different expectations coming in. Bring some friends and enjoy an inexpensive night out. I'm sure there may be better options on the menu.
