Great food and service. Sushi tastes so fresh and the selection is superb. Mika was my waitress and she was fantastic.

First time dining here. Visiting Paducah for work. I tried a different sushi place last time, so I thought I'd give Jasmine a try. Jasmine is located in a strip mall along the strip, just down the road from my hotel. It took me 7 minutes to get here. I was greeted quickly and seated immediately. My waitress was super nice and welcoming. The restaurant was filling up quickly after I arrived. I must have brought a crowd. lol I ordered up some hot sake and some seaweed salad to start while I looked over the menu. I finally landed on the eel roll and a spicy, crunchy shrimp roll. I also decided to get a chicken veggie delight stir fry. Everything came out rather quickly. I hadn't even finished my seaweed salad. My first impression of the stir fry is that it is mild in flavor...a little too mild for my taste. The sushi rolls are ok, but the rice is really over cooked and soggy. I think there is way too much water in the rice. And the spicy, "crunchy" shrimp roll, didn't have any crunch at all. They told me since it is tempura shrimp, that's supposed to be the crunch. Unfortunately, there was zero crunch to the bite. I'm a little bit disappointed because I got the impression this was supposed to be a little more authentic, but that's not really the vibe I'm getting. Having said that, the flavors, portions, and presentation were nice. I was just looking for something a little more authentic with flavors that pack a punch. Now the big question, would I come back? Of course, it is a nice little restaurant that offers some okay food. I just had some different expectations coming in. Bring some friends and enjoy an inexpensive night out. I'm sure there may be better options on the menu. read more

Craving sushi, I got the Sunset roll today for lunch. I don't know how anyone can complain about this place. I don't think I've ever gotten a bad meal here and I recommend sitting at the bar. The bartenders are awesome. I also recommend the soups. You can't go wrong there either. read more

Our host was grumpy (a very important, immediate, bad start). Our server bluntly informed us that an Asian restaurant is by definition one that uses MSG (monosodium glutamate) in almost everything on the menu. Two interesting tidbits of information on that. One, we went a mile down the street to a different Thai restaurant that never uses MSG for a great meal, and two, we have an Asian restaurant in the family that does not use MSG. Interesting! So, we simply left the restaurant after thanking them for the water. We will never return! read more

I feel this place is much better than the Yelp score indicates (3.5 stars at time of review). I get annoyed when the Yelp community dings places on things that are minor or beyond a restaurant's control. "I ordered on Grub Hub and it arrived cold!" No $h!7 Sherlock! Who knows when the driver picked it up. Go there in person and eat. Anyhow, I'll get off my soapbox. At first glance, this place looks like a run of the mill Asian-inspired strip mall restaurant. Inside, it's much classier than you would think. Not suit and tie fancy, mind you. But very respectable. Main reason I'm going five stars is based on the fried rice. I had the Tom Yum fried rice with shrimp. It was amazing. Portion size was big, but not massive. Perfect for lunch. Lot of people order sushi here. It looked great, but I did not try it. Also, as far as Thai and spice ... my rice was not that spicy. That's why I'm calling it Asian-inspired. It's a mixture of different Asian cultures. (Granted, this opinion is coming from an American.) The service was solid. Fast and prompt. Plenty of refills. All in all, I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed coming here. I felt the staff was very nice and did a great job. We aren't from around this area, and it wasn't hard at all to find it. It's located in a plaza, and very easy to find with plenty of parking. Food wise: I really enjoyed the food here. I tried their Thai basil and I really liked how it came with the egg. Where I'm come, a lot of places don't even do the egg anymore. The only thing about the dish here is that it wasn't spicy at all. I've usually had it with more spice, but I'm not complaining at all since I honestly am not a fan of spice anyway lol. I also tried their crispy pork combo. Just WOW! It came with pork cooked 2 different ways. I enjoyed them both! My favorite was the crispy one since I love crispy pork. It was cooked to perfection. The crispy was just perfect. I felt that the bok Choy was also cooked perfectly. Bok choy can get over cooked, and soggy, easily. They made it perfect. I really enjoyed it and this dish also came with an egg! The prices here were amazing for the quality of food! I've been to restaurants that were run down that had comparable prices to here so I don't think this place is over charging at all. I tried 2 nice meals, plus had a beer for about $37. Will I be back? If I'm ever in this area again, I would definitely love to come try their other dishes. read more

This is one of our top five go-to places when we're in Paducah. Nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. The food is always very good. They are extremely accommodating for my vegan dishes and their tofu is perfect every time- crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. DO NOT GO HERE, ESPECIALLY NOT ON A DATE! restaurant wasn't super busy at the time and it seemed like they only had a couple other tables in the store. servers were chatty with each other for a while before we got seated. went here on a DATE with my boyfriend. initially was introduced to the server, abby, as she stood there and talked about herself to MY boyfriend for a few minutes, while ignoring me the entire time, before walking away. was reintroduced to our actual server and she was nice and acknowledged me. food was bland. was told our noodles would be spicy and it had no spice to it at all. as an asian and a server myself, i was highly disappointed in my experience. despite the minimal effort overall, our actual server was nice! food was mid. the server abby likes to talk to boyfriends that are actively on a date. wouldn't go here again or recommend it to anyone. 0 stars if i could, but i would give one for our server who respected us and kindly acknowledged me. read more

Crown and coke showed up with no ice Sushi platter with no Wasabi or ginger No option on soy sauce on table after asking for condiments. Then, waitres slammed my dish down. I am always a little skeptical when a place combines cuisines like "Thai and Japanese" however Jasmine was quite good! Kept it basic with a Pad Thai and Red Curry takeout order. I did have a bit of sticker shock as the total was $35 for portions that are considerably smaller than all other Thai takeout we frequent in other regions. Noticed later there was a 10% Service Fee on my takeout order. Maybe no one puts anything in the tip jar for takeout? I always do, but this felt a little sneaky for a takeout order (and they already flip the terminal screen towards you for completion with included tip suggestions, if not paying attention you might give a 35-40% tip for a takeout order. No slam on service industry, everyone should tip well, but this was a bit weird). The meals were well prepared. The curry was especially tasty in combination with the meager side of white rice (you know that smallest Chinese food style takeout container, partially filled). That is my only critique, the service and quality of the meal was very good, I just wish there was a bit more of it to enjoy on this takeout order! read more

Very good Asian restaurant. We ate there for lunch. The sampler appetizer had ample portions of Crab Rangoon, spring rolls, dumplings. All had good flavor. The red curry was good but very spicy. I have never had this level of customer service EVER, anywhere. I placed a Door Dash order after a long day of traveling, and a vital ingredient was accidentally left out. When I called to ask how to remedy this, we determined they couldn't refund a portion of my bill because I had paid via Door Dash, and they offered to make the dish again but I didn't want to drive another minute. They offered to deliver the missing ingredient even though I was across the river in Illinois. I tried to decline this offer as it seemed too much to ask, but I was told they felt bad about this being left off and insisted on delivering it to the hotel door. This on a busy Saturday night! I only pass through twice a year but I will ALWAYS order from them. The sushi roll and Shrimp Avocado Salad with homemade ginger dressing were fantastic. read more

I am from the West coast so maybe my expectations are a little high. However, I am disappointed in the portions of food I got. Spent $50 for what one person could eat in one sitting. Maybe it is because I ordered it from Uber eats. I picked it up, poured the Tom Yum Soup (Chicken) in a bowl for my sick fiancé, who is recovering from surgery, and (with the image provided) learned that cooking is a necessary skill in Paducah. Asked for no spice and got spice. This oversight resulted in my fiancé immediately curling up in a ball in agony. She needed something plain for her digestive system to adjust to the changes due to surgery on it. I am shocked and don't know who to blame but myself. I feel like a dick for leaving a bad review but what else am I supposed to do? The guy at the front desk was nice. Looked like a new hire and was cool for the 5 seconds I talked to him. The rice was undercooked or over cooked? Regardless, I don't think they added enough water to the rice while cooking it. Long story short, if you are to get anything here the California roll was good and the portion was better than anything. Also the dumplings were good. Given that we visited in the final week of May, they appeared to still be on a 'take-out only' status. That was basically what we expected, so we called ahead and ordered from our hotel. They seem to strongly prefer you ordering on their website, but since we were just visiting and I had no prior experience with this restaurant, I preferred ordering with someone live at the facility. It is located in the outer ring of strip malls surrounding what appears to be the main (only?) mall in Paducah. It is within a half-mile of I-24. You drive back off the main road, past the mall itself, to a parallel smaller road that connects multiple plazas back there. The food was ready when promised and they seemed efficient. We all enjoyed our dishes (mostly noodles / curry) for dinner and had the remainder as part of our breakfast the following morning (due to the hotel's restaurant being temporarily shut down). Were I back in Paducah, I'd consider a return (inside dining) visit based on the food quality. read more

The service was good but that was it. My sushi had a very strong smell. I got the combo with sushi, sashimi and California roll. The California roll was minced up crab. The sushi and sashimi were stringy and definitely not fresh. The worst part was my daughter's pad Thai which had a black hair cooked in the chicken. We all lost our appetite and left. It was our first time here. The place was busy. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table. The waitress did a great job taking care of us. My fiancé loved the curry dish that she ordered. It's very hard to impress her about her curry. I ordered sushi. It was awesome! It melted in my mouth. Our drinks were very good. The only issue is that the spring rolls were not what we expected. There were 5 small deep fried rolls that were about the size of a finger. Thai spring rolls are supposed to be wrapped and served with peanut sauce. We will not let that stop us from coming back! Jasmine is an Americanized Asian restaurant in Paducah. When a restaurant boasts more than one cuisines, I am always doubtful that they would be able to make both well. I ordered my go-to, Drunken Noodles, extra spicy. It was tasty and came in a generous portion. Noodles were chewy and flavorful. "Extra spicy" was exactly the level of spices that I wanted, a good enough kick but not overpowering. Our table also shared crab rangoon and edamame, which were okay. No dishes really stood out to me. Interior was extremely spacious. Service was decent. They easily accommodated my large party. I think this is one of the few options for Asian cuisine in the area. If that's what you are craving for, I'd say go for it, but just know that you won't be getting the authentic Thai or Japanese food experience. read more

I order from here all the time, Dine in AND take out. Tonight I picked up for my husband and i. When i walk in, nobody greeted or acknowledged me. Then when i did get acknowledged the black women hostess was extremely rude and gave dirty looks the whole time like she was annoyed people were coming in... I went to the bathroom while waiting on my food and over heard someone else complaining about the same person. as i said, i order from here all the time. i've met many people especially a lot of new people recently the last few months. You'd think with all these new people who have all been respectful even the young boys who work there, they'd get rid of this women. it's not the first time i've had terrible encounters with this women! I decided it's about time to leave a review about her so maybe she will get a talking to and come to work with a better attitude. 2 stars for the poor service by Justin C.. We requested soft tofu (not fried), but our meals came with fried tofu. When we pointed that out to Justin, rather than sending our dishes back, he spouted a slew of excuses ranging from "the tofu has to be fried because it comes frozen" to "I asked them to make it less fried". One dish had small pieces of soft tofu along with the large fried pieces. When I showed him the soft tofu, another slew of excuses came pouring from his mouth. Not once did he attempt to make our meal right. Instead, he said he has worked for Jasmine's for 4 years.....as if that was supposed to make things better. While leaving, we saw one of the chefs. We kindly asked if soft tofu was available. His reply ...."Yes, all you have to do is ask for soft tofu." Thanks, Justin, for the awful service and string of lies. read more

I am so sad to rate this restaurant this way. We come here at least once a week and usually love it! Sadly, today our experience was terrible. The spring rolls were mushy, my salad with dressing on the side came drenched in dressing- not on the side. We did not have anyone fill empty water glasses. My extra hot and spicy (as ordered) chicken teriyaki was tasteless and cold when served. The dish itself had very tiny bits of chicken and almost tasteless.
