Good food. Charming & capable staff. The venue is clean. I arrived alone as I was visiting Murray on a work trip. The waitress walked me to a table by the back mirror-wall. I asked for a booth and assured her I wouldn't stay long. There were several unoccupied but it was 6:00p on a Tuesday and I understood they might fill up later. I ordered an eel roll and the lettuce wraps. The lettuce wraps were delicious although their version of crispy rice noodles is more like crumbled rice noodles. Still tasted great and was hot. The lettuce boats weren't sufficient for the filling they provided (which was ample). The eel roll was fairly good and they provided wasabi & ginger. I ordered an old fashioned and found it to be well prepared. Also, their water was excellent, not soapy or skunky. Not sure when I'll be in Murray again, but this is in my top 5 to visit when I am. read more

Evidently the ownership has changed recently. First I'm allergic to Iceburg Lettuce among other things. I always get the Shrimp Avocado Salad. I was told they would not make the salad with Romaine Lettuce they would only use the Iceburg mix. I then ordered Chicken Lettuce wraps which comes with Romaine lettuce that they only use for the Lettuce Wraps. The wraps were delivered with the usual amount of Chicken with only 4 very small (4"-5") Romaine leaves. I asked for more lettuce and the waitress brought 4 more Romaine leaves. I finished 1/3 of the dish without lettuce. Then they charged me for the extra lettuce. I've noticed this restaurant isn't crowded anymore. I guess I know why now. I've been for my last time. I don't think they will be in business much longer if they don't change. read more

My wife and son stopped by for carry out and ordered pad Thai noodles and teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki chicken was something else instead and the pad Thai was not good. Delicious, fresh ingredients, cheerful, helpful wait staff and hostesses too! I ordered the spring rolls appetizer, and Drunken Noodles with seafood as my protein choice entree. Requested medium heat/spiciness and my food was just right with a little sweat on my forehead but my tongue was not on fire! Food arrived fairly quickly and with a nice presentation. This place is probably one my favorite so far. After moving from Cali to KY, my wife and I have tried a few sushi places. And I can tell you, my wife and I have been back probably 10 times after moving here. The food is good, clean, and tastes good. It is not those place with small cut fish and a chunk of rice. I haven't tried everything because I keep ordering the same thing. But I'll work through the menu eventually. The staff is amazing. They are friendly, professional and have knowledge of what they are serving. If not, they will ask and not guess. They know their stuff. My wife has food allergies, Gluten, Dairy and Whey. At the beginning, the Sushi rice has Gluten. But the manager, Nolan, assured us that starting Oct 3rd. Their Sushi rice will be Gluten free. Well we were there on Oct 3rd. My wife was ecstatic. We had a few waitresses but so far, Delaney knows our allergies so it makes ordering our dishes so much easier. read more

Actually had dinner twice in the same week while I was in town traveling. Sushi was fresh, set at the bar and the service was accommodating, staff friendly, polite and attentive. Jasmine will be my go to restaurant anytime I am traveling through Murray without question. Third time last night Monday 9/25, much much different, short staffed, even food quality and sushi portion much different than previous visit. This is a second review for "Jasmine Thai Restaurant" in Murray, KY. I posted a review, I believe, it was in 2022. I spoke specifically about how good the food was and the great service that I received. I have returned 3 more times since then. Last night my husband and I went to "Jasmine". He had never been there before. Well, I am very pleased to tell you that the food is still excellent and the service is just as good but it is actually better. How many times in the past few years have you eaten somewhere that the waiter knew the menu, could answer your questions and make suggestions? Not many. That the waiter would carefully make sure that you got exactly what you ordered? Well, I recommend Jasmine - it's one of the very best Asian restaurants I've been to in the 11 years I have lived in West TN and that includes Memphis, Nashville, Jackson, Martin and Union City and everything in between. Murray is in Kentucky but only a 30" drive from Paris, TN where we live. I had the cashew stir fry with chicken and my husband had the beef with broccoli stir fry. Flavorful, not greasy, not floating in oil, and tender. Served with extra chili sauce that you add to your tastes. I was so lucky to once again have "Cam" as our waiter. He could be a waiter in any restaurant he chooses - as good as any seasoned server in Chicago. You won't be disappointed to eat at Jasmine. And be sure to ask for Cam - he never disappoints. My wife and I had the worst experience of any restaurant I've been to in the last 10 years. I've been to Jasmine's in Murray approximately 15x and it has been good service. Tonight, my wife and I went and will never go back. We ordered an appetizer (pan fried dumplings) and ended up with steam dumplings with a some kind of seafood in them. We asked that they swap them out with what we ordered, however, the manager said we ordered dumplings and recevied dumplings and we would have to pay for those plus pay for the correct ones. The manager was very, very rude and informed us that since we didn't specify GYOZA dumplins we got what we ordered. I told him we were leaving and did not want our meal but since we did eat a bite of the dumplings we would split the bill with them since they were not what we ordered. The manager said our main food was ready and we must pay for it. I said that was fine , however, it took them an additional 10 min to get us our food! After all of that, the manager said he would remove the cost of the appetizer from the bill. THAT IS ALL WE WERE ASKING FOR TO BEGIN WITH! We were going to pay for the correct appetizer. At no point did I ask for anything free, I just wanted what I ordered. Our waitress was nice and she was kinda stuck in the middle of everything but we did leave her a small tip and told her she was great and just that the restaurant manager was terrible in every possible way. This is the third time I've been here to eat dinner. The service is terrible. I am extremely patient and after being at the restaurant for more than an hour I couldn't get a refill on any of our drinks. 25-30 mins in we finally got our drinks from the bar. We finally received our "appetizer" sushi roll about five mins before we received our food. I couldn't even get our ticket in a timely matter just so we could finally leave. I am more than willing to leave a great tip but when everyone else did the job for them, I was just extremely disappointed in the service overall. Despite being long time and frequent customers, we will NEVER eat at Jasmine's again. It feels almost like a divorce, because we truly loved going there so much. Tonight our food was cooked poorly and the service was terrible, but what really upset our family was the way the manager spoke to us. My husband and I worked in the fine dining industry for many years and never encountered a manager as shockingly rude and confrontational as this manager was to our family. She was defensive, insulting, and made sure we could hear her talking about us to the waitstaff before we left. Also, on a side note, I let her know that the sensors in sinks in the women's bathroom haven't been working for months, and she implied I was too stupid to use a sink with sensors. Because we are there so often I have mentioned it to our servers multiple times and one told us that they sometimes can't wash their hands after using the bathroom, because they can't get either sink to work. That is really gross, and potentially dangerous, especially in the middle of a pandemic. If you still decide to go, don't get the duck curry, because the duck will be dry, rubbery, and extremely "well-done". And don't mention it to the manager who works on Monday night, because she will chew you out. read more

I love this restaurant not only for their Thi food but especially for their sushi. There are not very many places you can get sushi in western Kentucky especially good sushi , and was thrilled we found this restaurant years ago when our so Went to Murray Collage. I highly recommend this to any sushi lovers. And the best news, we just found out they have a restaurant in Paduach which is closer to our house than Murray. This used to be one of the nice places to eat in Murray. Don't bother now. Food is hideously overpriced, frankly it isn't very good, they refuse to take reservations, you can't be seated until everyone in your party arrives (what is this? elementary school?), and there's now a "service fee" if you dare to order takeout. It seems like takeout should be less expensive, not more, since they don't have to deal with laying, serving, waiting, and cleaning a table with all its crockery, silverware, glassware, etc. Adding insult to injury, a simple JB roll is beyond them. They literally cannot place an order for a staple sushi roll. The best they can do is a fish roll with ingredients added and no nori wrap. Other dishes are meh at best. We're done with Jasmine. This restaurant was recommended to us by an employee from a coffeehouse. First off our waitress had zero personality. We had steamed dumplings that were good. My husband ordered the red curry lunch and I the orange chicken lunch. Portions are small, of course it was a lunch portion. No Thai basil in the curry, but it was good. No fish sauce or Thai chili to add to the entrees. The orange chicken tasted more like sweet and sour if you could get over the gas flame taste. The fried rice was okay. To be fair we've enjoyed some fabulous Thai food that we can only compare with and it didn't taste authentic to us. read more

If I'm craving sushi or Thai (sometimes both!) Jasmine has been my go to for years. I particularly love the Murray location because the staff is always so friendly and the environment is cozy yet has a very cool aesthetic. My very favorite sushi (pictured below) is the sunset roll. Tempura shrimp, cream cheese, and asparagus all rolled up with crap and the most delicious sunset sauce all on top and can't forget the toasted sesame seeds that brings the whole roll together! My other favorites are the Philadelphia roll, California roll, and the roll roll combo. Now on to the Thai cuisine. The Pad Thai is a dish that always has me coming back. I've yet to find a Pad Thai that even touches Jasmine's. You can't go wrong with any of the fried rice, but the basil fried rice with shrimp is to die for. It has a depth of flavor and spice like nothing I've quite ever had. If fried rice isn't your thing, I certainly suggest the red curry. Creamy with coconut milk, yet just the right amount of spice from the curry. I always opt for shrimp, but the chicken is yummy with this as well. Anything you pick at Jasmine is bound to be a hit, but if you find yourself with something that isn't what you thought, they will replace your meal and make sure that you're satisfied. Amazing customer service just wraps up the whole Jasmine experience. read more

Just had lunch/a early dinner and it was fantastic! We got lettuce wraps, edamame, and fried calamari for appetizers and everything was so good. I haven't had edamame since I moved from Connecticut and I missed how good they were, because I used to eat them frequently and these were just as good. The calamari were fried just right they weren't overdone or underdone they were just right. The lettuce wraps were so good, the sauce was good the rice noodles added that extra crunch and texture. Moving onto the entrees. I got the Pad Thai because every time I go to a place that is Thai or somewhat Thai I always get pad Thai and it was maybe one of the best ones I've ever had in my life. I'm serious. And coming from me that's saying something I've had a lot of Pad Thai. I have a list in my head of the top 10 pad Thai's I like from Thai place so for this place to rocket to the top that's saying something. But there is a method to my madness, I get pad Thai first because I'm judging the restaurant, Pad Thai is a simple Thai dish and if the restaurant screws it up or if it tastes horrible I won't come back but if it's really good I'll come back. My grandmother got the orange chicken. It was good. It had a nice even coating and a nice crunch and a good orange flavor. My mother got the shrimp curry. Overall her dish was good but there was just one nitpick with her dish I couldn't overlook: one of the shrimp wasn't properly deveined. If you looked you could see the poop sack. This is a cool little Thai and sushi place in Murray, KY, that has good food, good service, and good prices. Don't be fooled by the location being in a little strip shopping area-it is very nice on the inside. I came here while out of town in a work trip and was feeling something different-so I decided to find a sushi place-so glad I tried it. I sat at the bar and the service was great. The bartender was very attentive and knew the menu well and even asked questions to make sure I got exactly what I needed and how I wanted my food cooked. I ordered the Roll Roll combo with a few sides pieces. I loved the fact that I could get 16 pieces of sushi for 12.99! The Roll Roll combo was 4 pieces of 4 different kinds of sushi( can't remember the last one but I know spicy tuna, spicy shrimp, and California roll were three of them). All were tasty but the spicy shrimp roll was the best one I've had. I highly recommend. They also have drinks if you want to have a good beverage. They even had Sapporo on tap, which is the Japanese beer I like when I eat sushi any kind of Thai/Asian cuisine. I will try to come back when in this area. read more
