Where to begin? Food: Egg rolls were brought out and normally I cut them in half to cool down. Not necessary today - luke warm, at best. Didn't send them back (I was HUNGRY) and didn't say anything. Egg drop soup was good and hot! Sweet & Sour Chicken was ok. Chicken Egg Foo Young was ordered with extra water chestnuts. Didn't find a single water chestnut until, after notifying our server that I hadn't come across any water chestnuts yet, she informed us that the cook said he chops them up because he cannot cook them when they are sliced whole. Also, chicken was grisly. Big appetite bomb! Service: our server was accommodating. Ambiance: Kitchen and wait staff gathered out in the restaurant/customer seating area and carried on personal conversations. Very unprofessional. Also, the stench of stale cigarette smoke wafted through the area when employees returned indoors from being outside on a smoke break. Overall, this has been an absolute favorite lunch restaurant for us over the past three years. Seriously considering NOT returning as it was a severe downward spiral. I believe it's nice for fellow employees to get along, however, the young staff members at the front reception counter need to tone down their behavior and present a more professional environment. read more

I always go to this Chong's even though there are a few in Paducah. The food is always hot and ready when I order carry out. Service is fast and they are always friendly. It can get a little crowded at times but it's never too loud. I crave the hot and sour soup and usually get a large order! Best egg rolls in town! read more

We've been here three times and three times we've had bad service. We thought let's try it again and of course we got bad service again. We were ignored for over 10 minutes while they continue to take other people's orders and when we brought it to the attention of the woman at the desk, she said oh I'm sorry I'll be sure and let management know. Never asked. Can I take your order? Is there something I can do for you to help your problem? She was zero help. So now on a rainy night at 7:30 we have to go find something else to eat . I'm so aggravated that I gave him another chance. It's just not worth it and when we ate here previous the food was very lackluster, cold and overpriced. The food seem to have been cooked the day before and tasted it that way. We want to support small business, but I have no idea how they can stay in business with such poor customer service skills. read more

I usually get extra egg rolls and pu pu platter and crab rangoons and lately the food is undercooked and impossible to eat. Crab rangoons are most cream cheese I don't even taste the crab at all I don't recommend Chong's at all read more

01/20/23 Just picked up 2 plates of lunch Chicken Pineapple Beef & broccoli The beef dish was so salty you couldn't eat it not even with the fried rice that had no flavor. I've grown up in this area, and grown up eating at Chong's Restaurant at various locations in Paducah. They set the standard for Chinese food in my opinion! I'm reluctant to eat at Chinese restaurants in other towns because they are never as good as Chong's! The food is fantastic. We eat there often. It's not cheap though. I am a full time traveler. I have been from Main to Montana to Arizona to Florida and every state between. no where I've been has or knows of Pressed Duck. Chong's eggrolls are the best. Their food isn't consistent. It varies from each time we order it. The best thing on their menu is lo mein. I do not like their fried rice. It's often times overcooked. We've ordered take out countless times. It is always hit or miss! When it's a miss.........it's really a BIG miss! read more

We used to like this place but the service is terrible and the buffet are gone. We ordered dinner and got the wrong food on one order. We told the waitress who did not care to fix the problem and the manager would not take it off the order too. The Chongs we ate at is located on Hinkerville Road and many other locations are closed. We feel this place is going to close too eventually. We had to pay for food we did not order and was overcharged on the bill. The manager was very rude and unfair to us so we will never go back there again! read more

This had been a favorite for years and years because of their wonton soup. Well, I got the wonton soup today and they've changed it. It used to be paper thin wonton and one of a kind soup. Now, it's just like any other wonton soup. Thick wonton. Big bummer for the change. The ham fried rice is still the bomb though. read more

KUDOS to Ruby for rebuilding the Chong's in Reidland! After reading some poor reviews online I had to give my review. Waited until the new store had been open a bit and stopped for carry out order. The food was the same delicious, hot, quick as always. So a few weeks later my family and i went for a late lunch. There were six of us and we were seated promptly. The hostess could have had a better attitude or maybe less of an attitude would have been nice. But our server Sheryl was great! She was very attentive and kept our drinks full and our needs served. The food was good and she got all our orders correct and we had some variations from the norm for sure. This Chong's isn't perfect but good enough for a tasty chinese meal at a decent price. We love Chongs and have to venture down there at least once a month from Murray. The egg rolls are super good . The press chicken is wonderful and there's nothing better than the won ton soup especially if you are feeling a little sickly. I have yet to try anything I didn't love. This was seriously the worst restaurant experience I have had in awhile. The food came out incorrectly, then the manager was extrememly rude and told me they couldnt bring out what i wanted unless I paid full price for it, ON TOP of paying for the incorrect meal. The manager was extremely rude and it was a terrible experience. I would NOT recommend anyone go there. And I will never go there again. Also, there was no changing table in the restroom. read more

I grew up in Paducah and used to eat here frequently. Now every time we come "home" we eat at Chong's. I know for awhile they have been getting negatively slammed on social media, which made me a little nervous. But we still would go, and always good food and service. When in town for TG holiday my husband's family talked us into going to the New Asia, saying it was better than Chongs, and a former employee owned it, so the recipes were the same - WRONG! What a waste of money. Tonight coming into town I stopped at the new location for takeout. I ordered Pressed Duck, it should be called Pressed duck chunks - large moist and tasty. Egg rolls, ham fried rice, chicken chop-suey and wonton soup. Everything was great. The only reason I did not give a 5, was due to the reception- they were not organized as they usually are, and need to maybe pay more attention to customers instead of chatting to each other. This place is the reason I wanted to start using yelp. The food is not good at all compared to the other Chongs in the area . I got very ill after eating their sweet and sour chicken ( not saying they are the reason just stating facts.) I called the Health department to check on what they made on their health inspection, and wasn't too shocked to hear they scored a 82. Growing up in the Restaurant life I know that 90 is the acceptable score and if you score a 82 there are some issues. read more

Ordered take-out and my food tasted fine, but my moms sweet and sour pork was super tough. Reidland Chongs has always been a little hit or miss, though. Was excited to see the reconstruction, but found the layout a little odd. My main problem was with the front end service. The hostess told us our food wasn't ready, then plopped down in a chair behind the counter and drank a McDonalds milkshake while having a loud personal conversation with the manager. Never once checked on our food. Finally, after a lengthy smoke break, the manager went to check on our food, which was ready. If you can deal with the crappy service, then your experience will be fine. However, if you want better service for the same food, go to New Asia in Lone Oak. read more

The Reidland Chong's is so much better than the other ones. The Jackson Street buffet tastes like the food has been left over and sometimes it is rather disgusting. The ham in the ham fried rice tastes spoiled. We won't go there anymore. We only go to the Reidland restaurant. read more

Just moved to the area from Chicagoland where there are many delicious Chinese restaurants. Chong's on 62 is one of the best in the area with NO buffet which my family loves. This Chong's is by far the best of all in the Paducah area. The service was awesome and the food was good & hot. I love Chinese food so we will definitely frequent this Chong"s again. read more
