I've eaten here nearly a hundred times and there is nothing that beats the salty/sweetness paired with the perfect crunch that you get from every bite of chicken and wontons. If chicken and wontons aren't your thing, fret not. The egg noodle soup is immaculate and their sugar donuts are to die for. I have been trying to find something on this menu that I don't like to a 100% standard. But that has been impossible. I try to leave warnings about menu items that may be better off left unordered, but everything on this menu is excellent. I must also encourage you to go in and order instead of using the drive-thru. They have pictures that their children have drawn all over the walls and often are sitting amongst the family while they work. A truly great ambiance all around. They are quick with all food ordered, no matter the quantity. I've gotten the same quality of service AND food when I take 5 people that I receive when I go alone.

I don't think I would order from this place again. I got the garlic chicken combination plate. I have had garlic chicken before from other places. It's usually spicy. This was sweet. The garlic sauce almost tasted like barbecue sauce. It was not very good. The hot and sour soup wasn't that great either. The only thing I did like was the eggroll. I had it delivered by doordash. They didn't even put a fork or a spoon in my bag. Fortunately I was able to grab a fork and a spoon from the hospital. Otherwise I would have had to eat it with my fingers or throw it away. I didn't finish the garlic chicken because it was underwhelming. I definitely would not order from here again.

This place isn't just good because of the food--it brings back so many childhood memories. I used to come here all the time with my mom, and going to Saffron was kind of our "fancy lunch." I would always beg her to get the drunken noodles because, as a kid, I thought the name was absolutely hilarious. Saffron is definitely nicer than your typical Asian fast-food restaurant, and one of the things I've always appreciated is that even when I order something as simple as chicken fried rice or chicken pad Thai, it doesn't feel greasy. The food has a nice, clean flavor, and the pad Thai has a great crunch on top that I really enjoy. I don't really have anyone to go here with anymore, but every now and then when I'm in town visiting my parents, I make a point to stop by. Tonight, I called my order in ahead of time, which is really convenient because I can literally do it while I'm driving on the interstate and then swing by to pick it up. It was the perfect meal tonight--not just because it was good, but because it brought back a little piece of my childhood. If you like Thai food, I definitely recommend giving Saffron a try.
