Decided to try this place driving by, and it's really good. Very clean, the staff is friendly, and the wait time was minimal. I got my food faster than I would have at the McDonalds drive thru. I got the strawberry shrimp and it was very tasty. The portions are generous so i have leftovers. The shrimp is served on a bed of fried rice. Very tasty dish. The fruit punch I got is also good. The only reason I mention the drinks is because sometimes at restaurants, the drinks from dispensers have a funny taste, but not here! It tastes good! I will definitely be going back. :) read more

This business - and the family that runs it - deserves all of the praise that has yet to come. The quality of the food is unmatchable and the flavor is unlike any other American/Asian inspired cuisine that exists. I've eaten here nearly a hundred times and there is nothing that beats the salty/sweetness paired with the perfect crunch that you get from every bite of chicken and wontons. If chicken and wontons aren't your thing, fret not. The egg noodle soup is immaculate and their sugar donuts are to die for. I have been trying to find something on this menu that I don't like to a 100% standard. But that has been impossible. I try to leave warnings about menu items that may be better off left unordered, but everything on this menu is excellent. I must also encourage you to go in and order instead of using the drive-thru. They have pictures that their children have drawn all over the walls and often are sitting amongst the family while they work. A truly great ambiance all around. Pros - large portion size, cheap Cons - don't get the shrimp, unless you like the microscopic kind with the vein still in it (blech), ordered shrimp lo-mein and asked for vegetables (you get broccoli and carrots) - it was an up-charge which is fine, but there was probably the equivalent of a stalk of broccoli (if that) sliced small and a few slices of carrot. Hands down my favorite drive through. The menu is fairly limited but being that I prefer rice and noodle dishes there is plenty to keep me coming back. The spring rolls are amazing and not the typical cabbage variety. Everything is so fresh I actually have to let it cool down after bringing it home. The owners are wonderful and strive to please. This one tends to fly under the radar quite often, but don't let that keep you from checking it out. Rice Noodle Cai may very well be one of the best food values in town. It is a little out of the way, compared to the location of other food places in town, but make sure you take that trip off the beaten path to check this out. Their menu isn't so vast that it becomes overwhelming, which makes your food choice and decision that much easier. You can get a combination, which includes your entree, a soda and a soup for $5.50-$6.50 and the portions are HUGE! Along with their noodle options, which range from lo mein, curry, soy and spaghetti, you can also get standard Chinese menu items like fried rice, sweet & sour chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and sesame chicken, if you're not sure that you would like the rice noodles. For the price, though, give it a shot if you've never tried a rice noodle plate before, and I think you'd like it. I love being able to see them make my meal while I wait, and the wait doesn't take long, as they have a very efficient operation. It's on Independence about halfway from Kingshighway to the River. I think this place used to be a car lot. Here are the main points. #1. They open at 11:00 for lunch. #2. They have all the typical American type Chinese dishes that most people here want. #3. They are super nice. The Chef has been living here for 18 years and his Wife for 10 years. They have a beautiful daughter by the way! #4. Prices. Well we had two full entrees, two soups, two egg rolls for a little north of $13.00 bucks!! #5 They close at 9;00, late enough for supper.. The food was NOTHING like any Chinese food we had ever had before. Disgusting seems very strong, but also on the nose. I gave it two stars because the people were so very nice, and the portions large, but my Sesame Chicken was too spicy, General's Chicken Too Weird, and the egg drop soup was like chicken scented water, with NOODLES.
