I only wanted it cut smaller because my chicken was raw in the middle the bi last time I was here.. the back staff tends to treat the cashiers like crap as well. One of the girls asked the guy cooking something and he just yelled at her. No wonder they never have the same cashier when I come in. One time I placed an order and because it wasn't ready a previous visit I gave them 30 minutes and still had to wait 10/15 minutes on my food to be made when I got there so an hour for a salt and pepper chicken with no veggies is straight ridiculous! Marketed it as BROWN rice, Couldn't even eat Broccoli or Carrots as they weren't even cooked enough... Aquafina 20oz water replaced with Members Mark 16.9 oz Sam's water... I'm allergic to onions and they use onions on the grill as I tasted it and had to throw whole meal away!!! Wont be eating here again ... have reported your company to Attorney General Alan Wilson for FALSE ADVERTISING and CFPB... I want my $47.45 total returned to me ASAP... Shrimp bowl is very good just with you could substitute the broccoli for zucchini. White sauce is very good. They do have the best Egg Rolls. Service is friendly and they are very good about getting everything you order in your bag. Nice dining room. read more

Somehow the steak was mushy and tough at the same time, the white dipping sauce tasted fishy, and the vegetables tasted like they were made a while ago and were kept warm. I was craving sushi and stopped as an impulse. It's in a strip mall with 4 other shops, 2 of which were not open on the weekend. There are chairs and tables, but it feels more like a take-out joint. There wasn't any sushi on the in-store menu, so I ordered edamame and a side of teriyaki chicken. The edamame must not be popular because it took about 10 minutes to make. It was 'fine.' The teriyaki chicken was delicious. I would go back just based on that. Not a place I will make a special trip for, but in a crunch, it was good to eat. read more

I am sitting here eating now and when I placed my order I also got a drink. The drink tasted so nasty I immediately went to the counter to let them know. I thought they were going to fix it but they only tasted it and said it didnt taste right. I went to my car and got my water bottle and when they weren't so busy I asked for the drink money back. The guy said I would have to ask the manager. She said NOPE, we can't do that even though they were giving people water cups identical to my cup. I went to the Columbiana location this evening and ordered food at the counter to go. I ordered the salt and pepper chicken along with two spring rolls. When I got back home, I opened my tray to discover dried up chicken, and dried up rice that looks like it had been reheated after several days drizzled with soy sauce. there were less than five slices of onions, and only a few zucchini pieces. The spring rolls were absolutely terrible and we're clearly frozen and reheated to a lukewarm temperature while the insides were still liquidy. I do not recommend ever going to this restaurant. It is a terrible excuse for Japanese food. The service was adequate and ambience was filthy. I should've left. I know better walking to a place like that but I thought I would try it out. My family was traveling through the area, and stayed overnight. Though admittedly I did not see that this business had an average of 2 stars here on yelp, I trusted the fact that this business was located near and around so many successful restaurants. We had been road weary and hibachi sounded great. The only reason I give this business 1 star is due to the customer service and friendliness of the attendant taking our order. With that said, a business that sales food, should first and foremost insure that the product...the food....is good. There were 6 of us that placed an order for takeout. We took it back to our hotel to eat and were sorely disappointed. Please understand...this is NOT an exaggeration--THIS WAS THE WORST HIBACHI I HAVE EVER EATEN. The only plus for the food was that it was hot...that's it. The food quite literally had no taste...it was unanimous with all 6. None of the food had salt, pepper, or any discernible flavor. If it were not for the white sauce, there would have been no flavor at all. Secondly...the "fried rice" is not authentic fried rice. There was no egg fried in...it literally was white rice that had been thrown on a griddle for a moment with just a hint of soy...couldn't even taste the soy. I really do not pride myself on being a "hater"...but folks...if you want to be in business to succeed, these issues need to be addressed. There was absolutely no love in this food at all...nothing to want to come back for. I usually love this place, but today it was absolutely awful and I will not be returning. First, I ordered online and when I came to the restaurant to pick up the food was told very rudely by a red headed manager that they had "never made Tempura Broccoli", even tho I had this specific type of tempura last month. When I insisted it was not a big deal, although I had the tempura previously she consistently said "no we didn't, I am the manager" very rudely. Inside the store was a homeless man who was consistely coming in and out asking people for money/part of their food. LASTLY what was forgotten from my order was the sauce for the tempura, and two sides of zucchini/onion. ALSO I was still charged extra for the broccoli even though it was apparently "unmakeable". Young African American girl said she lost her phone and was irritated. Despite the horrible reviews, I actually really liked this place! I got the Hibachi Vegetables while everyone else in my family got the shrimp, tempura shrimp, teriyaki chicken, and steak bowl. Everyone was pleased with their meal--no complaints for once! And it was a TON of food for very cheap prices. Every entree comes with zucchini, onions, and a mound of brown rice. This definitely isn't the cream of the crop Hibachi restaurant, but good for the price (between $5 and $8 per person) and speedy service. read more

I have been to a couple of Tokyo Grills, but this was the worst. My first time to this location I witnessed a woman literally throwing her box of food into the kitchen hitting an employee because an employee girl there got the woman's order wrong and almost gave the woman something she was allergic too. Despite that crazy situation I place my order so I get get my food and get out as soon as possible. Well the chef (the taller chef that only speaks Spanish, not the darker skin short chef) coughs on the food on the grill. I kid you not, coughed on the food. With corona virus going around it's extra foul in a restaurant. I immediately asked for the manager and found myself speaking with the owner ( Chinese man about 5'7") and I told him that I will not eat the food and want a refund for the chef coughing on all the chicken and rice with its cooking on the grill. He simply smirked and gave me my refund. The chef didn't like that and tried to walk out and quit so the owner had to chase him down in the parking lot and beg him to stay. It was like a drama tv show. Horrible place. Don't go there and don't eat there. Now the other Tokyo grills I enjoy a lot! Please managers work with your staff on customer service because I could easily see a customer getting carried away because they are not being handled professionally. I called Tokyo grill on December 5th 2019 at 8:35pm. I was told to hold which I didn't mind it could have been a busy night. Fast forward 11 minutes later I'm now still on hold and also on my way to the restaurant because it's almost closing time. When I arrive I let Whitney know what has happened. You left me on hold for 11 minutes and decided to hang up. She was rude and had an attitude I feel because i was confronting her about this issue.
