A crab Rangoon, heavy on ginger but good!
    Allison P.

Pros: Appetizers came quickly. Food was all delicious. Shrimp were clean and large in the Pad Thai. Orange chicken was enough to share. Cons: Terrible parking with very narrow spaces. Appetizers came quickly, but entrees were delivered only to 4 of the 6 people, leaving the other 2 waiting for over 15 minutes without food because sushi wasn't made in a timely manner (they weren't even that busy when we sat down). We asked for some accommodation and th3 waitress said that they wouldn't adjust the bill. I asked for the manager and she said she'd get him but she knew he would say no. Manager eventually came out and said, "I'll see what I can do." Don't leave your customers hanging like that. He ultimately DID make an adjustment to the check, so that was good, but the process to get there was unecessary.

This is the best Asian place around here. I love the food and the ambiance. I have always had very good service!!

My wife and I were supposed to meet friend here today but they couldn't make it . We decided to visit anyway. Food quality was excellent and we also received stellar service from David. He was courteous, friendly, and helpful with his suggestions. We both agree that our selections exceeded our expectations, which was a very pleasant experience. We will return to this location another time for sure.

Caterpillar Roll & Shrimp Tempura Roll

My son and I came back for more, apparently a year later. The service was excellent, as always. Our sever Mely was very nice and attentive. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It's a good Asian fusion restaurant of Sushi & Chinese American cuisine. I was a little disappointed in the shrimp dumplings to be honest. As soon as they came out, I noticed they weren't what I was expecting. I guess I expected shumai dumplings and these were more gyoza looking. The flavor was yummy inside but the dumpling wrapper texture was rubbery, making the whole dumpling a little off. The sushi was delicious, but I feel like that Caterpillar roll is truly not worth $19.00. I understand that prices have gone up everywhere and I'm very familiar with inflation, but that sushi roll is about $5 or $4 more than it should be, in my personal opinion. The price could be because of the ingredients used to make it that make it, but I truly don't see how that would make a difference either because they were all standard ingredients for a specialty sushi roll. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was very good and my son devoured every little peice on that plate. We really, really, really liked the spicy tuna tartare! Ambiance was busy and a little noisy this evening, but overall just fine. I noticed some storage overflow behind a table with people seated there, which can be a little off putting. I don't have the heart to give this experience less than 4 stars because I truly enjoy eating here.

This place is phenomenal. I have now gone multiple times and have enjoyed it more and more. My wife and I shared the Appetizer Taster and a bowl of Egg Drop Soup. We enjoyed the variety of the appetizer, and the soup was hot and tasty. For entre's we have gotten the Mango entre and the Coconut Curry as well as the Spicy Maki combo. The Mango entre is sweet and savory. The vegetables add good variety and you can choose your choice of meet. The chicken compliments this dish. The Coconut curry was flavorful. We got this one with beef, and it was delicious. The Spicy Maki was really spicy. My wife could only handle a small amount before she felt it was too spicy, but for spice lovers, this is a great choice. The Homemade Lemonade is delicious! And it included one free refill. So yummy I would go to this restaurant just for the Lemonade. Overall the staff has been very attentive whether it is lunch time or during the busy dinner rush. The restaurant is quaint and always clean. They have a couple of bars you can sit at if you prefer that over a booth. I hope to continue visiting this restaurant.

We had a small lunch at Antai. The place was busy; our food arrived after a short wait. Nice presentation! And the food was spot on in flavor. Good Asian!

But immediately the service that the waitress informed us that they do not serve on Sundays, which must be new to us because we have always been here on Sundays and been able to do cocktails not only that the food was not the best not as fresh at all. Also, the waitress seemed to be very forgetful, even though we were literally one of four tables, it was 3 PM totally not busy at all. She must be too busy with her personal life or on her phone in the back room to attend and do her job properly. I rarely leave reviews like this, but I will never be coming here again. The owner or manager should really be more present and attentive as to how the servers speak to and communicate to PAYING customers. PAYING customers are literally how we fund your business! Don't forget that. RAY was our servers name. She was sweet enough but absolutely should NOT be a waitress or server anywhere. She really needs to look for a job that she's more qualified for. I was a server and bartender for over 10 years. It is really not that hard to get things right especially when you have four tables to attend to and that's it. This is the last straw. I told everyone in the restaurant never come back here sorry that I made a scene, but I highly recommend going to konnichiwa up the street. I promise you if this place does not reply or change it's ways I will recommend every single person coming in this is to rethink and drive half a mile to konnichiwa which is far better fresher and not frozen or rotted tasting food.

If you're a big Ginger fan, just a heads up the salad is iceberg & shredded carrot with a very sweet sauce that did not taste like it had any ginger. The Rainbow roll was delicious, would definitely get that again. A fan of Kimchi, we decided to try the New Gangnam (Fillet Mignon Steak, Cucumber, Spring ivix, top wi Tempura Kimchi, Kabayaki Sauce, Bang-Bang Sauce, Bubu Arare). You will definitely feel full after this one. It felt heavy and turns out fried is not for me. Also tried the Blue Ridge Roll (Tuna, Salmon, Mango, Avocado Wrap with peeled Cucumber). It was ok, but by far it was the Rainbow Roll that won out this night.

They are open to reservations online through OpenTable and did a great job taking care of my large party for a going away and birthday dinner of 12-15 guests. Pricing on average about $10-$30 with street parking at a meter or garage parking in the Vista area. Exceptional service, and manager who checks in on your experience while valuing your feedback, and an intimate atmosphere, sets the stage for a delightful space to dine and unwind that I can never pass up. My favorite menu items are the rock tempura shrimp, jumbo shrimp Thai basil, strawberry honey roll, salmon berry roll and the green tea cheesecake. My least favorite to date was the mango roll. I saw what Sarah posted about the sriracha being super spicy so I asked for it on the side. It is spicy. I don't like spicy things. But I took the advice of the gentleman on the truck that it makes the meal and tried it. I LOVE it. It does add that kick that the meal needs. I love the goat cheese, green onions, and cilantro paired with the beef and it's all served on a bed of crunchy (but not too crunchy) shoestring fries. All for only $10. It's also served in a cute, plastic container that I can wash out and use a few times before I recycle it so that's nice too. I also got a sweet tea which was tasty as well. The fries were crunchy, but we felt like there was more cheese than there was kimchi and sauce, so we've had better kimchi fries elsewhere. The cheese was very gooey though. The boneless wings weren't as crunchy as they could have been, especially coming out in a stone dish, but the garlic soy sauce was still pretty good. Our mains were really good -- the japchae, which I ordered with fried tofu, had the right texture and flavor, and was delicious yet spicy. The tofu was a little bland though. My partner enjoyed the squid and pork belly dish and said that the sauce was similar to the japchae sauce. The portions were pretty normal and not too big, so we had a few leftovers but not too many. The prices were also pretty reasonable as well. Overall we were really happy with our food here and would come back if we ever visited again.
