    Beef teriyaki. With hair.

There was a hair in my beef teriyaki. Large portions of rice . The beef tastes pre-packaged. The tea was really good.

Still tring to find a good teriyaki place. This place did okay, not my favorite, but will have to change up my order if i ever make it this way again. The food was decent and nothing bad about this place. I ordered the chicken and beef plate. Meat pieces were cut up.pretty small, and i would ask for more vegetables and less rice. Lots of rice in this dish. Overall it was good, just needed a little bit more wow.

    Shrimp Tempura and Crab Roll
    Angela B.

Hibachi Express is standard Asian fast food fare. The price isn't bad and the portions are generous. I had the shrimp tempura and it was a bit over cooked and too crunchy for my taste. It was served over fried rice and cooked vegetables. The vegetables consisted of shredded cabbage and sliced carrots. I preferred this over whole pieces of vegetables, but it is a personal choice. An entree came with one soufflé cup of "white sauce" that seemed pretty watered down. Additional cups of sauce are 25 cents each. I also ordered a crab roll which was pretty basic, but not bad. It was crab meat wrapped in seaweed and rice. The roll was served with soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. All in all, I feel like it wasn't bad, but there are better options nearby in the same price range.

    Teriyaki chicken is tasty

Overpriced for dry chicken with no flavor. Egg rolls are tiny for the price, and not very good at all.

The actual location is very vibrant with an open floor plan that allows a lot of light ...now with the food ... I'll start by saying whoever made the sweet t needs a raise .... The menu is a lot but a good type of a lot with many choices. I ended up getting the Mr. ALLI-G Roll and the Red Snapper Bowl. Well welll well ... yelp family this Alli-G Roll we better than expected lol ... fried to perfection. Also the gator wasn't over cooked ... you can tell the preparers take their time and every dish has a different touch of excellence. Now for the Snapper Bowl .... I highly recommend ... the food bowl was delivered and I could still se the steam which I loved ... all the veggies were fresh fresh you could taste it. The snapper was amazing also. This spot leaves the extra seasoning up to you ... BUT your table has a bottle of yum yum sauce and you don't have to keep asking. Most importantly they are not stingy on the portions. I had half of my sushi rolls left and half of my bowl. Kudos to the staff also with the recommendations and setting the expectation of the dishes. They also worked as a team ... one waiter didn't see our drinks on the table and immediately asked if we put our order in. This was def worth the 35 min drive from the other side of town be sure to check them out. And another round of applause for the staff. I'll be back SOON .

One thing that immediately stood out to me is they are called Hokkaido raamen, but dont have Hokkaido raamen (Hokkaido raamen tends to be buttery with seafood.. but there are many variations). The pros: very friendly staff that didnt charge me extra for a sprinkle of cilantro. Clean place and well presented food. The cons: noodles are way too soggy. Good raamen needs to be much firmer. The chashu (por) for the price of the dish should have been the size of my fist, but was more the size of a couple thin slices of Canadian bacon. The temperature was also luke warm. Ramen needs to be hot hot hot (forgivable though because I imagine a lawsuit if it b was served as its supposed to be) Overall: way too over priced for what it is. I would say this is a $7 bowl of raamen. Don't get me wrong... it was tasty... but heavily price gouged. Alas.. this is kind of par for course for raamen stateside. I might go here once or twice a year... its like having a fast food burger that costs 20$.. the burger may be great but the price drains the flavor.

I have mixed feelings…read more I ordered a ramen soup with pork. It tasted 'ok'. Not the worst I've had, not the best. I was happy to try it though. What I didn't really like was their policy of charging money for tap water. You don't expect this in America. I went to their soda machine to get some water, thinking there would be some cheap $0.01 plastic cups, and that's when I saw a sign saying you have to pay for water. NOT what I expected after ordering and paying for a ramen soup. I asked if there was any way to get a free cup of water, thinking maybe they kept the cups behind the counter, and they said no, you have to buy a cup for the tap water. In my mind, if you have to nickle and dime us $0.50 for tap water, you're doing things wrong as a business. Charge what you have to so people don't have to ask about paying money for tap water and you don't have to put up stupid signs saying you have to pay for water. I mean, come on. That looks SO PETTY and CHEAP! This place was so low life, they even had signs saying don't sit down until you order something taped on the walls all around the restaurant. That really made it look cheap. Where am I, China? Pakistan? Didn't feel like Japan... and certainly didn't feel like America. I didn't try to use the restroom. I don't know if they charge a fee for that... or the toilet paper... I think we as a society need to strongly push back against this type of 'fee' trend in restaurants. Yea, it's their business and they can run it the way they want, but I can also give a poor review and not come back. Your choice. I would of tipped the worker $3-4 based on service. Instead I was charged $0.50 and won't come back.
