I can't remember the name of the roll I had but it wasn't bad. I also ordered the Georgia Peach cocktail and it was okay. I went for happy hour so it was quite empty but the service was very slow. I've heard such things about Tsunami so I def want to try them out again.

Decided to try an ole staple in the Vista tonight, Ive tried Tsunami back in 2017 and the service was so horrble we left without ordering. Well today was a new day and they redeemed themselves. Customer was excellent and the bar service was fast. Happy hour is from 4-6p, the drinks where way to sweet for me. I had the Georgia Peach. The food was fresh and portion size was good for two people. We enjoyed all the food and are glad we gave them a second chance some years later. We only ordered a sushi roll and some appetizers, but all was good. Free parking at location.

I ordered the tuna delight roll($13) and steak and scallop hibachi($25). The tuna roll was great, but was absolutely drenched in sweet chili sauce. Definitely overpowering but it still tasted good. The ginger salad sauce was quite watery instead of a thicker sauce. The hibachi was cooked in the back so there was not a show, but the food ended up tasting good. The steak was cooked to a good medium, while the scallops were a bit overcooked. A good amount of fried rice and vegetables that were seasoned well. The yum yum sauce was good. Staff was friendly. Overall it was a good experience here, the sushi and hibachi aren't the best but still good. Food(50%): 7.2 Staff/service(25%): 7.0 Value(25%): 7.0 Overall: 7.1/10

The food here was absolutely amazing! The miso soup had so much flavor, and the heartbreaker roll was delicious. The service I why this isn't a 5 star review as our server was awful. She forgot about our drinks and still charged us for them and then kept trying to get us to leave while we were eating, mind you the restaurant wasn't even full.

i went to tsunami vista during their happy hour and ordered a cheap drink, which tasted like watermelon candy. we were greeted & seated promptly upon arrival and the waiters were very friendly. i ordered the vegetable spring rolls and a cucumber roll. the vegetable spring rolls were standard and came with a cabbage slaw of some kind with a sesame dressing which was pretty good. the cucumber roll was inside out, which is not standard, but i prefer it that way. definitely good (and cheap) but nothing that stands out.

Been here a couple of times & it never disappoints!!! Big, very steady with patrons & in this college town (USC Gamecocks) the happy hour from 4-7 pm is pretty good!!! So many choices & the menu is beyond creative! EVERYTHING IS FRESH!!!!!!! I crave this place & I live in Georgia! My neice is graduating so I won't have the opportunity to come again since she won't live in this town much longer. What a treat to have wnjoyed this when we had the opportunity!!!! Parking is not easy, and oaid parking around back from what we understand. Small lots!!! If your are in Columbia, SC I HIGHLY recommend trying this out!!!

This place is surprisingly really good. Has an array amount of food options, full bar, good timing bringing out the food in a energized ambience. The big difference was Steven our server. Steven turned a common after work meal into a good and funny experience.

This was supposed to be a quick stop for some hibachi and sushi and it turned into a buffet. Everything was amazing l. The food, the service, the vibe. Our waiter Chase was working his butt off and really kept up with making sure we had all we needed. Will be back.

Oooooohhhhh emmmm geeee! I loved my experience. First and foremost, we had the best waitress, Savannah G. Ask for her! She was attentive, pleasant, fun, and engaging. She suggested the sexy roll because I'm a fan of cooked sushi but I wanted to go a little outside of the box and this roll implemented raw tuna. When I tell you the roll was sexy and delicious! Best roll I've ever had! It was so good until I had to order another. I then had the Georgia Peach cocktail which was tasty and fruity. I'm going back no exceptions.

The restaurant has a great location in the Vista Shopping Center which is a lively and energetic place to be at night. The place has kind of dim lighting which gives off a relaxed vibe but we did go earlier in the day. They seemed to have a variety of sushi rolls but we opted for their "happy hour" special where between 4pm-7pm, 3 rolls of sushi are about 12 dollars. I opted for a combination of the Charleston, Crab Crunch, and Spicy Tuna. All of the rolls were amazing as they were filled with fresh ingredients and portioned generously. The rolls filled me up and I even some leftover to-go. My favorite was the Crab Crunch so I definitely recommend trying that out. All in all, the place is great for a afternoon outing with some friends while serving some delicious food.

This restaurant had a nice modern feel to it. A big bar once you walk in with a sushi bar to the right and tables to the left. Most of the workers seemed like they were students at USC or just very young. Service was pretty slow despite it not being busy. The food was decent, lots of rice in the sushi (sticky rice, not sushi rice), and the lava cake tasted like a reheated frozen dish. Overall it was decent.

I used to go with the one that first opened up and it was pretty good but I haven't been in quite a while but I'm adding it still very good.

Service at bar....great!! Food not so much. Not fresh with odd taste for a tuna roll. Thankful for large beer to wash it down.

I live in Columbus and haven't had the options like CO has. We shared a green papaya salad, and it was delicious! I would eat an entire bowl by myself. Don't forget to tear up the basil - it completes the flavor! We got the Lotus, Lemon, Firecracker, Sesame and Pork Belly sushi rolls. That is the order I would rank the rolls in flavor. It is a shame if anyone uses shoyu (sou sauce) or even wasabi when eating these rolls. The lotus has a rice paper wrap (for those who don't like seaweed) and an aioli on top that was so refreshing and flavorful. The lemon was honestly a very close second - maybe even a tie for first. I don't normally like salmon but it was so fresh and the lemon slice was refreshing and clean!

My son and I were greeted by our server soon upon arriving to our table. We came to dinner around 8pm on a Monday night, so the dining room wasn't very busy. Our server was polite and took our order at our pace with no issues. We like to stagger our orders when we go out to eat. That way, we're enjoying every plate we share that comes out without a rush. We ordered the Salmon Carpaccio to start, but then their Yellowtail Jalapeño came out to our table instead. It was disappointing to see, but then our server came out shortly and apologized. She also made sure to make our appetizer "on the house" for our troubles. This is a gesture I appreciate coming from one service industry gal to another; very professional and hard to find these days. Once the Salmon Carpaccio came out, we were very pleased with it and loved the notes of lemon zest and oil on the salmon sashimi. Next, we were eager to try something new so we asked about the "pressed sushi," on the menu and went with the salmon avocado sushi stack. To be honest, it was okay. It was literally salmon, rice and avocado pressed together and cut into little rectangular pieces. I'll give it to our server though because did tell us that's exactly what it was. Then we ordered the pan fried gyoza dumplings and the Cambodian Roll. The dumplings were disappointing. The flavor was just okay and it felt overpriced. I just know I could get those same dumplings elsewhere for cheaper, or that I would have better luck buying frozen gyoza dumplings and making them myself at home. However, the Cambodian roll was absolutely delicious! Bravo to whoever invented it! All of those flavors, textures and temperatures came together beautifully. It was unique and very satisfying. Lastly, we finished with an ube cheesecake for dessert and it was a perfectly balanced ending to our meal.

That's about what I though too. It was really weird because we went at 4:30 PM and there was no one in the restaurant. It said to wait to be seated. We stood by the counter for about ten minutes waiting to be seated in a completely empty restaurant. The staff working just kind of looked at us like we were lost. Anyway, ordered spring rolls and they were $5.50 for two pretty small ones. Also, very greasy. I got the Singapore Noodles with chicken. It was okay. I kind of felt like I could make it at home. My girlfriend got Philadelphia Sushi and Shrimp. She said they all tasted like it came from a grocery store. I agreed. Columbia has a lot of Sushi restaurants. I'd skip this one.

The drinks were blended very well and used fresh lime juice, which was nice. The appetizers -- the kimchi fries and the boneless wings were pretty standard. The fries were crunchy, but we felt like there was more cheese than there was kimchi and sauce, so we've had better kimchi fries elsewhere. The cheese was very gooey though. The boneless wings weren't as crunchy as they could have been, especially coming out in a stone dish, but the garlic soy sauce was still pretty good. Our mains were really good -- the japchae, which I ordered with fried tofu, had the right texture and flavor, and was delicious yet spicy. The tofu was a little bland though. My partner enjoyed the squid and pork belly dish and said that the sauce was similar to the japchae sauce. The portions were pretty normal and not too big, so we had a few leftovers but not too many. The prices were also pretty reasonable as well. Overall we were really happy with our food here and would come back if we ever visited again.
