This is the best Asian food I've had in Columbia so far. I consider myself a Hot and Sour soup connoisseur. They have the best I've ever had. A friend and I went here because she had seen some comments on Columbia foodies about how great the food was. We came in last minute and it was packed. But we were able to get a table fairly quickly. We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls, which by far for the highlight of the evening. The sauce is addictive and I could have eaten three orders of these. My friend ordered the spider roll and I ordered the volcano roll and the Palmetto roll. The Palmetto roll had honey on it, which I didn't think about but the sweet mixed with the fish was not my thing. The volcano roll was absolutely delicious but know that it's pretty heavily covered in the mayo and eel sauce so if you don't want a ton of extra calories, you could ask for it on the side. My friend spider roll was super fishy. I'm glad we went, but not sure that it would be worth a trip back. The restaurant was clean and nice, but the bathroom has seen better days and there was blood on the walls so it was just really weird. Luckily went to the restroom at the end of the evening. So it didn't impact my appetite. read more

The food is actually good here, but we came and had some of the worst service in post COVID memory. We ordered an appetizer, and the tables behind, and to the side of us both had their orders messed up, so after close to 1 hour (no exaggeration) we never had a drink refill or our actual meal put in. We politely went to the bar and said in the most polite way possible that we needed to pay for these reasons, and I still tipped......because I am not a dirt bag. It still took another 10 minutes to pay. I am leaving off the name of the server, because people may need the money, but I am pretty sure that the staff and team know who it is, and the problem can be fixed by servers actually writing down orders, so that mistakes are less common, and staff covering down for others. I will happily update this review if I go back in a year or something and they have these easy, and almost cost neutral solutions implemented. read more

Food has great potential but was bland. Our waitress was polite but not friendly. She seem to be more engrossed in conversation with the bartender than serving our table. Women and men bathroom walls, mirrors, and paper towel holders need a thorough clean. An air freshener would be very nice. read more

While I am, somehow, just now writing a review for Miyo's the truth is my Daughter and I have been going there once a week for the last five years and we Love it! It's kind of an Asian Fusion place with lots of Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese items. When I go with Gogo, we always do sushi. Our favorites are the spider and rainbow rolls. The quality is unmatched in the city of Columbia. When I go with my partner we generally gets Kung Pao Chicken which they will make as mild or spicy as you want it. I also think Miyo's has the best chicken fried rice I've ever had..., try it with a little plum sauce and it's next level. All the servers are friendly and know the menu. There is a small bar up front with 4-5 seats, featuring interesting Asian beers and a full bar setup. The places is nice on the inside so it's a good fit for a date but not so fancy you can't show up in flip flops. Also there is tons of seating so if you need a place that will seat you and a big party with little notice on the weekend, Miyo's is your best bet in the city. read more

Saturday nite 1/9/21 around 6pm. Delightful dinner and atmosphere. Much improved since the last time we ate here. Definitely an improvement since they seem to have recently remodeled. Appetizers were the vegetable spring rolls and the crab rangoon. Both were exc ellent. Main course was combo sushi and sashimi with mild fish requested from the chef. Wife enjoyed that tremendously and ate all of it. Mine was the Szechuan chicken/shrimp lo-mein which was probably the best I have ever had. Service was good, but he seems a little rushed. He mellowed out a little as dinner progressed. Still five stars. 1 beer and 1 glass of wine included with dinner, and the total before tax and tip was under $58. Will definitely be back. read more

I had not been to Milo's in years since I moved to Los Angeles. The food was still as good as I remembered. I shared the vegetable tempura as the appetizer and then I had the chicken sesame with brown rice. The helping at dinner is so large I could have shared. Instead I brought it back to the house to have as leftovers. The service was great. I also had hot green tea. The place was so large and full that it was as a little louder than I would like but we were still able to have conversations at the table. read more

The shrimp wonton soup was luke warm the sushi wasn't as fresh as it was on previous visits and the seaweed salad tasted very fishy. Hearing great things about this restaurant over the past week, I knew I had to try it out. Upon entrance, one feels a sense of tranquility from the cool lighting and fresh air. Tempura is a newfangled concept therefore i decided to try some out. The Godzilla tempura is what I opted for and it was delicious. The light frying created a great balance between the dense crab and lobster. I ended getting a Wok Szechuan dinner which came with huge portions. The food was delicious and had a light spiciness to it, although I hoped for more kick. The meal could also come with some more rice as the was barely enough to mix in with the bulk of the food. All in all, this is a great location to have a casual lunch with some filling portions. read more

We have eaten at Miyo's since they opened many years ago but we might be done. The last three times at two different restaurants we have not had good meals. Tonight we ordered takeout from Forest Dr and when I picked it up there were only 3 containers. We ordered fried rice for our entrees so I asked while paying and the server said it was now inside the order container. When I got home there was no rice. I called to get a credit and the guy on the phone was rude and said I could come back and get it but I didn't want to do that. My food would have been cold by the time I did that. No credit was issued and I'm not returning to Miyo's. It's a shame because we used to love eating there. read more

We absolutely love Miyo's on Forest Dr! We come here for lunch about 2-3 times per week! Not only is the food fresh and delicious but the staff and bartenders are the true reason we come in. As we like to sit at the bar area, we usually are greeted by Eli, Ashley and/or Nick. They are always friendly and accommodating. It is so refreshing to go out someplace that the staff truly appreciates their customers. They deserve a gold star for always going above and beyond! read more

I've been to miyo's many times, but I hadn't been in years. I went today for a late lunch. We had chicken curry pot stickers, chicken lettuce wraps, jalapeño tuna, and two sushi rolls. All was delicious (I especially liked the curry pot stickers), but the star was our waiter, Christophe. He was very accommodating to all our tomfoolery. Will go again for sure. read more

Went here Saturday night...first time at this site since the Miyo's in Sandhill area closed in the northeast. My granddaughter, visiting from Wisconsin, had a craving for sushi so my wife and I decided to satisfy that with a trip to Miyo's. My wife always orders the Maestro Chicken with asparagus and green beans, her favorite. We started with a chicken spring roll (very good) and a cup of Miso soup. My granddaughter had only had California rolls so I wanted her to try a few different things. I ordered the MCafe roll (which is one of my favorites at Miyo's), a shrimp tempura roll and a Spider Roll. They all were good. I ordered an Unagi roll after that just to give her a taste of eel. She liked all of them, but was pretty full when we got to the Unagi..but she did eat one or two pieces of it. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was prompt and good. I'd only gone to the Sandhill site Miyo's previously, but this was a nice restaurant. Clean, not as large as the Sandhill Miyo's, but very nice. Recommend it! read more

Second visit - same waiter. I think the restaurant would be great IF we could get a different waiter. Dude wears a scarf tied around his head. If you get him your guaranteed to have something wrong with your order. He doesn't write anything down. He forgets. He forgets to bring drinks. He forgets to bring soy sauce. He forgets any requests. Its bad. Tonight we got our drinks and sushi quickly, but our entrees took a long time. When he finally brought everything out both meals were cold. Not even luke warm. Honestly- cold like it had been sitting. I think he forgot to bring our plates and they sat in the kitchen and no one cared enough to get him on it. I think he needs to lay off the weed and WRITE ORDERS DOWN. Gonna give this place one last try - but we don't want this guy waiting on us anymore. Let me start by saying, neither of my dishes tasted bad. They were just wrong. The Vietnamese summer rolls were not rolled properly and fell apart when you touched them. They also were missing the noodles - just a bunch of iceberg lettuce wrapped poorly around a small piece of shrimp. The pad Thai is NOT what you might expect. It has many vegetables in it (bell peppers, red onion) and the noodles are not the typical wide rice noodles that are supposed to be in pad Thai. They were also an odd yellow color. It was not served with the typical bean sprout, lime and cilantro garnish either. There was not much sauce on the pad Thai and the sauce present is not any sort of sauce I have ever had - there was obviously no fish sauce, tamarin or tamarind used. I would not recommend those two particular dishes. read more
