    Bento Box A

My first time here, and I will be back. I had the Bento Box A, Yellowtail Roll and the small Birthday roll ($46 total). I really liked the presentation and preparation of the food - 1) They don't overload the sushi with rice. 2) They don't over-bread the tempura items. 3) They don't drown the rolls in sauce. I was the first order today (I think), and after placing my order, I only waited 10-15 minutes for it to be ready. The host even brought it to my car! I don't know if things are like that once they get busy, but for a first experience - it was A+. Everything was SUPER tasty and the hostesses were so nice and helpful. Since my time in Columbia, I would say this is the BEST sushi spot in town. Definitely worth a try!

    Hair in food

I placed a take out order and not only was my order incorrect, there is hair in multiple pieces of sushi. Disgusting

Vegetable tempura and "shrimp tempura" batter does not match. Most of the veggies were onions.

It's almost hard to believe that this restaurant has 4.5 stars but after sifting through them it is mainly based on their rolls which if you read the menu is mostly made with imitation crab and cream cheese! Our reservations were for 610pm (my husband, myself, and our one year old). We arrived at 6pm. Our order was not taken until 20 min after we were seated and hence our food did not come out until 7pm so we were waiting for an hour. Our daughter is usually really easy to take to dinner but if you keep a hungry toddler waiting too long, this just adds to a already difficult dinner service situation. My husband ordered the tempura + sashimi combo. The Kabocha was not ripe enough so it tasted like a bland potato and the texture was harder than normal. The shrimp was definitely pre packaged because the batter and color did not match the rest of the vegetable tempura (pictured). The combo also did not come with rice so we had to order a side bowl of rice for $1.50 and we were surprised by how small the portion was (rice portion was about the size of two tablespoons which is also pictured next to a teaspoon). The sashimi came with a cheap white tuna (which we have never seen before) and after doing some research, white tuna is in fact not tuna at all. It is actually some kind of butterfish which shouldn't be eaten raw anyway. I also ordered ikura nigiri + hamachi nigiri but by 715 pm we still did not receive our 4 pieces of nigiri so we requested to cancel it. Our waitress brought it out immediately after our request to cancel but we were tired of waiting + my one year old daughter was restless at this point so we were all ready to leave. However she insisted it could not be canceled so we asked to speak with her manager and then somehow our nigiri order cancellation was suddenly approved. Despite waiting over an hour for our food, our waitress or management failed to acknowledge their inexcusably slow service and for that I wish I could give negative stars! Do yourself a favor and go to inakaya where the sashimi and service is so much better.

Absolutely outstanding sushi. Don't let the facade fool you when pulling in. Great quality rolls and sashimi.

I live in Columbus and haven't had the options like CO has. We shared a green papaya salad, and it was delicious! I would eat an entire bowl by myself. Don't forget to tear up the basil - it completes the flavor! We got the Lotus, Lemon, Firecracker, Sesame and Pork Belly sushi rolls. That is the order I would rank the rolls in flavor. It is a shame if anyone uses shoyu (sou sauce) or even wasabi when eating these rolls. The lotus has a rice paper wrap (for those who don't like seaweed) and an aioli on top that was so refreshing and flavorful. The lemon was honestly a very close second - maybe even a tie for first. I don't normally like salmon but it was so fresh and the lemon slice was refreshing and clean!

The atmosphere was amazing, a cozy quaint spot in a what seemed to be a great part of the city. The bar was nice and overall decor of the restaurant was eclectic without feeling overdone. Our server (I believe her name was Havvy), was pleasant as well. We started with the crab rangoons and spring rolls. The crab rangoons were a 10/10, and the spring rolls were solid as well. I'd definitely order both again. I ordered the pad kapow, which is my go-to dish I like to start with at any new Thai restaurant. The presentation of the rice was really cute and the dish itself was rich and full of flavor. My husband ordered the pineapple fried rice with beef, it was phenomenal, just as flavorful and satisfying. We ordered cocktails as well, which were made perfectly, and since it was our anniversary, we treated ourself to the coconut cake. After the first bite, I wasn't sure about the cake, but by the second bite I was SOLD. If you're looking for a laidback, non-pretentious spot to enjoy a great meal, cocktails or even just a small bite, I definitely recommend.

The drinks were blended very well and used fresh lime juice, which was nice. The appetizers -- the kimchi fries and the boneless wings were pretty standard. The fries were crunchy, but we felt like there was more cheese than there was kimchi and sauce, so we've had better kimchi fries elsewhere. The cheese was very gooey though. The boneless wings weren't as crunchy as they could have been, especially coming out in a stone dish, but the garlic soy sauce was still pretty good. Our mains were really good -- the japchae, which I ordered with fried tofu, had the right texture and flavor, and was delicious yet spicy. The tofu was a little bland though. My partner enjoyed the squid and pork belly dish and said that the sauce was similar to the japchae sauce. The portions were pretty normal and not too big, so we had a few leftovers but not too many. The prices were also pretty reasonable as well. Overall we were really happy with our food here and would come back if we ever visited again.
