This is by far the worst cook we've ever had here. Valentines show and a dinner was not up to par by a long shot. I got filet and chicken, i barley got any protein, rice vegetables and sauce. The cook totally messed up this experience by not having a experience chef. I'm guessing our shed was new and if that's the case I think you should have someone experienced with the newer chefs in the future. read more

Decided to give Toki a visit with my sister this evening. Truly exceeded our expectations! I got the rainbow roll and a spicy tuna roll and both were fantastic. My husband and I finally got around to trying out this place. The food was good and the service was as well. I wish the vegetable soba had a spicy option. They have hibachi grills, but we sat in the regular dining area. The ONLY complaint I have is the deafening happy birthday song they play. I am not against birthday celebrations at restaurants, but it shouldn't come over the speaker system so loudly that you can't hear the person next to you and the speakers are noticibly reverberating. read more

The hibachi dinner is really the way to go here, unless you have in-depth experience with Japanese cuisine and you know how to make the best of the a la cart menu items. We find all of the grilled hibachi entrees delicious. Steak, salmon, and tuna are all excellent, and the chefs are experienced at grilling the tuna so it is rare and not grey in the center. The meal starts with a very thin soup (miso, I guess) and a small plain green salad with what tastes like french dressing, which you consume while the chef is prepping the vegetables and the proteins. If your table has a crowd and the right chef is working there he will clown around with the guests by (for instance) shooting balls of rice, or shots of saki, directly into your mouth. (Quite undignified but fun and you do have a choice on this, FYI... I always say yes, and more please.) Customer seasonings are pretty minimal (you get a cup of what seems like teriyaki and a cup of the french dressing) but the grilled dinner is seasoning so adeptly that you don't really need to dump soy all over your food. Get the noodles if you want to change it up from the rice - also delicious. The local magazines such as Reach generally have a coupon for Toki for dinners. Service is very good (a little English assistance may be needed). Overall it's an excellent value considering everything you get and the experience. Fun too! A little pricey by local standards (not going to get out for much under $60 for two) but well worth it as a special occasion destination. read more

This place is beautiful on the inside and kept clean! The food was really good, though it is a little more on the expensive side. I had chicken hibachi with rice and noodles. So good, but the portions were a little small. The Tempura sushi was very good as well! It was a fun experience and I definitely will be back! read more

Food was outstanding; generous portions, fresh and great tasting. Ordered Hibachi steak, shrimp soba, black diamond roll and house maki combo for group of 3. The menu is extensive. The staff is very friendly and engaging. The facility is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Not sure what I was expecting as I went through the door but it far exceeded whatever I was thinking. Looks like they are expecting a beer/wine/liquor license as they have a nice bar area also. We love, love, love sushi!! We were pleasantly surprised when we moved to Lebanon and found a sushi restaurant. They have sushi, hot meals, as well as hibachi. They can accommodate gluten free which is amazing!! They even have offer gluten free soy sauce!! Woohoo!! We eat here at least once a week! Give them a try they won't disappoint!! My family and I were told on a Sunday afternoon at 1:30 that there were not any lunch menus that it was dinner menus only, which we thought was odd and the prices were nearly doubled. We agreed and sat at the grill. The chef was very persistent on my husband and I trying the sake which we do not drink alcohol and after several attempts of telling him no he acted like he was frustrated with us, it made us both very uncomfortable. I wasn't impressed with the $95 bill for lunch for 4 adults either. We will not be back. The place was very clean and quiet though. read more
