I appreciate that they bring the same quality food for years. It just costs a lot more now for the same food with smaller portion. It is not their fault, but it's a fact.

Amazing banchan! Love their fried tofu side dish that you don't really get at other tofu houses. Their other side dishes were great like cucumber, bean sprout, japchae. All crispy and refreshing to pair with the soup. Came with purple rice which is healthier compared to white rice This seems like a local spot and lots of Koreans hangout in this plaza. Got the Galbi tofu soup combo and the combination tofu soup. Would come again since I work close to here

Galbi short rib combo

Really wanted to like this place but ultimately can only give it a 3/5. I ordered the short rib combo which came with the spicy seafood tofu soup, rice and banchan. The short rib barely had any meat and there were very little pieces given. The pieces were also over cooked, making it difficult to consume. On a positive note, the spicy seafood tofu soup and banchan were delicious. All this for $40 + tip is not worth imo, not even for late night munchies. Service was not the best. There was only one lady working but she wasn't really attentive and kept conversing with her friends. We waited a while for our card to be returned to us.

Came here for a late night meal (9pm) and surprisingly it filled up pretty fast after we got here. I got the bbq beef combo with beef tofu soup and my bf got the galbitang. The tofu soup was pretty good. It's not overwhelming with msg. The spicy level could use some work though. Compared to BCD's spice, it ain't really much. It was actually a bit bland. The galbitang was SOOOOO good like suspiciously SOO GOOOD im suspecting there's a lot of msg in it. Either way it's still really good. The bbq beef was ok.. maybe I should've gotten the galbi instead. I don't really like the layout of this restaurant because the area sat is almost isolated from the rest of the restaurant it feels like you're sitting in storage.

What a gem of a place! I love tofu stews it's one of my favorite comfort foods and I'm so glad I finally got a chance to come to Tofu Village. The restaurant is spacious but not chain restaurant big so when you walk in you're greeted immediately and sat down. The service is quick but not pushy. Now, onto the food! The food is glorious :) Before your meal comes out one of the servers will bring out the banchans (noodles, radish, cucumbers, kimchi, fishcakes, potato salad, bean sprouts) so many flavors and textures it was awesome. To start, we got the seafood pancake to start. OMG, so good. The edges were perfectly crispy with the middle cooked well. I got the mushroom tofu and it comes with hot pot rice. My friend got the dumpling tofu. Our entire experience was so positive.I'm already looking forward to coming back!

Hidden gem for delicious korean food in gardena. We walked in without initially planning to go here, but were pleasantly surprised by the generous banchan selection, friendly service, and solid menu options. Definitely an unassuming (but yummy) spot and the windows are shaded at night so it was hard to tell if the restaurant was closed or open. We were craving hot stone bibimbap and it hit the spot! They provide little bottles of gochujang and sesame oil to add to your liking. The galbitang was very flavorful and rich, pairing perfectly with the purple rice. Easy and free parking in the plaza. Would definitely come back.

As a Korean I can confirm that Tofu Village serves authentic spicy tofu soup, side dishes, & kalbi. It's about 15 min for the LAX airport (without traffic) and open till 1:00am friday-sunday. My family was starving after our flight and happened to find this place bc it was open till late. The tofu soup is very rich in flavor and full of meat/seafood. The side dishes are also very yummy. There wasn't a single side dish we didn't love. Lastly the kalbi was so tender and well seasoned. They season their kalbi without sugar! They are known for using korean pears and plum extract to make their Kalbi seasoning. I highly recommend getting the kalbi combo so you can taste this well cooked and seasoned kalbi. Overall, if you're looking for a nice korean food spot to eat late at night with kind Korean ajumma servers I highly recommend this place!

Steaming hot mushroom soon tofu, medium spicy, and tasty side dishes (banchan)

Great food. Hole in the wall. Locals love it. Friendly Korean aunts servers = great service Soon tofu soup is better than BCD, more flavorful. We got the mushroom, medium spicy, and vegetable, medium spicy. Side dishes (banchan) were very tasty. Almost a whole meal itself. Will return.

In my book, soup season is all year long and Soondubu/sundubu is one of my favorites. I recently discovered Tofu Village after coming here with some friends and it's now my go-to spot for soondubu. Tofu Village is located in a small strip mall with tons of parking. There's parking in front and a huge lot in the back. The restaurant is on the smaller side and the servers are friendly and check in on you often. You are offered tea or water as you sit and there is a nice variety of banchan (side dishes). I love the banchan here as it's mainly savory. The last few times I had Korean food, the majority of the banchan was on the sweet side which I just do not enjoy. I usually get the combo of soondubu and purple rice. The rice comes in a clay pot so it's piping hot when you get it. The presentation and the flavor is all very comforting and delicious. Another bonus of coming to this strip mall is that there's a bakery a few doors down so you can get a pastry for tomorrow or dessert!

A solid experience here at Tofu Village. A small mom and pops Korean tofu restaurant, this restaurant features great classics such as spicy tofu stew, galgi ribs, bulgogi beef, and spicy pork. I thought the quality were certainly comparable to larger chains such as BCD. Would go and support this lovely small restaurant in the heart of Gardena!

Although I'm very used to eating at a lot of Korean Tofu places - and I love doing so particularly during chilly evening weather - Tofu Village distinguishes itself from many other Korean Tofu restaurants I have been to by offering a great variety of banchan, a really great broth in their soups, and great service from its friendly owners. I ended up getting the mushroom tofu soup, which was deliciously cozy and by itself, just right with the savoriness level. I also love how purple rice is the default option here. But the real highlight here for me was the banchan which included not so common small dishes such as lightly fried tofu and spicy marinated seaweed. Service here is as I specified earlier...great. The folks here were constantly checking up on us and provided to this place, a homely vibe. If you're in the area and hankering for something warm and filling, this is the place to go!

Beef Soon Tofu with Galbi combo

No frills soon tofu restaurant - went with a few friends on a chilly day. They have some reasonably priced combos of soup + meat. Ended up ordering a beef soon tofu soup + galbi combo. Lady brought a good amount of banchan for us and kept the refills going - definitely looked after the group! Soup and galbi were both tasty - think it's one of the better soon tofu places around the area. I have been here before and would come back again!

We came here late at night on Labor Day struggling to find an open restaurant since a lot of places were closed. We were craving a hot meal after a long day out exploring. Our meal was so delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and quick with our banchan refills and meals. The crab soondoobu was refreshing and the sizzling hot. We could tell this restaurant has been around for quite a while and knew what it was doing.

Now for the good things which there is a lot: The meat is great. I've noticed that the more popular Korean bbq spots like Gen or 92 in Torrance don't have good meat. This place 100% does. It tastes fresh. As for sides, you get kimchi, white rice, and a couple other things but there's also cilantro & onion mixed together which I thought was different. You get a salad and the assortment of sauce they provide was delicious. Their beer selection is mid but they offer soju too. I'm not very picky with beer. I enjoyed cass with my dinner. The brisket was great and if you like beef bulgogi, you would select their sirloin which is the same. The workers are incredibly friendly. They will change your grill, help put your food on the grill for you, clear out your table, etc etc. They all are very attentive. The tables are circular which is odd and then there's one big table in the back which is kind of in its own little room. I came on a Wednesday night and it was slightly busy so I can only imagine what a weekend night is like here. The music is fun & the food truly is 5 stars. I love Moon bbq. I will be back!

I also tried the red pepper stew, which I wouldn't get again. It was similar to tofu soup, but had a sweet taste. Their steamed egg was tasty. However, I didn't care for their dipping sauces. Their brisket sauce was a bit different and thicker than most kbbq places. Service was good and the workers were attentive!

We gave this place a try because we were excited to see they have Rice Wine here (since most of the mainstream KBBQ places didn't have this), and we were satisfied beyond our expectations. Parking: A very small dim lot next to the restaurant. Right below the small sign that sits above it. Ambience: We came on a Saturday night (7:00pm) expecting busy wait times but we called in and there was no wait! We were immediately seated. It's a very small restaurant, the booths are big enough to fit a family but bigger parties may need to call in to see if space is available. The vibes are especially different from most bigger and popular places but this qualifies as a hidden gem for sure. Service: Quick and nice! Second time coming to a place where they cook it for you at some points and serve you. They check on you often enough and were quick to see you get all that you ordered. Food: Absolutely nothing I've never had before, we knew we wanted brisket and pork belly, we skipped out on the combos + intestine sections bc of this. Luckily our two meat combo qualified us to also receive a soybean paste soup, steamed egg, and corn cheese for free! We additionally added rice paper to our order for a small charge. The menu is vast and I would like to come back here to try their different meats. I have never had a more flavorful brisket in my KBBQ experience before and the pork belly was thick enough and had that chewiness texture that made it so enjoyable. Employee was nice enough to inform us that the soup + steamed egg are carefully cooked with real flavorful ingredients, so expect high-quality. We didn't go into this place expecting AYCE since we believe places that offer à la carte specializes in quality, so please come with the same idea if you choose to go here! Regardless, our small bodies were filled by how much food we received! Overall, I gave this place a chance despite its smaller reviews, smaller atmosphere, and a generally smaller presence this had in comparison to its competitors. I would suggest you do the same too!
