Duck KBBQ combo is a must try! Not AYCE but a must for the unique twist on having duck that was not smelly whatsoever. This place has cozy vibes (it's not a huge space) - highlights how they're family owned! The ambience is good for those who want to enjoy bbq with family or friends. I really enjoyed the kimchi fried rice cooked in front of me. Plenty for 3 people and great to go with all side dishes and grilled duck. Many are turned down by the price but note this set comes with a range of side dishes like fried chicken, egg soup, kimchi pancake, corn cheese.

I was hankering for Korean fresh grilled meat. I did a search and came across Kko Kko Yang-Gopchang. They have a small parking lot and we lucked out as there was a spot for us, and inside the only wait was for them to set up the table for us. The restaurant isn't big, but the other parties in the establishment were all Asian, so we had hopes for a good meal. As a party of six, we ordered the medium beef combo $79.99 and their pork combo $69.99, as their combinations seemed a better deal than a la carte. I know we should be here for the meat, and the meat was tasty, but I also enjoyed the sides that came with - particularly the steamed egg, kimchi pancake, and corn cheese. The staff manned the grill for us from start to finish - finish being where they took some of the remaining side dishes and other bits to make up a kimchi fried rice right on the grill for us.

We came here looking for gopchang all the way from Sacramento! The only place we can find an intestines place is to go to LA. We came on a Friday night, not too busy about 20 min wait. The staff was very attentive, mom and pop kinda place. It was a little hole in the wall, but you know what people say, those are the best place! The food was just what we were looking for. We ordered the brisket and the gopchang and everything was delicious. The service was amazing and everyone was very attentive and helping us grill and cook the meat.

Much needed girls day and family time. Parking: There's a private parking lot. Finding a spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: Vibes, music, and great food all around. They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. We visited right at opening, so we were seated right away. Service: Shout out to Jenny for the hospitality! She even cooked the duck and mixed the kimchi fried rice for us. Some servers speak only Spanish, and others speak Korean with enough English to get by. Foods: We got the Duck Combo with Kimchi Fried Rice added on. The Duck Combo came with kimchi pancake, steamed egg, soy bean tofu soup, corn cheese, banchan, and of course grilled and spicy seasoned duck mixed with rice cakes, potatoes, mushrooms, and chives. There were lots of duck pieces, and they were cooked well. Make sure to dip with one of their sauces for more flavor! The kimchi pancake was crispy around the edges and soft in the center just as I prefer it. The steamed egg and corn cheese tasted as expected. The soy bean tofu soup tasted light and delicious. The kimchi fried rice was entertaining to watch as Jenny was mixing everything for us. It was sooo flavorful; the kimchi flavor was on point! Pricing: The combo was definitely worth it! It was more than we expected lol. Portions are shareable at least between 2-3 people.

This place has good quality of meat but their sode dishes are meh. Soybean stew - its ok it tastes like they added water. Kimchi pancake- not much of vege and kimchi, most of them is just flower. Corn cheese is good

Who doesn't like corn cheese? :)

Solid 3 stars for me. The large intestine combo all had sweet, teriyaki taste where it probably came from too much mirin. Service was okay. He did his best despite the language barrier and two other tables he had to juggle. For example, I don't think any of the tables got water until we requested it at the end. It's really hard for one person to handle the whole restaurant. Inevitably, the customer service will suffer. Your clothes and hair will smell like the food when you get home. The interior and its ambiance is very hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop restaurant vibe. At the end of the day, the food brings the customers and draws sale. I guess it's 2025 and we don't necessarily have to have a Korean server at a Korean restaurant but the food...yeah it definitely has room for improvement especially considering its price

Japchae. Sooooo good here!!

Local hole in the wall spot for intestine bbq! +my local favorite daechang spot! Located close to western and Redondo beach blvd. It's a small spot but have its own parking lot. +my boyfriend and I eat a lot so we get their large combo. For $119, you can order: small intestine, large intestine, abomasum, beef stomach, and beef heart. You could literally order one of each if you'd like or opt out of any cuts you don't like. The combo comes with complimentary benches and steamed egg, corn cheese, soybean stew, and salad. My boyfriend and n like to have variety so we order one of everything but our favorite cut is large intestine! +the meat gets pretty greasy and heavy so I always order cold noodle to cut the greasiness. So refreshing and yummy! +out of their banchan, their japchae is sooooo bomb. +the owner is very nice and attentive. I'm so glad I have this spot and don't need to go to ktown for it.

If you're into Korean BBQ, this spot is a must. They're known for super good quality meats, amazing intestine combos, and honestly--the best duck BBQ around. We got the Duck Combo and it came with spicy grilled duck, soybean paste soup, corn cheese, and all the side dishes. So much food, and everything hit the spot. Also--Jenny, the owner, is the absolute sweetest. She helped us cook everything perfectly and made the whole experience even better. We love Jenny!!

I've been here the past couple of times after this horrid review, and may I say, I was 100% wrong about everything? I fear I was a bit too critical the first visit, but for the past few visits they've been patient, considerate and kind! The food is AMAZING and I can't stop myself from indulging any further on my orders, especially the gopchang which is top-tier. It's always filled with gop (filling) and you're free to leave it on the grill for the extra crisp which makes it all the more delicious! The restaurant is not only inviting, but immensely clean and the owner and servers make you feel at home. I recommend Kko Kko Yang-Gopchang to anybody whose unfamiliar to Korean cuisine! Thank you guys for being patient with me! Much love, egg-chick lol

This was my first time at Kko Kko and it was delicious!! Super flavorful and juicy! Kko Kko is THE spot to visit if you're looking to try some homemade, comforting, Korean food. With the classic Korean jams playing in the background, you and your group are bound to have a good time. Plus, the owner is amazing!! She always provides excellent service and is super friendly. Be sure to stop by for some good eats with HUGE portions and immaculate vibes! What we ate: - The Duck Combo: grilled duck, steamed egg, kimchi pancake, soybean paste soup, corn cheese, banchan (side dishes: potato, mushroom, rice cake, chives) - Kimchi Fried Rice - Spicy Cold Noodles

You don't stumble upon a place like Kko Kko Yang-Gopchang. You happen upon it because someone takes you here. The restaurant is small and dimly lit in true Korean fashion. The ventilation is not great, so don't wear your nicest fit. It gives home-y vibes. Like literally, you feel transplanted into someone's because someone will grill the meat for you. No AYCE here - you order from set menus: beef, pork, duck - whatever tickles your fancy. Or intestines if that's your jam. While the meat was good (we had a combination of both beef and pork) the banchan was even better. Honestly it tasted like someone's mom whipped up the batch they're feeding the guests. I think each set comes with: kimchi pancake, soy bean paste soup, corn cheese, and a metal platter filled with tiny portions of stupidly good banchan. Though the portions are small, they are carefully crafted. The steamed egg shouldn't have tasted as good as it did. Even the marinated sliced onions were so damn good. I'd come back for this alone. The spicy cold noodles ($15.99) were also fire. You can eat it alongside the bbq meat or alone. In either case, the cold noodles broth was absolutely flavorful. It was the perfect complement to our meal. Check out this mom and pop BBQ joint the next time you're in the mood for some meatz.

It's different than common KBBQ chain, this one is a gem! Family owned, cozy vibes KBBQ that offered duck & intestines making it stands out than the rest! The owner is so friendly and cooked for us, very convenient so we don't have to cooked. We ordered duck combo- the banchan is so fresh ( kimchi pancake, soy bean paste soup, steamed egg..) the duck is so fresh! The owner grilled for us with garlic, mushrooms, chives... very flavorful. I can taste it is high quality right away. At the end there's kimchi fried rice which is a good combination Apparently they ordered fresh ducks and cut them themselves- not frozen, and I respect when restaurants put their heart and soul into the food, and it's been here for 23 years! I would definitely go to this one again!

Sue L.

My favorite local spot for bomb Korean bbq! They have the best pork belly, brisket, intestines and even duck. The owner sources the meat picking out only the best cuts and you can tell the difference from other spots. Service is great and vibes are super chill but most importantly you can't have a bad meal and I've been coming for years.

I genuinely think their sullungtang is the best I've had! I was really happy that this time, they had purple rice. The past few times, they only had white rice, so this was such a great change! Not sure why they were out of the purple rice for so long, but glad that it's back! Banchans are great with unlimited refills! It also seemed to include some new items, or at least ones that weren't printed out on the placemats. We've previously tried their cold noodles, galbi, hot stone bimbimbap, tofu soup and seafood pancake. All are pretty good but the cold noodle is our favorite. This time we ordered their fishcake kimbap and the cold noodle and galbi combo. I previously saw photos of their kimbap but didn't see it on their menu until now so I was excited to try it. It comes with 20-24 pieces and a side of soup, quite a lot actually for one person. The kimbap was as expected, it was flavorful, had a slight crunch (from the pickled radish) and didn't fall apart easily while eating. It comes with a dipping sauce but it wasn't particularly noteworthy and I didn't feel it is required to use. The cold noodles were a bit different this time but overall had the same flavor. It comes with half an egg, pickled vegetables, slices of cucumber, and slices of meat in an icy broth with buckwheat noodles. Be sure to add the mustard and vinegar for added flavor. The side of galbi was as expected, but doesn't arrive sizzling like at many other Korean restaurants. The flavor can vary, sometimes more flavorful than other times but overall it still pairs well with the cold noodle. Service can be a bit spotty, especially when they only have one server doing everything. It can be hard to flag someone down so be prepared to sit around for a while if they have less staff and many customers. Overall not a dealbreaker but just something to be aware of.

I thought the bossam combo was definitely worth the money for the pricing and amount of food. Bossam - 100/5, WOW the meat is so tender and flavorful! The cuts are meaty and the sides to eat the boiled pork belly with are incredible. Amazing ssamjang and I loved the salted Napa wrap with raw garlic, jalapeño, and kimchi radish. Don't miss out on the saeu-jeot (fermented shrimp) sauce for a salty and umami packed bite! Tofu soup - 4/5, the fatty pork pieces and zucchini make this such a filling and sweet soup. I really enjoyed the tenderness of the meat pieces. Doenjang - 3/5, tasty but a little too funky for my personal tastes. Bibimbap & veg - 4/5, I didn't realize this was a no rice option and has a shredded cabbage substitute. Still delicious, but wish there were more sesame oil.
