Such an awesome Korean food restaurant!!!! Parking is easy, the inside is cozy, and the service was great. The two servers we talked to were both so sweet and kind! The lady server had the most awesome, dramatic curled bob I have ever seen! She recommended the sashimi and bless for that, it was delicious. Yay!

Best korean food in town, spicy beef soup was so good! People are so nice! I ll come back to try other dishes

Location is easy to get to, parking is easy as it has a parking lot, so you don't need to worry about street parking or valet. Service is impeccable. They are constantly checking to see if you have enough banchan and are quick to refill it if you need it. They are super friendly and nice. Food came out quick and piping hot. I had the #1 and it was delicious! It was more than enough food for me. It came with purple rice and they do not skimp out on ingredients. Place is clean, spacious, and I literally have no complaints besides that I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often! Easy 5 stars for me, and I highly recommend this place.

Plenty of parking, not that many vegetarian dishes except possibly all side dishes being served. You would to ask if they are truly vegetarian side dishes? The service was friendly and they were bilingual as they were able to speak both English & Korean. So the item I ordered was the #28... Cold Buckwheat Noodles for $16.99. This is probably the best neng-myun I have ever had that does not include Asian Pear as part of its ingredients. The beef is so clean and savory. They don't overload on the vegetables inside this cold soup. The soup is so flavorful amidst a sprinkle of floating sesame seeds and a tasteful amount of pickled cucumbers.

Jagalchi is a lovely restaurant in the South Bay that serves authentic, traditional Korean food. Their sashimi, live abalone, and live octopus is always super fresh. We've eaten here several times and keep coming back for the great food and amazing service. The staff is so welcoming when we visit and helpful at answering any questions we have. The restaurant is casual but still a great place to impress family and friends with. Parking is easy since the plaza has a large private lot. I had the dolsot (hot stone) bibimbap and it was so good! The portion size was large enough for me to share some with my family and I was still satisfied with the amount I ate. They serve it with a different sauce than I usually see with bibimbap. This one was more brown than red so I'm guessing it had a soy bean paste base. I especially loved the crunchy rice at the bottom of the hot stone bowl.

I came here for dinner through the recommendation of my boyfriend. I was a big fan of my experience at Jagalchi and loved the ambiance, food, and service. The vibe was very chill and homey and the dishes were comforting. It felt like I had visited a childhood's friends house and had joined their family dinner. We had a beef bone broth soup, steamed dumplings, and boiled pork. The boiled pork was served on an elaborate hot plate and was packed with flavor and came with pickled cabbage, bean paste, garlic, and jalapenos. The dumpling and soup were perfect for a chilly evening. Their variety of bonchon was also hearty and delicious!

spicy beef stew and spicy cold noodles!

Very cozy, family-owned eatery-- dishes are made very authentically and with LOVE. This is the first Korean restaurant that I've noticed actually using gosari in their spicy beef stew. Neither Old Time Noodle nor Yuk Dae Jang add gosari in their stews and it kinda makes me sad because it's such a simple but delicious addition. Also, the rice served is heukmi bap aka "black rice" which is also a rarity! Service is fantastic and always friendly. Can't wait to be back

Fried dumplings

This seems like a very authentic Korean restaurant so my review might reflect that The service was good, the lady who stranded us was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the bulgogi hot pot and it lacked flavor. My bowl tasted like zucchini and that was the only flavor My friend ordered the bibimbap and he said he enjoyed it The meat in the fried dumplings also lacked flavor. Looking at the other reviews it may have been an off night but I don't think we'll be back

Jalgachi is my new Korean food heaven! The dishes were so good I considered learning Korean just to thank the chef properly. Great vibes, amazing service, zero regrets (except not ordering more).

[ food ]: 9/10 * Beef bulgogi: Super flavorful and presented well * Beef brisket soup: This soup almost felt like it healed my soul.It was cooked as if it was made by my grandma, with a lot of love and thought. * Panchan: I was very impressed with their panchan, specifically their kimchi and radish kimchi, usually korean spots have very sour or very bland kimchi. This place's kimchi was a perfect amount of sour and umami! [ service ]: 10/10 * The owner was serving us and she was extremely attentive, making sure that we never ran out of kimchi or water. In general she checked in a lot to make sure that we were enjoying our food [ ambiance ]: 9/10 * Cozy, comfy restaurant that was very clean but also welcoming

There are so many dishes on the menu that it's hard to decide what to eat, but everything is very tasty! I especially like the Ox-born Broth Soup!

I'm a sucker for Korean food and am always on the hunt to try new and delicious restaurants. Jagalchi has both Korean style sashimi, soups, and grilled meat here. I got trusty old galbi and it was so good. The meat was high quality and the dish came with soybean paste soup which I love as well. What we ate: No. 19 - Grilled Short Beef Rib No. 23 - Grilled Mackeral Both came with Bean Paste Soup! Service was amazing. The wait staff was so nice! The restaurant is also very family friendly. Beef short rib broth soup and banchan in the background

I believe this was a case of not ordering the correct meal: beef short rib broth soup with brisket...was not what I was expecting Broth was light and milky. Limited rice noodles ..mild flavor If you like Hot (temp) soup this lovely restaurant will light your fire I believe the spicy beef soup would be a better selection for me Banchan was pretty standard Korean condiment - good nothing exceptional Easy parking and timely service I will be back to give it another try with different soup. Metal chopsticks always raise my dexterity level

I love coming here, as the food is consistently great. The brisket is really tasty and they give you a good portion of it. Soup is always hot, not lukewarm which I appreciate. I genuinely think their sullungtang is the best I've had! I was really happy that this time, they had purple rice. The past few times, they only had white rice, so this was such a great change! Not sure why they were out of the purple rice for so long, but glad that it's back! Banchans are great with unlimited refills! Service: the couple that runs this restaurant are welcoming with good customer service. Parking: This place is located in a plaza, so there are a lot of parking spots available right out front which makes it convenient. Overall, if you like Korean food and sullungtang, I would definitely recommend you come here!

It also seemed to include some new items, or at least ones that weren't printed out on the placemats. We've previously tried their cold noodles, galbi, hot stone bimbimbap, tofu soup and seafood pancake. All are pretty good but the cold noodle is our favorite. This time we ordered their fishcake kimbap and the cold noodle and galbi combo. I previously saw photos of their kimbap but didn't see it on their menu until now so I was excited to try it. It comes with 20-24 pieces and a side of soup, quite a lot actually for one person. The kimbap was as expected, it was flavorful, had a slight crunch (from the pickled radish) and didn't fall apart easily while eating. It comes with a dipping sauce but it wasn't particularly noteworthy and I didn't feel it is required to use. The cold noodles were a bit different this time but overall had the same flavor. It comes with half an egg, pickled vegetables, slices of cucumber, and slices of meat in an icy broth with buckwheat noodles. Be sure to add the mustard and vinegar for added flavor. The side of galbi was as expected, but doesn't arrive sizzling like at many other Korean restaurants. The flavor can vary, sometimes more flavorful than other times but overall it still pairs well with the cold noodle. Service can be a bit spotty, especially when they only have one server doing everything. It can be hard to flag someone down so be prepared to sit around for a while if they have less staff and many customers. Overall not a dealbreaker but just something to be aware of.

I thought the bossam combo was definitely worth the money for the pricing and amount of food. Bossam - 100/5, WOW the meat is so tender and flavorful! The cuts are meaty and the sides to eat the boiled pork belly with are incredible. Amazing ssamjang and I loved the salted Napa wrap with raw garlic, jalapeño, and kimchi radish. Don't miss out on the saeu-jeot (fermented shrimp) sauce for a salty and umami packed bite! Tofu soup - 4/5, the fatty pork pieces and zucchini make this such a filling and sweet soup. I really enjoyed the tenderness of the meat pieces. Doenjang - 3/5, tasty but a little too funky for my personal tastes. Bibimbap & veg - 4/5, I didn't realize this was a no rice option and has a shredded cabbage substitute. Still delicious, but wish there were more sesame oil. I ended up mixing in one of the rice servings we got and it was perfect!

Only saw Korean people in there. I've never tried it before, but since it was summer, I got the kongguksu. Wile it's a cold dish, it's so heavy. I don't particularly understand why this is a summer dish other than it being cold. Very rich, very thick. Definitely not something you want to eat yourself. I believe you get salt on the side if you want it saltier. Get the bossam. It was so good, and the portion was huge. Meat was tender. The kimchi was super fresh. Braised fish was great. I don't remember which fish I got, but the flavor was perfect. Not too spicy and very clean. Don't skip out on this restaurant or the Korean restaurants in Gardena in general.

We gave this place a try because we were excited to see they have Rice Wine here (since most of the mainstream KBBQ places didn't have this), and we were satisfied beyond our expectations. Parking: A very small dim lot next to the restaurant. Right below the small sign that sits above it. Ambience: We came on a Saturday night (7:00pm) expecting busy wait times but we called in and there was no wait! We were immediately seated. It's a very small restaurant, the booths are big enough to fit a family but bigger parties may need to call in to see if space is available. The vibes are especially different from most bigger and popular places but this qualifies as a hidden gem for sure. Service: Quick and nice! Second time coming to a place where they cook it for you at some points and serve you. They check on you often enough and were quick to see you get all that you ordered. Food: Absolutely nothing I've never had before, we knew we wanted brisket and pork belly, we skipped out on the combos + intestine sections bc of this. Luckily our two meat combo qualified us to also receive a soybean paste soup, steamed egg, and corn cheese for free! We additionally added rice paper to our order for a small charge. The menu is vast and I would like to come back here to try their different meats. I have never had a more flavorful brisket in my KBBQ experience before and the pork belly was thick enough and had that chewiness texture that made it so enjoyable. Employee was nice enough to inform us that the soup + steamed egg are carefully cooked with real flavorful ingredients, so expect high-quality. We didn't go into this place expecting AYCE since we believe places that offer à la carte specializes in quality, so please come with the same idea if you choose to go here! Regardless, our small bodies were filled by how much food we received! Overall, I gave this place a chance despite its smaller reviews, smaller atmosphere, and a generally smaller presence this had in comparison to its competitors. I would suggest you do the same too!
