At Baughman's, I knew it was highly likely that I would find a great hat at a great value. Bingo! Winner winner fried chicken dinner! I found a new Stetson with a wide brim just like I used to wear on the ranch growing up in my youth. My father wore a cowboy hat everyday and everywhere he went. We found that there were two local retailers who sold Brunt Boots. We went to the first retailer and they had Brunt Boots but didn't have the style my husband was looking for. He was over trying on a bunch of boots and was ready to give up. I told him there was one more retailer close by that we could check. Right when we walked into Purpose Built I lived the layout and vibe. My husband a blue collar engineer, so when I started to see all the shirts with logos and imagery tailored towards labors I immediately feel in love. There's even a small area for young kids to play while parents are shopping. He found his boots and the young lady who assisted him was very helpful giving feedback on the boots. He ended up getting a totally different pair than he set out to get. We grabbed a couple of shirts and fun sticker decals, he grabbed an one extra for his Chief. Overall, the Americana feel and the support for laborers, blue collar union workers was awesome. We will definitely be going back. And best of all, my husband loves his Boots!!

No women's workwear…read more As a woman who works in the union trades I was really disappointed for how much hype this store has... The men's department was exactly what you'd expect from a workwear store. Ariat, Thorogood, Carhartt, rain gear, hard hats, and plenty of actual jobsite clothing. Then I walked over to the women's section. Instead of comparable workwear, it was mostly lifestyle apparel cropped shirts, fashion pieces, and stuff that gave the "blue collar look" rather than women who actually spend 8-12 hours working on a construction sites. Women electricians, plumbers, ironworkers, welders, mechanics, and laborers need durable, functional work clothes just as much as men do. Brands like Ariat came great FR women's gear, you have brands like Dovetail which I've seen other stores carry. If you're going to market yourselves as a workwear store, I'd love to see the women's department stocked with the same seriousness and variety as the men's, not just stuff women wear to look cool. I really wanted to support this business, but I left feeling like the women's side was an afterthought.

Now they have added some discounts women clothes , home decor and accessories. It is re named as " Macy's Backstage " . It is more like a " Marshall "style shopping. I can see that Macy's is trying different business models to survive . Macy's is my favorite Women clothes store . It has great customer service, especially the Pleasanton location. I hope it will be here forever !

I came to return a jacket on 2/7/25 that I bought online on 12/24/24 that was too large and had already repurchased a smaller size but they tell me that I can't return it because it's pass the 30 day return policy. I showed them my order on my phone and she still told me they can't do anything about it after I drove 1 hr to the store. Asked to speak with a manager and the lady was like all 3 of them at the store are managers. For being a manager, they all should get retrained on the return policy. Called up customer service and the lady on the phone knew more than the stores people. She looked up my tracking on my order which the store could of done because I gave them my phone to show them my order info. The customer service agent on the phone said I was able to return my item because it's still 30 days within my delivery date which was 1/14/25 (not order date!). She waived my return cost for my troubles and sent me a return label. The store should really reflect on their mistakes instead of just repeating they can't do anything like it's frowned upon to return anything at the store. Not going back to this store in Livermore again with their lack of knowledge and unprofessionalism. If they keep this up, they'll be out of business. Really like the brand but this store needs to get their act together.
