If they didn't have something in my size, they ran to the back and made it or adjusted items. The staff is amazing, and are such a huge help. I had the chance to have conversations with all the staff, the owner, and his son. I cannot stress enough how much you need to go here. Also, leather titleholders get a discount. I got their contact information and expect to get a lot more pieces from them.

Great conversations and laughs; I love the family-owned and community energy here. I feel very affirmed and respected as a trans man when sometimes certain shops can feel intimidating and invalidating. I feel seen and celebrated when I come in, which to me is the ultimate green flag. All of the staff here have been super helpful, kind, and courteous. I would highly recommend Leather Etc for all the kink folk, newbies all the way to the seasoned players! I have requested custom items, and Gurpreet has gone above and beyond in terms of communication and timeliness (turnaround time: 2-3 days for both). He even texted me additional details and photos, which made me feel really prioritized as a customer. My made-to-order items came out beautifully and fit exactly as I had wanted (bulldog chest harness and suspenders) and match perfectly with the rest of my gear. Leather Etc has specific leather colors and hardware types that are harder to find, which makes your gear feel even more personal and intimate! I also like Mr S. across the street, as they stock other products and offer a different "vibe." If you're looking for a more personal, down-to-earth, 1:1 experience with customizable options for your accessories, please go to Leather Etc! Whenever I am around the SOMA area, I have to stop in; I cannot recommend them enough!

Extremely disappointing experience…read more We drove about 20 minutes after finding this store on Yelp, hoping to have a pleasant shopping experience at Muqbool Islamic Clothing. My daughter and son came with me, and when we entered the store, we were simply looking around and browsing. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior toward my children was extremely upsetting. First, he became upset with my daughter for looking at an abaya. Just a few seconds later, he became upset with my son and told him, "This is not a playground. Stay with your mom." My children were not causing any trouble--we had just walked in and were looking around. The way we were spoken to felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. I have never experienced this kind of treatment at an Islamic clothing store before. We drove 20 minutes specifically to shop here, and unfortunately, we left feeling very disappointed and uncomfortable. Customer service and kindness matter, especially when children are involved. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this store.
