I've been sorely disappointed in Rock Hard's inventory and staff knowledge/helpfulness lately. They're missing some of what I'd call the very basics for a gay sex shop. Be wary of high markups. Popped into "Phantom" next door after seeing "Does Your Mother Know" was under renovations, but they didn't cary the lube I usually get from Mother. The guy working there was really nice and suggested I go to "Rock Hard" next door, and he told me they were like the sister store of Mother and should have the one I was looking for. Rock Hard did have the lube but everything seemed a bit high in price. I didn't really think anything of it until I realized when I got home that the same bottle I would get at Mother's was $16.99 and the one I just paid for was $21.99. I had also bought a mini bottle and I noticed that there was another price sticker under the "Rock Hard" one. The sticker was a "Does Your Mother Know" sticker and it listed the price as $6.99. I paid $9.99 at Rock Hard. So not only did they just transfer the stock from Mother, they completely marked up the prices for whatever reason. Will not be back. read more

I took a friend here and as with all items of consumtpion, shop around in terms of pricing (videos, prophylactics, toys, table top items for conversation starters, you get the picture). This store had an item that was $4 cheaper than the competing store down the block, hence our return. In addition, I have no problem perusing and pointing out specific items to my rather naive friend but a good variety of prophylactics. It was made even better when a couple of guys chimed in with their recommendations and we ended up laughing over some of the larger items of butt fun. The staff was extremely friendly and offered assistance if I needed any. Although the store is a bit small, they have a wide variety of things from which to choose.
