Where do I start? I had been to Mr. S. Once before...years ago with a partner who needed a cock ring. We went directly to that area of the store, got what we needed, and left. This time around I took the time to browse the entire store. Holy Cow! The store is sectioned by kinks: Cos play, s and m, bondage, puppy play, nipple play, cock rings , ball stretchers, dildos, etc. and of course leather. There is, without a doubt, a huge selection of leather...if it can be fashioned out of leather Mr. S. Sells it. Or they will custom make it for you. The staff is super knowledgeable and completely accommodating and encouraging. The store allows customers to try on or try out pretty much every product. Employees will gladly help you every step of the way... There are fitting rooms but I noticed most customers will drop their pants in the middle of the store rather than using them. It was hard for me not to notice some customers (and employees) playing ...if you know what I mean. Everything they sell is top quality and the variety is vast. Yes, that means it's pricier than what generic adult bookstores sell. But if you're serious about your kinks/lifestyle why would you skimp? read more

Great selection of items at a good price. They have the absolute best customer service too. Always stop in when we're in town to browse around and also take advantage of their online store when I'm not nearby. I wish I could add a sixth star to this review. read more

Been a proud owned of Mr S items for a few years now and while I don't dawn traditional leather (vegan) I proudly support small businesses like this that are few and far between. Quality gear, clothing and adult shop offering a large massive inventory of so many things. The service here is unmatched and when they hosts events like their Up Your Alley - Dore Alley Beer Garden Beer Bust (proceeds benefiting Aids Life Cycle and positive aspects of the lgbtq+ community) expect a good time. Being a shop/store and warehouse all in one as the only Mr S Leather in the world that carries a lot of it's products all over the world including Los Angeles at Rough Trade Gear and Lustern to name a few. Their website is quite impressive, though I do wish they kept more larger sizes in stock they tend to cap around Large and XL depending on the item and/or materials. Underwear, jockstraps, harnesses, etc. Also would love to see more orange lined or colors in inventory. That said you can ask and inquiry about anything and they'll do their best to accommodate everyone they can. Restrooms for customers and quite a few. Parking nearby, but recommended like most parts of SF to come on foot, rideshare and local transit (very pedestrian friendly neighborhood and city). Great place to visit if you're passing through, in-town and/or a local. An absolutely comfortable environment with incredible staff. read more

Every time I walk into Mr. S Leather I'm always greeted by smiles from everyone. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable about every product from cool & hot AF apparel from cotton to leather Neoprene to C-rings that you can actually be fitted for by the experts in brands and styles. I moved back to Dallas and asked if they did the sizing/ fittings of the metal C-rings and the associates at the adult store looked at me like I was out of my mind. Thanks to everyone Mr. S Leather. I was established in 1979 as well yesterday was my birthday and I'll be doing some online shopping with the bday $$ my fam gave me. Oh and one last thing, I love how I could always find another fellow behind me to go in together on purchasing the brown bottles at a major discount that we both could take advantage of the sale. It's always nice to have a spare bottle in the freezer for a rainy day. read more

This is the ultimate in a fetish leather store. They carry a full line of about everything you could imagine. Selection of goods is amazing The service is superior and shipping is fast. If you are looking for top quality and great service this is the place to shop!! read more

I really want to give 5 stars. The staff is phenomenal, the atmosphere is accepting, the selection is expansive, my complaint is that I wish the hours were longer. On a work trip it was a little hard to get there, but you better believe I made it work. The affordability varied based on what you are looking for, the best way to describe it: (you pay for the quality you get). With merchandise to satiate any kink, you'll be wandering around for a while! A small aside, for the gay clientele one thing I did note was that there was a slight biased to service based on the usual parameters in our community (if you're in shape, younger, attractive) you will get more.... Persistent, steady help. This is not to say that they discriminate. The staff is helpful to all and willing to assist anyone. Pretty privilege is still a thing though read more

Quality products and helpful staff. Have shopped here many times and always the staff is ready to lend a hand.

Today was the first time going to the store, I was nervous and was a little overwhelmed by all the different things in the store, I want to give props to AJ who was super helpful, and did not mind me asking a lot of questions, I got a few items to start my adventure and explore. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I just LOVE this store. What can I say, these people know their $hit! They're fun, friendly; and, very helpful. And, if they don't know how something works/is worn--they WILL find out and explain it to you. Yeah, the prices are a little high; but, you are buying well-crafted, handmade leather items. Lastly, if you've never visited Mr S the Saturday before Dore Alley or Folsom, you owe it to yourself to go. There's free beer, and, all kinds of shenanigans. Thank you Mr S Leather! See ya for Dore Alley 2025! read more

I ordered a simple thing on 7/15, they took my money and did nothing with it. I reached out on the 24th and nothing. So this is really just truly dismaying. I was always led to believe that Mr. S was renowned for their customer support. I was wrong. Gonna have to call my credit card company soon and have the charge reversed. read more

The retail team has been top-notch for the 20+ years I've been visiting them. They offer a broad, and ever changing rotation of products.

I have been buying from Mister S Leather in San Francisco for many years now. They have a fantastic selection and everything is top quality. It is more expensive than a lot of stores but definitely worth every penny read more

Super cool store with things you usually only see online. Nice to get to see in person!

The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's nice that you can try on the pumps and rings in person, especially given my thicker girth and size. Everyone is so patient and helpful, especially in the try on areas. Really big selection of toys and good value. Thanks for serving the community! read more

I attempted to purchase shorts to give as a gift and placed my order. i listed the recipients address as the shipping address and my address as the billing address. Mr. S sent me a email notice advising that they rejected my credit card transaction and that ANY attempt to place another order via a credit card or debit card would be summarily rejected. Translation: I was flagged as a fraudster. But wait - Mr. S had some wonderful news for me... They would dane to allow me a purchase if I did it via PayPal. No, thank you. I will not do business with a firm that unfairly paints me as a fraudster, scammer, or cheat. read more

I bought my boots from here, again. Been a repeat customer for at least 15 years, and I have never had any complaints about service, selection or quality. The tagline "When you're ready for the Best" is true to form for this specialty shop. I own many pieces from Mr.S and can attest that the price equals the quality in leather used and skill applied to the creation of each item. Many copy but few achieve the level of craftsmanship you'll appreciate from Mr.S Leathers. Every time I get a chance to go is a thrill. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Always willing to give a hand and instruct the proper wearing/use/idea of what can be complicated items, without a feeling of embarrassment, the folks here excel. They're great supporters of the community too! Head on in and let your imagination dominate. read more

Simply the BEST! Outstanding selection and awesome customer service! I recently sent a toy back for repair that was purchased over 20 years ago. Mr.S is the only store I need for Leather and erotica. Highly recommended! read more

A huge selection of item. Price little bit expensive but products are good quality. Friendly staff

Mr S Leather is known for their high quality and custom fittings. Their leather work is far above other stores in the Bay Area, but that quality comes at a price. Expect to pay $100+ for a leather chest harness. There are also sections inside for underwear and sex toys. Porn plays on mounted TVs. And you'll find a few leathers cruising. I recommend ordering online for Will Call pickup. The inside is quite a sight to see, though. Have fun! read more

Been there a couple of times. Definitely well supplied inventory for every sensual and sexual activity you are into. Very knowledgeable and pleasant staff. They will answer any questions and also ask you some to get a feel for what you want to get out of your playtime. Only one drawback was the trolling guys who are a bit too persistent in checking you out. They need to read the room better and just let others enjoy the store. Location parking can be a bit of a challenge, depending on what day and time you visit, however, that's pretty much every where in the soma areas. Freeway entrance is convenient as well. Definitely would recommend the store to anybody searching to fulfill their desires, fetishes, kinks, and all around passionate adventures read more

If you're looking for the highest quality leather fetish wear, look no further. Their leather is second to none and the craftsmanship is incredible - and it's all done in house. I was going to give only 4 stars because their leather is expensive,, but they are a 5 star place, no question! Even though you will pay top dollar for their leather, it's well worth it and you will hand it down to the next generation with pride. Quality like this doesn't come cheap! In the other hand, they sell lots more than just leather, and everything else is fairly priced. So, whether you're into rubber, neoprene, sports / jock wear, dildos, cock rings & cock pumps, lube (great selection at fair prices), electro-stim, bondage, piercing,... the list goes on... then this is THE PLACE to go. All are welcome there, too - men, women, trans, bi, gay, queer, non-binary, fluid, questioning, even dogs - actual canines as well as the human kind. I know I'm missing someone in that list, so forgive me, please! So, go visit Mr. S. Leather - they're a piece of San Francisco history and a global icon. And, don't forget to ask them if you can try on one of their cock-rings... Just for fun... You'll thank me. read more

I've been ordering online from Mr. S for a long time, but I finally got the chance to visit their store. I wanted to be able to try on a few things, that I wasn't sure about sizing. At the store, Plur helped me try on some great gear, that you can't really put on without help. He also mixed and matched some pieces to get the right fight for a sweet bulldog harness. I spent more than I was planning on, but it was totally worth it. I love my chest to arm restraints, heavy, but very comfortable. And I'm looking forward to a night out in my customized bulldog harness. Everyone was great, and made the shopping experience totally comfortable. Looking forward to my next trip. read more

My partner and I attended Folsom Street Fair this year, so of course we had to stop in at Mr. S Leather. I'd never been to their physical store before (only poked curiously around their website), and I have to say I was impressed by the selection of goodies for all kinds of kinks! Leather (obviously), BDSM, Pup Play, Roleplay gear, Sex Toys, and so much more. There is a bag check area (not sure if it's always required or just on busy days) before you go in. The shop is quite large on the inside so you could definitely get lost exploring for an hour or more. Staff members are friendly, helpful, and most importantly, open-minded. High definition TVs are mounted on many of the walls playing suitably stimulating material... to get your imagination going in the right direction and increase your temptation to purchase. The store also has fitting rooms so you can try on and check for fit; very important for some of the gear. Most items are pretty pricey, but it's good quality gear that might be difficult to find elsewhere. My partner spent well over $100, and we left happy and eager to get home to play. read more

Mr. S, the absolute emporium for fetish wear in leather & rubber. It's been around for decades in various locations in SOMA, south of market which is the shabby chic section. They also stock a plethora of esoteric SM equipment, mechanical and electrical. Fetish sports gear, etc. Great place to get custom fitted for heavy duty leather jackets possibly from such American leather craftspeople such as Cal Leather. My leather jacket with thick, buttery leather from Mr. S that I got in 1993 is still going strong. Great place to custom order Westco boots. Boss boots are particularly tastefully Butch. You have to come to the ultimate in fetish gear to experience the service at Mr. S, especially when ordering custom made Westco boots. Brandon, the Gummi Bear salesman, goes on his knees to measure & serve you. That's what Mr. S is all about. 5 Yelp stars for the discriminating Fetishista. read more

What's NOT to love? Five full black leather hearts rating for this Crème de la Crème candy store. Mr S Leather is one of the best leather, latex, BDSM, gear, fetish and fantasy stores on the planet. Everything is high quality. Their staff is impressively informed and their service top notch. Furthermore they have an extensive inventory and nearly everything is also available on their wonderful website as well. There's just one caveat.
