I was initially excited to try out Blue Moon Cafe but when the line was out the door my friend and I popped into Todd Conner's to grab a little brunch drink. The bartender asked us if we wanted the regular bloody mary or the bacon bloody mary... Is that even a question!? We both got the bacon bloody mary and it. was. everything! Not to mention the entire tab was only $9.00! And while we didn't get any food there all I can say is FRIED PB&J which I will definitely be going back for. My bf and I came here for brunch and we were set on trying their famous sausage gravy and biscuits, but our server let us know they were out of it. We were hungry and wandering Fells Point on a recent Friday night and we'd never been to this place. The menu looked good and in spite of the attitude from the bartenders we thought we'd give it a try, plus there was a table available outside. We took up our droll waiter on some of his suggestions and ordered the Guadalaraja Dogs and the Broccoli and Chicken Mac and Cheese. The hot dogs had a nice spicy mayo with them and a good sprinkle of chopped jalapeños and red onions. The mac and cheese was a good-sized portion with chunks of chicken and broccoli florets, a nice crusty top, farfalle pasta, and creamy cheese. It was delish. read more

If you want a cheap divey bar's bar for a beer Todd Conner's is a pretty natural spot to head to. You'll find sports on the TV, and at least someone at the bar at all hours of the day. Despite a well deserved dive bar status, it's very clean, and has a fair amount of natural light - with windows they throw completely open on nice nights. Further distancing themselves from standard dive bar are really friendly staff. And of course, the last oddity, is the lunch menu. Yeah, Todd Conner's is a destination for food too. It's bar food, but it's good bar food. The fries, second best in the harbor east area in my mind, are crispy fried with just enough seasoning that I skipped the ketchup, but not too much to be overwhelming. It's a puffy type of fry. Now, some places may have better burgers, but these start at 6 bucks (dollar to 2 for add ons) means you can walk out, easily, for under 10 bucks for lunch. If you can resist getting a beer. Which is hard, because this, as I started off, is a bar's bar. read more

In town for a conference and staying in upper fells point, we arrived in Baltimore late the first night and we were starving. As I was scrolling yelp for food, I came across Todd Conners. The menu had what I wanted and even though we preferred delivery (turns out that is not as common as it is in NY) and it was takeout only, I stuck with my gut and decided to order for pick-up. I ordered the crabcake sandwich and (with pickles and gruyère cheese) it blew my mind! The house made chips that came as a side were amazing as well. I also ordered the Mac and cheese with lump crab and it was exactly what we needed. It had a generous portion of lump crab and was made with bow tie pasta. We ended up going there for dinner the next night and had amazing food and service. We went back a few more times before heading back home. Truly, our server Douglass-who made us feel like regulars- and the buffalo pirogies- an act of culinary genius- kept us coming back again and again. Not to mention the Bloody Marys... oh! So I arrived in Baltimore late one night. We were tired. We were dirty. But most importantly, we were hungry. After a quick shower, we decided that what we needed in our lives was some fried PB&J's. In the days leading up to our Baltimore arrival, my boyfriend talked pretty much nonstop about finding fried PB&J's. So at 11:30pm on a Wednesday night, we took off on foot in the dreary Baltimore night for some fried PB&J's. Once we got to Todd Conner's, we found that neither of us really wanted a fried PB&J. So I ordered a salad and my boyfriend ordered a steak and crab cakes. We had checked in so we used our offers to get some draft beers. I tried the Crispin cider and it was delicious. Our food was good too, though nothing really stands out seeing as how I just had a salad. We left around 1am and vowed that we would be back for fried PB&J's. Cut to a few nights later. Me, my boyfriend, and a few of our friends are starving. It didn't take a lot for us to convince them to go to Todd Conner's. 1) Because it was one of the only places still serving food and 2) Who doesn't want to try fried PB&J? Our service this time was eh. I didn't really blame the guy though because he was bartending and running the dining area. That's tough! My boyfriend and I decided to split the fried PB&J and let me tell you, it was heaven. Basically it's a PB&J made on challah bread, deep fried, drizzled in chocolate syrup, and topped with whipped cream. I'm glad we shared because I don't think my arteries could have survived much more deep fried goodness. The rest of our guests got crabcakes, fish & chips, a gourmet grilled cheese (that apparently was unreal/the best sandwich my friend had ever eaten), and bacon mac & cheese. Everyone was really happy with their food. It was delicious and affordable. I will definitely be back to Todd Conner's the next time I'm in Baltimore. And to be completely honest, I'll probably have burn marks to show off when I try to make my own deep fried PB&J. read more

When Fells is too shitshowwy to handle, but your car is blocked in by random drunkies and/or drunkies who are/were your friends, head to Todd Connor's. Even on the weekends, and even when busy, it never exacerbates the headache you probably already have, and somehow manages to retain a high level of class in the midst of the debacle we call A Weekend Night In Fells. The service is outstanding. I've only ever sat at the bar so I can't comment on table service, but every time I go there I really love the bartenders. They are chatty but not intrusive, interesting, funny and extremely accommodating -- you can tell they truly want you to have a good time. I like the variety of cocktails and wine. Beer selection isn't bad for the area but a few more interesting bottles wouldn't hurt. Food's very good for a bar too. I wasn't a fan of the edamame (it was drenched in super-sweet teriyaki; I say leave well enough alone by throwing some sea salt on those suckers and calling it a day, but that's just me). However, I'd been there before and had a sandwich that qualified as above-average bar food. I like that Todd Connor's is still in the middle of the action in Fells, but way less douchey, while still retaining value for your money. As a smoker I also appreciate the tables/chairs outside and the liquor license allowing you to bring your drink with you. Note, I don't mean to hate on Fells so much; I really do like it down there, but come on. It's kind of ridiculous on the weekends. That is all. read more

My family has been eating at Tod Conner's for 6 years and we always looked forward to great food and good service however when I attempted to order from their delivery menu and couldn't find their crab Mac n cheese I called. An anxious man answered and I informed him I was trying to order the crab Mac and cheese thru delivery and he asked me "what do you want me to do about it?" I restated my question "I'd like to order your crab Mac n cheese for delivery". Again he says "what do you want me to do about it?" A 3 rd time failed to get a better response and I hung up. Maybe that slight propensity toward dyslexia has finally caught up with me but, until recently, I thought the bar located on the corner of Broadway and Aliceanna aptly utilized a feature of its location in the title. Alas, Todd Connor's (not Todd's Corner!) inspired curiosity in me primarily by its advertisement as (partly) a wine bar. "Huh, it's about time", I thought to myself, as I excitedly attended its weekly trivia night one Sunday. On another occasion, we tried some food, which was alright for bar fare but nothing special; the weekend mimosas were temptingly priced but overloaded with ice. After being told the wait for Blue Moon Cafe would be an hour and half we strolled into TC's. I'm not sure how great the Blue Moon would've been but TC's would be hard to beat. We were there for Sunday brunch and were seated and served immediately when we got there. We indulged in several $3 mimosas and bloody mary's. I had the prosciutto eggs benedict and it was perfect. The homemade hollandaise was really really good. We also got an order of apple cinnamon french toast to split. There was so much food we barely put a dent in the french toast even though it was delightful. Servers were quick and attentive constantly refilling our drinks and helping us decide on food. We definitely lingered there for a while as well with no pressure from staff to leave. So very glad we stumbled upon this place, I will definitely be back again. read more

Just went there for brunch. There was a table open outside so we asked the bartender if we could just take the seat and he said it wasn't a problem. When no one came to help us after 5 minutes, we went inside and ordered our drinks. The other bartender said the waiter would be there shortly to give us menus. We waited another 15 minutes or so for our menu, during that time several other tables received menus but not us. After 20 minutes of waiting and no service, we left. The restaurant had a fair about of customers, but was not packed. The waiter passed by us several times but never attempted to make contact with us. This is completely unacceptable service and I have no intention of going back. read more

This place is wonderful, food is good, atmosphere is good, bartenders and owners are ridiculously nice, local people. The thing that I like most about this place though, is that they have the best happy hour special I have ever seen. For $3 you get a random "paper bag" beer. It's just literally a random beer, served in a paper bag. Good beers too, like one time I got Pork Slap IPA. Delicious, random, and I drank it out of a paper bag. Fantastic. Todd Conner is hands down the worst establishment I ever set foot in. The food was not only overpriced but the presentation was awful! It was as if someone sent a code to the kitchen that an undesirable customer was present. I noticed this same trend of awful service in the other one star reviews that was similar to my experience. Perhaps this restaraunt has a Janus face and is capable of producing a five star experience but there simply are too many alternatives to give this place a second chance. What more can I say? One of THE best Mac n cheese dishes in the city.. Wings are delish, with a good spicy, crispy if you want em, and cheap during football games! Fried PB&J? Oh yes. heart attack on a plate but still heaven! We used our check-in freebie on a couple of draft beers(make sure you text their number - you get a free draft on your next visit). Yum. They host trivia night and gather quite a crowd for that as well! Steaks are good.. they do have a cheap steak night, too. Beware of a roving group of Steelers fans when the team is playing. I love that this place is so close to me, but I'm really pleased that I finally got a chance to try brunch. Every time I've come into Todd Conner's, the bartender is awesome and helpful (once to try to find a game that I didn't realize was only online - silly ESPN3). We picked our seat and ordered up a whole slew of delicious items. We shared biscuits and gravy because, well, how can you not? They were great. We got a variety of brunch dishes and all were big portions and well done. We got there right as brunch started and ordered after three other large tables, so it did take awhile to get our food and some ticket specifics were missing, but - all in all - that was okay because the staff was great and the food was yummy for the price. I was with a group bar hoping through Fells Point and we were hungry so we ordered. One in my party had lettuce wraps something, another had mac and cheese(11.99) it was huge, and I did the sirloin steak(19.99) with mashed potatoes. We ate the bar, it's a tight bar when its busy, the bartender/server had to pass salt and pepper over the bar to us because it was just sooo packed.Service was good even though he was super busy. The steak what I ate was awesome. The mashed were great too. Although I didn't get to eat all of it..but i digress. I tasted the mac and cheese and it was good too. Today, I got the burger and wasn't disappointed. If you're coming to TC's after a night out - it's surefire cure for hangovers. I've been to this place for brunch twice in the past month. The first time I went with a group of about 6 on a Sunday at noon, and we were seated immediately. We had all been up late the night before at a friend's holiday party, and this place totally hit the spot the next morning. The second time I went with my fiance on a Sunday around noon, and again we were seated immediately and had a great experience. The Bloody Mary here is FANTASTIC, as is the french toast and sausage gravy with biscuits. The egg sandwich is basic but delicious. Atmosphere is laid back, and the service both times has been great. Helpful and attentive staff. This place isn't fancy but in my opinion it has a nice vibe and above average brunch food for a good price. Update, 6/26/14: Although the brunch is awesome, I downgraded my review one star because I came here for dinner, and the food was just okay. Everyone in my group got burgers or sandwiches, and we all felt that the food was good, but nothing spectacular. I would come back though to give it another shot, could have been an off night. We only went here because I had a Restaurant certificate. I love Fells Point but never really considered coming here before because the location is a little grimy (corner of Fleet and Broadway) and the outside tables face rush hour traffic. We sat down and Daniel was quick to get us an order of beers - which surprisingly, they had a very large selection of weather-appropriate beer both on tap and in bottles. Yah! 1 point Todd Conners. Then Daniel proceeds to help us maximize our certificate by pointing out some of the unique menu items and helps us decide between options, giving very insightful tips that helped us settle on the: 1. Fried green beans with chipotle aoili sauce 2. BBQ burger 3. Crab cake sandwich I normally avoid crab cake sandwiches because they can be such duds if you don't know the place but Daniel recommended it (saying it was top 3 in Baltimore). I was suspect but he was so dead on with regards to the yumminess of the green beans, we decided to give it a go. WOW. crab cake sandwich is indeed to die for - remember that I'm a lifelong Baltimoron and crab cakes are like a religion to me- and they definitely passed the test - good crab. It was served on a foccacia style roll, which I was unsure on at first, but it worked really well. Got the $0.99 upgrade to the mashed potatoes - worth it. Slightly chunky and very garlic-y. The burger was amazing as well - VERY juicy and not over cooked in the slightest- ordered medium, got medium. I love a place that can cook a good burger as ordered - oddly that is rare around Baltimore. The meat was fantastic - like I said, very juicy and just a good ground patty. I thought it was a little high at over $10 (we got the $0.99 upgrade to the fries- also well worth it) but once I ate THE ENTIRE BURGER, I decided that the price was right- I'd gladly pay that again for such a good burger. They have a $5 blue plate special - looks enticing, so maybe I'll get that next time we go. I wasn't even all that hungry when we went, but it was soooo good that we both ate everything. And again, Daniel, our server was great, very social and fun to talk to. He even brought out a water bowl for our dog Madison which is a total bonus point in our books. We tried this place for brunch yesterday and waited over an hour to get our food. When it arrived, it was extremely disappointing. My husband got biscuits and gravy and said that the only tasty part was the gravy. I got an overpriced grilled gruyere sandwich and was only able to pick at parts of it. I've never been so disappointed at a meal, especially after waiting so long. The bloody maries were so spicey that it tore up our insides for the rest of the day. It was clever to use Old Bay around the rim, but I couldn't taste any of it because I was basically drinking a glass of tobasco. Normally I would give a place like this a second try since the outdoor seating is nice and the server comped our drinks due to the wait. However, long wait + terrible food + overpriced + made me ill = never eating here again. Edit: The owner sent a very courteous note in response to this review explaining the kitchen situation and how it was addressed. We were greeted kindly with warm Welcomes and made to feel comfortable which is not always the case with fells point neighborhood bars. They had $3 bloody marys, mimosas and screw drivers. The breakfast burrito however lacked in flavor and they had no salsa, we wouldn't order that again but would love to check out there other items!! I think Todd Connor's is going to make my butt double in size. Because I finally had the deep-fried french toast PB&J for the first time yesterday, and I can't stop thinking about it. We split it for dessert- Good call!! I'm also thinking it would be good for breakfast, just like a jelly donut. Mmmm... Some of our other food here has been hit or miss. But one of my favorite phrases in the English language is "half-price wine night," which they do TWICE a week! I wanted to try this place after reading all the good reviews. It did hold up to what people were saying about it. My fiance and I went pretty early, so it was empty on a Thursday around 5pm. We sat down and the waiter, I think his name was Jodie (maybe Joey), instantly asked us if we wanted anything to drink. He was a very good waiter, always coming back to check on us, and recommended some good beers for us. TC's were also very accomodating to what we wanted to eat. I needed to try the housemade chips. It is a must! They are fresh and well seasoned. Loved it! Also had the Maryland Crab Soup. It wasn't what we were expecting, a creamier soup, but it was a vegetable broth based soup. Different, but good, and had good amount of crab in it. My fiance wanted the ahi tuna crusted in panko with horseraddish and wasabi mashed potatoes. They didn't have it on their menu, but it was online. They still made that dish for us...and it was DELICIOUS! I wish I would've ordered that also. I ordered the steak. It was a big, thick piece. So we were in Fells Point for the wife's birthday, which always falls during the NCAA basketball tournament. So we were wandering around looking for somewhere to hang out after dinner and drink and watch games. We gave up on several places as we wandered down the block (I think Green Turtle must have a moron special or something given their clientele that night. WTF). We pondered getting some beer at a store and going back to our posh-ass room. But as we were pondering we were also standing on a corner by TC's. There, before our eyes, were 2 big ole TVs, a bar with 2 empty seats, and 2 different games on for us to watch (as luck would have it, GOOD games, too). The bartender that night was a fella named Daniel, who despite his hatred of Baltimore was really great. He took good care, was good for conversation, and took great care of us while we hung out (basically until games were long done for the night). We ended up going back to kill time (aka drink and watch more ballgames) before we took a food tour of FP (part of my wife's present). And the food tour itself hit TCs in the end. We got a sampling of a fried PB and J sandwich that was absolutely awesome. Overall I dig the place. Minus 1 star solely for having just 1 bathroom and being a bit small. Overall, though, I gotta say I'd spend time here again if I am in town. read more

Wow is their brunch good!! We (tourists) stopped in for Sunday brunch after the wait at Blue Moon Cafe was listed at two hours. We picked a table immediately and ordered a couple of very cheap brunch cocktails, both of which were fantastic (the Old Bay rim on the bloody mary was fantastic). The real star, though, was the food. The french toast is made with thick slices of some sort of wide baguette and is easily one of the best versions of french toast I've ever had. My partner had an omelette that was absolutely stuffed with veggies and was perfectly cooked. Only downside is that the service is a bit lacking and the food comes a little slow, but for how good it tastes when it does come it really doesn't matter! read more
