She recommended the lavender pedicure which comes with all the things, hot towel, hot stone, paraffin wax, scrub, massage, etc.. and then we added the an additional massage to the neck, back and arms.. my manicure was also great! I did the dip! Love the color and overall experience was great tho it did chip after a few days.. We agreed on the length she cut them to and then she chopped the sides way down. As she filed they kept getting shorter and shorter. I told her twice they were two short. She ignored me. I then told her they were the shortest nails I've ever had. She did not care. At payment the manager asked how my experience was. I said I was ignored and the nails were much shorter than I had asked for. She said Oh and processed my payment. Never had to do a charge back in my life but will be for this. Also was charged for length lmao... She took almond literally. Looks like tiny nuts on my damn fingers.

Upon reading my original review, she reached out immediately (I didn't even make it to the soak off appointment I had made for the same day) offering a partial refund and to redo my mani/pedi. I went in the next day to get my nails redone and I cannot emphasize how great my experience was. Masiel is an absolutely incredible nail tech, taking her time and paying extreme attention to detail. My baby toenail is almost nonexistent and she not only painted it, but French tipped it!!!! My original pedicure wasn't even French tipped, she just offered to do it since I mentioned I'd never had them before! I was astounded. On top of being skilled and knowledgeable, she is funny and friendly. The tech who did my services originally, apologized, and mentioned that she's working with Veronica to make sure whatever happened before, doesn't happen again. I was so touched by how everyone cares so much about their customers and the work they do. My previous review stated I wouldn't give this business any more money, a statement which I now HEAVILY retract. I would 100% return here because if something were to go wrong, I know they would bend over backwards to fix the problem and make sure I'm satisfied as a customer. In the few times I've been in, there have been multiple regulars around me who all seem right at home in the salon, on first name basis with the other techs and employees. If I lived in Dallas, I would definitely make this my regular salon too.

Zen Nails is a place I would never recommend or return to. The service, especially the pedicure,…read morewas absolutely terrible. The man who did my pedicure seemed like he didn't know what he was doing at all. He nipped two of my toes while cutting my cuticles, and one of them is now in significant pain because of how badly he cut me. When I asked him to scrape a callus on my right foot, he laughed, clearly not understanding me. I tried to explain again without even pointing, and he said "okay." He came back and use the scraper to scrub the bottom of my feet, and I kept telling him no the top of my foot, but then also scrubbed the top of my right foot, which I did NOT ask for and did not want. The whole experience made me uncomfortable and frustrated. I will say the manicure and facial were fine--I purchased a package that included a mani, pedi, and facial--but that does not make up for the pain and poor treatment during the pedicure. After everything, I spoke to who I believe was the manager. He was apologetic and said he would take $25 off my total. However, the pricing made no sense at all. The package was listed as $130, plus a $20 gel add-on, which should have totaled $150. Somehow, my total came out to $139.46, which is very confusing. If $25 was taken off, the total should have been $125. When I called back for clarification, I was told that a 20% discount was already applied to the package--but that makes no sense because the package price was clearly listed as $130 on both the menu and the website. It felt misleading and honestly like I was being played. Between the pain, poor pedicure service, lack of clear communication, and confusing pricing, this was an overall horrible experience. I give Zen Nails 1 out of 5 stars and will absolutely never return

It's nice to have a nice spot to have services done in the neighborhood, and I don't know if this…read morewas just a "me thing" or if everyone who comes here has experienced this. I walked in and was greeted immediately, I checked in on the tablet and was asked about the service I was wanting. Now I wasn't handed a menu and there wasn't a board with services and prices so I told the guy, I wanted a pedicure. He went on to say there's a $35, $45, and the price kept going up but what I wasn't being told is what all comes with the service. I finally picked the $45 and was lead to the polishes to pick a color. Once my color was picked I was directed to take a seat. The guy who came to provide my service put a weighted pillow around my neck and started the service. However I realized quickly he didn't speak very much English as I kept telling him "I'm diabetic" as I needed him to know the importance of not cutting me or using any sharp instruments on my feet (yes I'm talking about that cheese grater folks like to use). A lady came by and offered me a drink. One again, no menu so I had to ask what was available. When my pedicure was done I was told to sit and let dry however as I looked at my toes, I saw things that didn't sit well with me. The polish looked lumpy, the paint job was messy, and I had place where you can see where skin had been clipped. So I called someone over cause my guy was gone and I asked about this. She brought someone else over who took the polish off and redid the painting however they also left before the top coat was applied so I had I'm assuming one of the managers finish the job. I went during their "Mother's Day special" but I guess that didn't get applied but once again lesson learned. It's a nice clean spot however I can't say I felt that I got what I paid for. I hate that this was my experience as I was hoping for something closer to home so I didn't have to drive across town for a decent pedicure. However for me, this wasn't it.

I am updating my review: My best friend and I visited this salon while in downtown Dallas, and…read moreoverall, it was a decent experience--but there were a few things that left us disappointed. The staff was very welcoming, and we appreciated that they told us the pricing upfront--no surprises there. The drinks were a nice touch, and the salon had a friendly and clean atmosphere. My nail tech was very kind and clearly a perfectionist. She did get a little frustrated when I moved my hand, but I could tell it came from wanting everything to be just right, which I appreciated. At one point, I told her I felt a burning sensation on one of my nails, and she immediately applied a calming spray, which helped. Unfortunately, my best friend didn't receive the same level of care. During her appointment, she mentioned that her nails felt hot while the acrylic was being applied. Her tech said that happens sometimes, which we understand, as it's not unusual. But several hours later, my friend's nails are still hurting her, and she was not offered anything to soothe the discomfort, unlike I was. It feels like her concerns weren't really addressed in the moment. Additionally, she asked for a tapered square shape, but the tech told her she should ask for coffin nails next time. We know what a tapered square looks like, so that exchange felt unnecessarily dismissive. Another reason for the rating drop is that we were charged for "length"--but we both got fairly short nails. We even posted photos because it's unclear where that extra charge came from. I'm not expecting a refund, and I understand that a salon in downtown Dallas will likely cost more, but with higher pricing should come a more consistent quality of service. While parts of the experience were positive, the discomfort my friend is still dealing with, along with the shape miscommunication and unclear pricing, made this visit fall short of expectations.
