You can order two ways - kiosk (off to the left as soon as you enter) or at the register. Someone was at the kiosk when we entered so I tried the register. We stood in front, me looking at staff and we were never acknowledged. Promised the lil one a boba so we could not leave. I ordered at the kiosk. For the lil, I was looking for a real fruit or fruit puree drink. The Pink Sparkle was described as strawberry puree and fresh strawberry. We ordered one of those. At the kiosk, for the drink, I asked that the drink be mixed well with ice before removing it to serve to us. To the order, I added the Matcha Blossom with mango. The Pink Sparkle was not mixed with ice at any time during its preparation. I stood and watched while it was prepared. The two employees looked at my request on the receipt and the one preparing it kept looking at it. No ice ever. There were several times during its preparation that ice could have been added. My daughter sits on drinks so 0% ice is the best option for her to not have it eventually watered down. The Pink Sparkle was sour (not a bad thing) and at 100% sweet it was not sweet at all. There was an absence of strawberry in the drink - visually and flavor wise. The lychee jelly added a level of sweetness, the sparkling was a nice touch. When we got home I added ice. At a colder temp the strawberry flavor was present but subtle and made the drink taste better. The Matcha Blossom Mango was bitter and sweet. The flavors were all present and enjoyable. The interior of Qualitea was clean, well maintained and spacious. Seating was spread throughout, but I can see it being limited during hotter days. There is no public restroom. Maybe it was an off day, wish my drink was prepared as requested. We may give it a second chance. I will definitely study the menu and be slightly desperate to return.

Don't judge. I had just finished boxing, so clearly I deserved not only my hot oat chai but also donuts. It's called balance, right?! I grabbed a regular glazed, chocolate glazed, two plain old fashioned, and a dozen donut holes. To my delight, the donuts were delicious! I'm particular about my plain old fashioned and plain buttermilk donuts since they are my absolute favs. Unfortunately, they didn't have buttermilk that day, but the old fashioned absolutely delivered. I love when the edges and all those little nooks are crunchy while the inside stays soft and cake-like, and these fulfilled that criteria perfectly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed both the regular and chocolate glazed, enough that we decided to come back a couple weeks later. This time, somehow an apple fritter jumped into the bag. No idea how that happened. LOL The hubby was extremely happy with that addition, so clearly the apple fritter made the right decision. Great donuts and great coffee/hot chai, but what gives Cafe Tapioca that little something extra are the ladies working here. They're welcoming, friendly, and easy to have a conversation with. It gives the place that warm mom-and-pop feel that I really appreciate. Love supporting these types of spots. It's clean, there's a good variety of drinks, donuts and sandwiches to order for brekkie to lunch or anytime- it's Great spot. I highly recommend this spot.

Run don't walk to this amazing café!!!. Located in an unassuming up off the side of the road row of small businesses , Toco Tea serves the absolute best iced matcha cheese foam beverage on the planet!!! I mean the folks at Toco Tea actually understand Matcha and know how to make fresh cream cheese cold foam. And it's the kind of cold beverage on a beautiful day that you just want to never end! . And the size of the standard beverage at the unbelievable price of $6.75 is well... I couldn't drink anymore even though I wanted to. Skip the competition. Set your sights and drive on up to Toco Tea. Order up an iced Matcha with cream cheese cold foam and don't add or change anything about it. The barista knows what he's doing ; the service is great . And though the ambience is a bit cavernous, that just provides plenty of room to do cartwheels of happiness after your mind blowing Matcha with cold cream foam. Get ready for beverage perfection!!!! read more

Toco Tea is an absolute gem! Not only do they serve the most delicious boba drinks with perfectly chewy tapioca pearls, but their ambiance is unmatched. The floral wall display, as shown in the picture, is simply breathtaking. The pastel hues, cherry blossoms, and cozy hanging egg chair make the space feel both elegant and relaxing--perfect for a quick photo or just soaking in the vibe while sipping on your drink. I tried their classic milk tea and one of their fruit teas, and both were perfection--balanced, refreshing, and just the right sweetness. The staff was super friendly, the service was fast, and the overall atmosphere made it a standout experience. If you're looking for great boba and a picture-perfect spot, Toco Tea should definitely be on your list! I'll be back soon! read more

GOOD BOBA PLACES** I need to give 5 stars because I like their boba drinks a lot. Their milk tea flavors are great and I enjoyed it every time I had it. Prices are pretty reasonable for a boba drink now. The more you pay, the better quality you get is here. I know they just open, but I have to say decorations is really nice for Instagram photos. One thing I have to complain is parking. Parking is a nightmare, so tip for parking is finding spots in resident area. So check out this place for some good boba milk tea. read more

I also noticed they've received recent reviews, so I thought I'd give them another try. Unfortunately, I had another disappointing experience. I placed a pickup order during their posted business hours (8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) and received a notification saying I'd be updated once the restaurant accepted my order. After waiting about 10 minutes, there was still no update. I checked again a little later, and the app said the restaurant had never confirmed my order and instructed me to contact customer support. The customer support representative tried calling the restaurant to see if there was an issue, but no one answered. In the end, my order had to be canceled, and I was refunded. My suggestion is to make sure your hours and days of operation are accurate across all platforms. Customers shouldn't be able to place orders if the business isn't able to fulfill them. If there are limited or inconsistent operating hours, that should be communicated clearly. It's really disappointing because there aren't many coffee shops in this area, and I think a lot of people would love to support a reliable local café. I genuinely wanted to give this place another chance, but unfortunately, my experience was the same.

I was disappointed when the earlier one closed during the pandemic, so the little happy dance I made when I received a opening day announcement in a mailing postcard. This cafe is very very close to the Richmond BART station, rather it's attached to the BART parking lot. The entrance is on the main street, sometimes the doors are open, sometimes it's closed. I figured out the times when the cafe opens, so I visit there soon after eating lunch. Coffee here has been a good experience. The flavor is not sour (my type) and it's also pretty hot (my relative loves hot coffee), so the drink satisfies both of the coffee lovers in the household. The kind staff recommends adding syrup to the lattes when ordering, but personally I like the original flavor of the coffee they brew. I haven't sat in the interior cafe due to me visiting here near closing times, but there is a lot of places to sit down and enjoy a coffee and a snack. Speaking of snacks, the cafe also sells pastries. All of them look really good to try with a cup of coffee, so I'll try some on my next visit.
