Friendly, instagram worthy background pics, warm chewy boba, slightly pricier than other boba spots. Parking can be tough, but I went mid day and middle of the week. Inside is very spacious and the staff greeted me right away and offered suggestions. It was my first time at this boba spot so I wanted to try my usual (oolong milk tea) and they recommended their a milk tea favorite brown sugar boba. Not too sure if you can adjust sugar level here since it wasn't listed, but I wanted to try the drinks as how they would make it. Yes they charge if you ask for no ice (50 cents...see receipt). I LOVE LOVE LOVE when boba is warm. Not sure if it's always served warm or I just came at the right time, but the chewiness of the boba was to my liking (slight chew and bite to it). Tea flavor was throughout and wasn't bitter I liked it better than the other chain boba locations. Honestly the only downfall is the pricing because almost $7 for a basic oolong milk tea was mind boggling. The brown sugar was $5.50 which is more standard. Prices in the pandemic have gone up everywhere so I have to understand the hustle. Would I come back here? Probably when I'm in the area and need to kill time. But would I come here all the time? No, but more for when I want to treat myself. I will give a try again to see if consistency of the boba is cooked the same because that tells me if it's a spot to come back to regularly. read more

This is such a cute place! I'm so glad that I don't have to drive to Berkeley or Concord to get boba now that I found this place. There is a small parking lot, but the inside is huge and well decorated with plenty of seating. I can see it being a place where people take IG pictures or hang out with friends. The menu is placed both on the outside and inside, but we noticed that some items on the printed menu outside weren't on the screen menu inside. I suggest just going inside to see all the drinks and snacks that they offer. The service was friendly and fast! Our drinks were ready in less than 5 minutes. Brown Sugar Boba ($5.49) I specifically wanted to go here because I saw they had brown sugar boba. It was overall really great! The boba was fresh and soft while the brown sugar was sweet, just how I expected it to be. This is definitely gonna be my go to drink! Hue Coffee w/ Sea Salt Foam ($5.49) My boyfriend got this hot instead of cold. He appreciated how the cup sleeve covered the whole drink so it wouldn't be too hot to handle. He said that this was surprisingly really good! The coffee itself had a caramel flavor to it so it was almost like drinking a salted caramel. The sea salt foam also complimented the drink well. Really cute place! They've decorated the interior really nicely and it's a large space with plenty of seating. Came one afternoon with it fairly empty (1 person in line in front of me) and there was only one girl working who didn't really acknowledge me when i came up to the register to order. I ordered two drinks with tapioca which came out to be $15!! And ended up waiting almost 15 minutes for the drinks the be ready. They were tasty and I enjoyed them but for such a long wait and price point I don't think i really want to come back. Maybe adding some daily deals would be nice but I really can't justify spending so much on a snack. read more

I used to love this place and now I am against it starting today. I saw an employee walk out on the break room on her phone and then started to make the drinks. Without washing her hands. Her hand went inside the cups and started touching other things. No concern of sanitary practices from the employee. Also waited almost 15 minutes for two drinks while it is dead and only one other customer is ahead. I thought it would go faster with two people but nope taking a long time. Finally, a milk tea place that doesn't smother their drink with such nonsense like ice. I might have found a new go-to place for boba. After such a long day of work, I decided to pay this place an overdue visit. Granted that they opened not too long ago, I don't mind the chaotic scene that goes on behind the counter or the fact that my order was finished a bit later than I'd prefer. To me, what mattered was how they delivered their service and the quality of their products. For the former, the manager/owner was courteous and professional in how he handled the delay in my order. As for the latter, I liked that their menu has a pretty diverse spread of drinks and snacks to choose from. I opted for the "Three Heroes" milk tea, which came with grass jelly, boba, and pudding. I considered this as a mini-version of ShareTea's Happy Family since that drink has the same combination of add-ins as well as red beans. The milk tea itself was pretty aromatic and flavorful. As noted, I love that the drink didn't come brimming with ice like some boba shops seem to make theirs. Compared to the chain boba places, I felt like their add-in game is a bit weak since their competitors don't skimp on filling up their cups with boba pearls. Their pudding could also be creamier, but maybe that's just how I like mine. Overall though, I'm glad to finally have a new place to grab my milk tea in my neck of the wood. Pretty good boba spot. Went to go pick up some stuff I left at a friends house the night prior and didn't want a trip go to waste so my partner and I went to go check out this boba spot on the way back home. It's a very spacious boba place, usually boba places are quite small. Toco Tea had plenty of seating and some photo op areas. I ordered online for a little party hiping it's be ready after my 15 minute drive. Ordering was super easy and customizing was even easier. They have a lot of different flavors than at usual spots. I love fruit teas and I appreciate that they had mixed once's such as Peach and Passion Fruit, Strawberry and Peach, etc. They have Freezes which are like slushes and I thought were pretty good. I ordered 50% less sugar for everything and they were perfect. They only have one size but for the price plus extra for additional toppings, wasn't too bad. Because their drinks are tall, I do think they need longer straws :) Since I was in such a hurry to get to the party, I totally forgot to take pictures of everything. I did get pictures of inside which is so adorably decorated. I only had to wait 5 minutes for my entire order to be ready. No one was there so that's probably why it was quick. The staff weren't too engaged, no greeting upon entering but I did get "Have a good day" at the end once I initiated a Thank You. Came by around 7:45pm on their grand opening 08/27. It was poppin'! Luckily we came just in time as the line started to form behind us as we waited to order. The gentleman that took our order was friendly. After overhearing him tell other customers they were out of a couple of milk teas I was sure he was going to tell me they did not have any regular milk tea. BUT to my surprise that was not the case *phew*. After ordering they give you your receipt that has your order number and it's a waiting game at that point. Just the little time being inside, my bf and I noticed that there was a group of what looked like customers but also friends (or maybe family of the staff) going back and forward to the counter(laughing and making jokes) and even kept trying to go to the back "staff only" area. I mention this because it looked to be distracting the staff a lot. Other than that, it was their grand opening so I suppose the noise level was appropriate. They had a cool chair with a flower wall that was great for pictures. On the other wall they had a cool mountain mural with more flowers hanging from the ceiling. Pretty cute. Going back to my order, I over heard them call out order 14 (I was order 15) so I got up prepared to grab my order. As I approached the counter they called out order 16 which was a bit confusing. I approached the counter and asked about my order and she gave me only one milk tea. I told the woman handing me my drink that it was suppose to be 2 total and told me to wait on that second one. It's a bit discouraging to see others after you get their order so, I wasn't too thrilled that I had to wait some more for my other milk tea. Anywho, while I waited I took some fun pictures and they approached us with that second drink. We were ready to leave after it being so chaotic in there. As I was leaving I took a sip of my drink and that's when I realized my drink tasted funny. My bf took a sip of his and he said "mine is good" which I found weird. I asked for a sip of his and that's when I realized they gave me either the wrong drink or they missed something. I came back inside and told them what happened. My second milk tea was perfect but the one I had was not like the other. They kindly remade it for me and it was great. The milk tea had really good flavor (sweet but not too sweet) and the boba tasted fresh (PLUS it was nice and warm). If they take anything from their grand opening I hope they learn to be a more cohesive team rather than having all the employees scrambling to make drinks. I think 3 stars is a fair rating, since they just opened and have some kinks to work out. They're kind of on the slower side, I think mainly because the staff is new and they don't have all the drink recipes memorized yet. They are still measuring all ingredients. Totally fine. With time, they'll get quicker. One thing I think they can improve is staff wearing masks. There's one male staff member in particular I've seen a couple times not wearing his mask. He's on the younger side and very chatty. They also don't enforce customers to wear masks while ordering at the counter--i understand that most staff are probably high schoolers or college kids, and they probably don't want to confront anyone, but they could do better. Lastly, parking sucks since the new businesses have opened lol. I love that it's a popular spot, but be prepared you might have to park on the street and walk a little bit. I have tried Toco Tea before at their previous location however I felt that this location was disappointing. Maybe it is because they just opened, but still. I felt like the experience could have been better. My friends and I came an hour before closing and decided to try this new location since we loved their south bay location. Upon arriving, there were three people at the counter. One of them was just on their phone while the other two took our orders and made our drinks. The person on their phone, had their mask below their nose and honestly made my friend and I uncomfortable? They seem to be naturally chatty and told my friends and I to take pictures by their aesthetic flower wall. That we did. However, they just continued to stare at us the whole time while using their phone. Both my friend and I felt weird while we were taking photos and tried our best to not make eye contact. Our drinks came pretty quickly. My friend got his usual rose milk tea and I tried their Black Diamond Okinawa Milk Tea with Coffee Jelly. My drink was pretty good. I would rate it a 3.5/5. It was nothing special, but it also tasted good for milk tea. My friend also ordered chicken wings and mozzarella sticks. We noticed that the person who was on their phone and staring at us frequently with their mask below their nose, went to the kitchen and started packing my friend's food. We did not see if he had washed his hands. Overall, order was correct, but the next day, my friend had gotten an upset stomach and he assumed it was from the chicken wings and mozzarella sticks he got since that was the only different thing he ate from the rest of the group. Been waiting for a solid boba spot to show up in Pinole and we finally got one! Coffee is strong, tea is fragrant, the flavors here are bold which is great because a lot of boba cafes make their drinks too light, in my opinion. The boba itself is really good too, glassy smooth surface with a good chewy bite. It rivals U Desert Story in Berkeley in my experience of premium boba pearls, I was really impressed. We had the Hue Coffee w/ Sea Salt and the Panda Milk Tea and I definitely recommend both. Interior decor is very cute and colorful, a nice spot to bring a date. There's a lot of space so it's a good spot to come with a group of friends too. Definitely need to be patient with the staff. A lot of young faces still learning the customer service etiquette. Someone who ordered before me was getting irritated that our order was ready before theirs. I can tell they were focused on getting the drink flavors dialed in right and educating the staff, they definitely had more people working than they needed. So your drink might take a little longer than usual but it's worth the wait, trust me. Also, be mindful of the parking. The parking lot is a little tight and you might have to finesse your way out or park around the block. Wasn't really an issue but we had to go in reverse all the way just to exit. The cashier had no knowledge of what the drinks were made of, had to ask the co-worker if they knew how to make a drink and when I noticed my drinks were finally ready, no one bothered to call my number. I had to grab my drinks on my own , not one employee said anything. To top it all off, the cup was at least 50% ice leaving no room for any toppings. All employees should know the ingredients for all drinks, how to make them and be courteous and attentive to the customers. Update! Instead of a Sunday I went back on a Friday after after the high school got out. they were friendly and professional at the register. Got my drinks correctly made and my number called when they were ready. Considering how busy it was , I recieved my Order relatively quick. I love their boba tea's. They're delicious and their is a fair amount of choices of boba drinks that you can choose from. The service is pretty fast depending if you are ordering for yourself or a group. Obviously it's going to take a little more longer if you're picking up for a group. They are never really busy every time I come. Which is awesome! And the store can accommodate more than 20 people at a time or more because it's pretty spacious. The only thing stopping me from giving this place a 5 star, would be the customer service experience I had with the cashier. I stopped by today and an orange hair girl made me feel really incompetent for asking her what food she recommends. she gave me attitude and it was evident she tried to rush me so she could get out of speaking. Overall she seemed lazy and like she would have rather been somewhere else. Come here ALL the time - my husband and I probably average 2 times a week and have supported the shop literally from the very beginning during their grand opening. Wanted to swap out the coconut jelly with another topping but the shorter Hispanic young female at the register said they don't do that anymore for free. My husband wanted black tea instead of green tea and the girl said they don't do that anymore. We literally did this 2 days ago..... literally those exact same drinks no less. Other workers that have taken our orders have always been okay with some changes. We left without getting anything. My experience with this place is slowly getting worse and worse. Luckily for them, I love the mango yakult and waffle....but they take forever to make my order. Took about 25-30 mins for todays order because they forgot to make my waffle.
