Sat on the patio for Saturday brunch and was seated within 10 minutes. Very friendly and knowledgeable waitress (Alejandra) served us our drinks immediately! We had the huesvos rancheros and the Toast breakfast tacos. Both delicious, especially the black beans. Will definitely be back! read more

Started off the dining experience with an exceptional Bloody Mary! Even though our bartender, Danielle, was bombarded with orders, she offered amazing service with a smile! I was excited to see another small business opening up and I strongly support local businesses. The food was amazing but service was horrible. In fact the service dropped the rating by 3 stars. We waited 10 minutes to place our drink order and another for delivery. I could understand if it had been busy but there were only 5 other tables being occupied and it wasn't like the server was running around. Actually you didn't see him hardly at all at any of the tables. We were not the only ones that felt this way. Service was so poor that people at separate tables were talking to each other about how bad it was. I may go back for the food but hopefully there will be a more attentive server. read more

Came here for a family brunch today. Beautiful, bright and clean room. Waitress walked that line between being friendly and and attentive but also giving us space. Food was yummy. We can be difficult to please because we have a range of allergies, plus vegans/vegetarians. No worries - the menu is interesting, had options for everyone and our waitress was great at the subs. They have a nice looking outdoor seating area, so we will be back in the cool weather. Happy to have found our new breakfast place. read more

My family and I have been a few times now since we discovered them. They have yet to disappoint. The service is wonderful, food and drinks are amazing! especially their fresh squeezed OJ and awesome mimosas. Had to wait a bit for our food, but it was a Saturday, they were packed so we expected that and it was well worth the wait. Must try their signature toast, French toast and chicken friend steak. We've tried them three times now, unfortunately we won't be going back. The first time we went they were busy but we were seated within ten minutes. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come over to get our drink order at which time we went ahead and ordered our meal. It took another 10 minutes just to get a coffee and about another 15 for our meal. We had also had to flag someone down each time we needed to have a refill on coffee. We took it in stride as I think they were fairly new at the time and of course they were busy. The food was fine we just ordered usual breakfast fare. The second visit was much worse service wise. They were not too busy, maybe half full. 10 Minutes until someone came over with menus and drink order, 20 minutes to receive our drinks and another 30 to get our food. We were not the only ones waiting to get food and drinks, the people sitting close to us we're also waiting quite some time for their meals. Again food was fine, usual breakfast fair. Well, third time, they were not busy, service again was very slow. On this visit I decided to order the avocado toast and was very very disappointed. The avocado was spread so thin it was as if they were just spreading butter on the four half pieces of very dry toast at a price of $10.00, just for the toast, nothing else. I also ordered a side order of hashbrowns, specified very crispy. My husband also ordered the same side, very crispy but we wound up with soggy hashbrowns. You should also know if you are concerned about mask wearing that I've never seen a hostess wearing one. There was only one wait staff person on our last visit wearing his mask over his face and nose, the other wait staff had masks pulled down below their chins. "WARNING TO ALL DISABLED VETERANS" On Saturday morning(10/8/22) my wife and I arrived at Toast Gio in Apache Junction, with the intention of eating breakfast. We had our emotional support animal with us. A 7lb Yorkie, which helps during emotional challenges much more effectively than any medication. Upon our arrival I entered the restaurant while my wife accessed the outdoor patio from the exterior entrance. I informed the young lady of our presence outside and of our needed companion, along with the service she provided me. No sooner did we receive our menus that the Bartender, an older woman with bright red (dyed) hair, tattoos and a nose piercing. Stormed out and told us "NO ANIMALS WERE ALLOWED" and that we would have to leave. We complied, though confused, given the acceptance of the younger girl, providing us with our menus. On Sunday (10/9/22) we again attempted to allow Toast Gio in Apache Junction, the opportunity to showcase their breakfast. Ironically we were waited on by the same lady that forced us to leave the day before. We put in our orders and patiently waited for our food. During which time we watched this lady service other tables, from order taking to food delivery. All tables seated after us. Needless to say our food came cold and lackluster at best. As we were leaving we made a clear observation of several dogs in the patio area (one a 20+ lbs poodle type and the other an even larger breed) in the company of their owners, whom were all eating breakfast. Neither of these dogs were wearing any type of service vests but were obviously allowed to stay in the company of the owners while they ate. Hoping to avoid a confrontation, especially without the company of my emotional support animal. I waited until after the breakfast rush, to contact the restaurant (via phone) and speak to the owner. I was informed that "she" was on vacation. I requested the manager, was put on hold for an abnormally long wait, resulting in my disconnection from the call. I can't help but feel that I was targeted. Perhaps due to my military tattoos, or possibly my disability. Hopefully this woman, was responsible for waiting on us (Saturday) and simply felt compelled by her own laziness not to wait on us. Since it would have required her leaving the bar area? Regardless of the reason it definitely sent the wrong message about the unwillingness of Toast Gio, in Apache Junction, to accommodate people in need of support animals. I don't see myself continuing to patronize an establishment that allows employees to mistreat and dismiss disabled veterans. read more
