I am relatively new to the area and still finding the right places to go. I read the reviews and decided to tryTK nails. I gave it a couple of days before I posted anything. I got a mani-pedi. The girl was very sweet but think she needs a bit more training. Nails cut too short, not shaped well and many cuts to where my fingers still hurt still when on the computer. She used a very rough file which created small cuts on the skin. I did not say anything as I want to be able to see exactly how it was going to go. The shop was pleasant and clean. I am not saying I won't go back because I feel everyone needs a second chance, but my fingers need to heal. read more

If I could rate the salon as a 0 I would! I had scheduled a manicure and pedicure- The entire experience was AWFUL! Although I scheduled an appt with one person- was given another lady who RUSHED through the service. Poor quality of work, nails were not buffed or smooth, product had air bubbles and bumpy, didn't put a top coat on toe nails, 4 of my finger nails had smudged polish when I left and within 24 hours, 6 of my nails had polish that had already chipped away. I called and informed "T" the owner who said they would provide a refund- but- has not done so... so disappointed as this salon used to have quality technicians and cared about customers! read more

Anna did my nails, they look very nice, and thin, I always hate when I go somewhere and they make my nail look thick, these look almost natural, it didn't hurt when she did my acrylics like it usually does at most nail places, although the electric nail filer did nick my skin at one point. read more

Didn't honor my appointment! Made an appointment for 9:30. They did not honor it and then got me in 30 minutes later. I wanted both a pedicure and manicure, but didn't end up having time for both. I asked them to do them together because this was their mistake. They refused. That's a first at a nail salon. Will not come back. Poor customer service. read more

First visit was last week and I will say that my gel pedicure was great and nothing too crazy. However, I got a new set of nails on and since the acrylic wasn't put on correctly, it's starting to lift. Acrylic was put on extremely messy and with an over abundance on every single nail that is touching my cuticle/skin and gobbed under the tip of my almond shaped nails. Some acrylic isn't even hitting some corners of my nails because again, it was poorly applied. Also want to add how uneven my painted tips are. It's honestly just that bad. Ive been getting my nails done for a long time and this was a lazy job done poorly. I told the nail tech the acrylic was burning my skin and she just said "mm". Needless to say I will never be returning here again. read more

I am never going back here ever again!! And if you do go do NOT get your nails done by Henry. On 2/16/19 I got my nails done and they charged me 50$ and on 2/25/19 they were bubbling up and on just fell off. So I went back on 2/25 to get them fixed and they had the same guy who did them wrong in the first fix them and charged me $35!! My nails are not smooth at all and I'm embarrassed and now it's only five days later after "fixing" them and another popped off and they looked horrible!! I'm so disappointed. read more

I recently moved to Auburn and had been wanting to find a great salon so I could get a pedicure. I was in Rocklin today and decided to check Yelp to see if I could get a pedicure on the way home. I called TK Nails and made an appointment for 15 minutes after I called (just the time it took to drive there) which was so convenient. I was seated right away by Annie and she even offered me some water when I had a little cough which nobody does anymore due to Covid and I really appreciated it. She gave me the best leg and foot massage I have ever had and I've had some great pedicure massages. She cleaned up and trimmed my toenails and polished them beautifully. To start this I'm going to let you know I have visited this salon every 2-3 weeks for several months. The service has always left something to be desired, unless you're serviced by the owner. Each time I've made an appointment a day to 3 days in advance and each time I've had to wait 15-30 minutes to begin. On multiple occasions, including today, I've picked out gel colors on their sample displays and been told to pick a different color because they no longer have that one. Today I wanted a simple nude nail with tiny gold foil flakes, something I figured would not be too complicated. The woman doing my nails, Annie, went and found the gold foil and had it sitting next to her for the first hour of the appointment. She began removing the old dip topping by shoving an acrylic nail under it and prying it off each finger. I told her several times that she was hurting me and asked 4 times if she could do it in a more gentle way as to not continue hurting my fingernails. She told me I was too sensitive. Then once she was finished shaping my nails, a process that gave me 5-6 cuts on my fingers, she called another woman over to show her the picture of the nails I desired. They proceeded to pass my phone around to all 7 nail technicians working at the time and then told me that the nails I wanted were too complicated for any of them to do and to pick something else. I was told to call and make another appointment with the owner of the salon so he could do the design for me. This was after spending an hour in the chair. Feeling very disappointed they did not tell me this beforehand, I picked out a plain gel color because that was all they could offer me. I asked for them to be matte finished with one finger a different color than the rest. She tried to tell me I should do all my nails the red/orange color because it would look prettier. I told her no thank you, I'd like it this way and waited another hour for my technician to finish the nails. She did not finish them with a matte topping, but she did cut me a few more times trying to file the nails into the correct shape after applying the gel polish. I was charged 68$ for this appointment and not only did I not get what I originally asked for but I didn't even get my second option. My nails hurt and my cuticles are cut and inflamed on almost every single finger. I am very disappointed with the service I received today and did not appreciate being made to feel like a burden on the unprepared nail technicians. If you want your nails done with a plain color and don't mind being cut several times in the process, this is the salon for you. I however will not be returning. I'd rather drive 30 extra minutes to a better salon than the 5 minutes it takes to get to this one from my house. I have included a picture of the original nails I asked for as well as the ones I ended up with. They are adequate but nothing great. Best way I could describe 90% of the work done here. read more
