When I finally invest in myself, I have always hoped that it wouldn't just be a-walk in, get service, go home. I have always hoped to have a service provider make me feel "transformed". That has been totally illusive, until now! From the moment I rushed into Monica's sanctuary, late from meetings, I could feel a difference. I was greeted with her warm smile and soft voice, and already I could feel myself breathe. We talked for a moment and then she led me into the gorgeous facial room, with its soft lighting, relaxing music and heavenly scent. It was a first appt so she took the time to go over concerns and questions she had from the form I filled out. She had me get ready, and frontloaded me with what patients usually wear while getting a facial, so there wasn't that awkwardness. From the moment she started, she actually didn't start until she worked on getting me relaxed. I work in a high stress job and relaxation is never easy for me. She took that time to remind me to breathe, and let my muscles melt. She asked what essential oil would suit me most, everything was about making sure I could truly relax and be transformed by the process. The masks were all amazing, my favorite being the one at the end, the algae mask. Like a blanket of love hugging your face. Between each mask, and there were soooo many, was a hot towel wrap. My skin was rejuvenated, extremely soft, and such a beautiful color, super nice for this old gal! And my whole inability to relax? I may or may not have actually snored while she was massaging my neck and back, she just smiled and said, "That means I am doing my job right". Yes Monica, yes you did! AND to top it off was a little gift back with the product she used, and the glass freezer vials so that I could relax my face at home. This wasn't just a facial, this was mental wellness!
