Found Silvia on yelp! And decided to give her a try from all the amazing reviews she has gotten. You text Silvia to make an appointment and she is quite flexible and responds back almost immediately. Her studio is located in the back, its more of a house turned into a studio. So you can either walk through the salon to get to her either side of the house and she has her name on the door. Knock before you go in!! Because she may be with a client and I wouldn't want anyone walking in on me while I was getting a wax haha. Silvia does small talk when appropriate. Very easy to talk to. She is sweet and so so pretty!! She made me feel very comfortable even when it came to waxing the goods. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all!! OMG Silvia is THE BEST person to get waxed by!! She responded quickly and was able to wax me very quickly. I went to Silvia because I saw all the comments raving about her and I have never ever gotten a bikini line wax before and have been trying to find the right person to make the experience better for me. Let me tell you, this was the most least painful waxing I've ever gotten in my whole life!!! I did go to a few salons in Livermore before I found this gem. I always had issues at other places, either the person doing it was double dipping (IK, SUPER GROSS) or it just hurt too much. Silvia is located behind a salon but is not associated with that salon other than the fact that she rents a room from them. I say this because I had a bad experience with waxing at another local hair salon so hesitated when I realized she was in the same location as a hair salon. I am so glad I stuck with my appointment! Okay, time to be upfront and honest about a review on a bikini wax. Let me start by saying that this was my first one EVER! I'm 9 months pregnant and my hubby is gone for the Air Force. So, simply put...I was on my own for trying to keep everything looking nice! Unfortunately, my belly gets in the way, so I had to look into waxing! I found Sylvia here on Yelp, and boy am I glad I did! My experience: It all started with me texting Sylvia. She got back to me that night. Through texting, I let her know my situation. Through texts she was very sweet and fit me in on a Saturday. On Friday night, I was contemplating canceling because I was scared and going to chicken out! I was nervous about her seeing it all, etc. Also, being so prego, I have a hard time getting into different positions! So... My appointment was today... It went wonderful! Obviously, I won't go too much into detail. But, it seriously was a good experience! Sylvia put me at total ease. It's hard to describe, but it was honestly like a nail or hair appointment. That is how comfortable she made me feel!! Was even able to get all the "angles" without any discomfort whatsoever! Afterwards, I text my husband and let him know I found something "new"! All of the other reviews are spot on true! Thank you Silvia and thank you yelp for helping me find her. I'm in my 30's and never had the courage to get a bikini or full Brazilian wax before. Mostly for the fear of the pain but I admit, getting up close and personal while a stranger stares are my nether regions wasn't quite something I was looking forward to either. After 3 weeks of no shaving I gave her a call and she was able to see me right away - before I had a chance to change my mind (lol). I felt totally at ease with Silvia and I didn't feel like she was scrutinizing my ample body parts or body hair. It's not like we get to choose where our hair grows. She really is an artist who enjoys her job - the art of hair removal. She's been getting waxes since she was a teenager and waxes herself! She knows her stuff. I'll absolutely be going back to her on a routine basis (Brazilian, legs, and maybe more). And while it did hurt, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Throw your razors away friends! Update! I have seen Silvia many times since my last review and I trust nobody else with my lady bits. With conversation and music you won't even notice the wax! It goes by quick and before you know it, you have an awesome slip and slide. Silvia is awesome at fitting in appointments and is very responsive to texts. I just got home from my second wax appointment with Silvia. She is by FAR the best esthetician that I have ever been to. She is so friendly, warm and has a genuine love for her job which reflects in her work. She also gave me an arch in my eyebrows which I can never achieve on my own and other people can never get it right. Some additional info about her: she can text to confirm appointments which is so convenient, her studio is behind a salon and its always very warm and comfy, she uses a numbing spray during a brazilian which makes it much more tolerable. After a bad experience at European Wax Center (read my review) I searched for another waxer to do my Brazilian. After my experience at EWC, I should have just stopped but I knew my friends were raving about it, and I too liked it.. but I just needed a more experienced person. So I googled for places in Livermore and that's how I found Silvia. She is super friendly and makes you feel calm. AND, she does a great job! She's a little more expensive than I expected, but sometimes you do get what you pay for! Only downside is I couldn't find parking near the location and had to walk about a block.
