Despite that, the final numbers still included a GPS/security add-on (yellow "STAR GPS" sticker) and other extras that were not clearly disclosed upfront. With Governor Gavin Newsom recently signing the California Combating Auto Retail Scams (CARS) Act into law to improve pricing transparency, this kind of experience is especially disappointing. If the real price is closer to $19K, that should be reflected in the listing. I walked out. Buyers should ask for a full out-the-door breakdown before coming in.

I visited this dealership looking for one car but ended up deciding on another. They were so…read morehelpful to start. Well there weren't any banks open to complete my purchase when I was done. Even though I planned to put a very large down payment, we couldn't come to an agreement on a monthly payment. So he said he would speak to someone when the banks opened the next day so we could discuss getting the payment lowered. I was to return to the dealership the next day once everything was agreed upon or so I thought. Well the next day I spoke to the finance manager and his response was since I wasn't there in front of him the banks aren't willing to negotiate anything other than the payment that he had told me the night before. So I guess he was butt hurt because I wasn't sitting right there in his presence, so he wasn't willing to call any of the banks to see about getting a lower payment for me. Although the car was overpriced according to KBB and they even put in a higher price than they had the truck lister for. That's what happens when you deal with Mom and Pop dealerships. They try to get over on you if you don't watch out. So that deal just wasn't meant to be anyways. And that was their loss on a sale. With such a large down payment I don't have to chase anyone down to get a car. And I actually purchased a vehicle the very next day from a large well known dealership. I'm not fond of writing this review but I write it in the hopes that someone reads and makes an…read moreinformed decision about this business practice. About a week ago I went to check out a Subaru Forester and asked if it had any issues, I was promised that the car had no issues and ran smoothly. Mike was polite enough to allow me to take it to Fairmount Tire and Brakes for an independent vehicle inspection. However, already while driving the car I hear a loud groan while revving the engine past 30 miles an hour, a sign of a bad wheel bearing. Sure enough I get to Fairmount and I am shown that the car has a bad front left wheel bearing, brake pads that are almost completely eroded, tires with cracks, and more issues. Repair costs were estimated to run in the thousands. So I go back and show Mike the diagnosis that I got from Fairmount. I took the day off of work and don't want to go back and forth to see this car again or need to get another inspection, so I tell him I can take the car today if he knocks the repair costs off the car. Mike said he would have to check with the mechanic and get back to me. Okay, whatever. So after a few days of me having to call him to check on the car status -- he never calls back -- he finally tells me that the car was checked and it passes their (his shady dealership's) standards. He offers me a measly 200 bucks off the car price, ridiculous as just the part alone for the wheel bearing is 210, not to mention all the other issues with the car. I tell him no, but my time is already wasted. Buyers, beware and make sure to bring a mechanic or take the car to get inspected. Hope this guy doesn't waste your time too.

I made the drive from home to here, which took about 45 minutes one weekday evening. Once here, I was able to test drive the car. Everything seemed fine, and I informed them that all I needed was a pre-purchase inspection, and that I would buy the car cash. I showed up the next day, and took the car to get inspected at a local mechanic shop. The inspection proved the car to be good for purchase, and I went to my bank to get a cashier's check. The staff here took care of all the paperwork, and got me going in my new car in a very short amount of time. Fast forward a few weeks, and I asked them to help me expedite the arrival of my permanent plates, as I had temp (paper) plates at the time. They were able to pull some strings and get me my permanent plates within a few days. These guys are on point. This is the most seamless car purchase that I've ever had.
