I first got my haircut from Take at KC Stylist and he kept me on his contacts list and I just stayed with him because he consistently does a great job with cutting my hair. I love this solo setup at regency because it's more private and there's not a bunch of other customers around. I really hate to do this because he was a really nice person and explained very well what he was doing to my hair. He also gave me a huge discount for processing my hair twice. Unfortunately, my hair got worse and worse as I washed it. I didn't notice the unevenness when I left his studio since it was not that prevalent. First, I did not like the color I left with, it was not what I wanted, it was too brassy. I came in with half dyed hair, so I understood my hair was going to be more of a challenge. I had to apply a purple/blue shampoo at home and that didn't help much so I had to go apply a toner. I got close to the shade I wanted initially, so I was content that it only took a toner to fix that. The issue here was how horrible my hair got after each wash. It became so bad that I had to dye my whole hair back to dark brown because that was the only way to hide the stark band my hair had. He told me he used two different dyes on my hair, but it seems he forgot to blend it properly, or he didn't apply the lightner well enough. It is as if he missed to properly apply the bleach between my natural hair and the dyed hair I came in with. It is upsetting you go in somewhere to get lighter hair but have to go back to a darker shade a few weeks later because of a few mistakes from the stylist. If you see his other images he does a very great job at highlighting/ and haircuts, but if you are coming in with patchy hair or previously bleached/dyed hair I don't think he is the right person for you. read more
