First and foremost, I am very excited for this place! I really admire the creativity in the products - who thought to make milk tea custard?? with boba on top?? I LOVED that this place has a lot of drink flavors that aren't commonly offered anywhere else (like the pineapple tea I tried last night - refreshing and fun!), and there are so many I want to try like the pink sala fruit latte or honeycomb toffee cafe latte. The milk tea custard with boba tasted like a milk tea flan, which was just as amazing as it sounds. (The other food item on the menu that caught my eye is the the crab sandwich!) Staff is super friendly and sweet - they seemed to be training and enthusiastic to be on the job which is refreshing. Some recommendations BUT NOT to detract from the immense adoration and excitement over this place. -I took my mom and aunt here after dinner, and they were worried that there weren't too many non-caffeinated options offered (but maybe they're not the targeted clientele/demographic). -The boba texture isn't what I'm used to (not as chewy as I'm used to). -Next time I might ask to reduce the sweetness of the tea - still SOOOO good, but just wondering if that's an option. -Last night, I think they forgot to put the boba on the custards, which weren't as good as the milk tea custard with boba that I tried. The sweetness of the boba seemed to really take the custard to the next level. All in all, I'm very excited to go back and try more drinks and food at this place! Drove past this place today and decided to give it a try because it was new! SO GLAD. we decided to stop by and try this cafe out. The staff was super friendly, the place was clean and so cute! Now let's talk about the food!!! I had the prosciutto sandwich and I can say i'm obsessed and will be going back and eating that sandwich again. Everything tasted so fresh. The adorable cafe is a much needed addition to the Burbank foodie scene with a variety of milk teas and Asian inspired sandwiches. I had the crab sandwich (the ciabatta bread was super soft and tasty)! I recommend adding Thai chili to your sandwich if you like heat. The rose milk tea was also really good. I got a lavender milk tea which was delicious! I'm always a little hesitant about ordering a lavender milk tea at a new place since some places can make it too fragrant/strong. TK Cafe got it just right. Not too strong & it has enough flavor without being off-putting. I would definitely recommend it. I asked if they had beignets cause I saw a poster of it outside the parking area, but she said that was for Popeyes..but she offered me a Nutella puff which is a new item she's working on. It was light, fluffy, and had just the right amount of Nutella inside. So delicious! I would get it next time it's on the menu. It totally made me forget about the beignets. The food here is SO good. They're focusing on take away food, so food that you can grab n' go after school or during lunch. I had their salami sandwich with croissant and salad, and my fiancé tried their spicy crab sandwich with chips. We would love to come back and try all their food! The salami sandwich was so good for how simple it is, and the spicy crab was REALLY good. If you like the spicy shrimp rice balls at Gam tu Bop in Glendale it is a similar flavor. We also tried their vegan mango coconut "pudding" with agar, which was DELICIOUS (if you love mango sticky rice you have to try it!). We also got to try their chicken curry puffs and they were also a must try (and way bigger than I expected). I was really impressed with their friendliness and their selection of teas on the menu as well. Jasmine is my favorite and they do have it, even though it isn't listed on their menu currently! If you have a specific tea you want but don't see it on the menu you can always ask because they seem to be adding more. There's parking easy enough on the streets or there's two spaces designated for it in front of the store. This place is Asian owned, locally owned, and REALLY good! I had a chance to stop by TK Cafe today after coming cross it on Yelp. I live in the area and have gotten so tired of the lack of a good spot to grab a delicious lunch that isn't a burger or Pizza, or costs $40.00 for a few lunch items (restaurants in the area, which by the way are mediocre). I tried the crab tacos... my initial reaction was "wow." SO delicious. Flavor was balanced, perfect amount of ingredients, and not gonna lie, I used the salad dressing as sauce for the tacos and daaaamn that was good!!! Lol I met Fawn, who's the owner. I respect that. Way to go, I wish you all the best in your new endeavor. I think you're going to win over the hearts and bellies of all the locals here!! Totally needs to be a go to as well for anyone driving out to Burbank for Round 1 that opened in the mall. Pass on that mall fast food and grab some fresh grub at TK. I loved the friendliness of the staff and their openness to ask me for my feedback on the drink since they just opened.
