I did get boba in my drink even though I ordered it to be without, but I felt bad to ask about that after they served me. I have been wanting to visit TK for many moons. Specifically to take my nieces but most of those days were Sundays and TK is not open on Sundays. We finally got to visit TK when they were open. Nieces and I had a sandwich and tea kind of lunch before heading to the park nearby. The place was as cute as I remembered seeing it when it first opened. The drinks could be ordered through the touch screen kiosk or by the cashier. One thing I noticed is the kiosk having different pricing than the actual menu. However, I did they their earl gray milk tea without the bob. As soon as I ordered the tea from self-checkout kiosk stand, they brewed the tea from scratch. And made the tea on spot. But it took about 15mins to prepare one drink (perhaps they were too busy chatting with friends) Although I appreciated the authenticity of the tea, the drink itself wasn't too impressively good. I've ordered Boba from here multiple times and can't sing their praises enough! My favorite item on the menu is the the Cooke Monster Shake, which includes ice cream, milk, crushed oreos, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. I also get boba added to it for that additional texture and contrast between warm boba and cold ice cream. Servers are always very nice and usually consist of local high schoolers. You can order over the phone for easy pick up as well! I've only eaten inside once, but I appreciate the plants and cute decorations. We arrived around noon time and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of parking available at this time. We were quickly greeted and we began to question just about everything on the menu. Everyone was very nice to explain everything and our hunch of getting the pesto and the crab bowl were spot on, they also recommended that. They have both counter top and regular height tables. Plenty of seating inside. For drinks we went with their TK Sunset which was a great surprise. The mango jelly they put in there just enunciates the flavor in this lemonade. Highly recommend. The bowls were good and definitely recommend if want a rice bowl but I will be coming back just for the pesto sandwich! Stopped by Friday night at TK Cafe in Burbank. Located in a strip mall, parking can be tight but we managed to find a spot. The ambience is cute and charming. The service made us feel comfortable and right at home. Here is what we got to eat and drink. Strawberry Matcha - subtle and delicious. The flavors blend so well together. A definite must have. TK Sunset - a wonderful blend of strawberry mango lemonade with butterfly tea. I also added mango jelly. Give it a good stir before you drink and it was sweet and not sour. A cool and refreshing drink that you have to get. Smoked salmon sandwich - yiu have your choice of bread and we got it on a croissant. Yiu can get a bag of chips or pay extra for a side salad. We went with the side salad and it came with a delightful honey mustard salad dressing. The croissant was light and flaky. The large amount of smoke salmon with the cream cheese and veggies was a delicious blend. Spam musubi bowl - lots of fresh vegetables with crispy spam over a lot of rice made for a filling meal. I mixed everything together and ate it all. It is a new item and I highly recommend getting it. Overall, a wonderful experience with friendly and helpful service. A 4.5 for this great little spot in a small plaza. We came here on a Friday right after the lunch hours. The interior isn't very big but there was a table open for us. Like many of the restaurants as of late, the trend seems to be you place your order at the counter, then they'll call you to pick up at another station when it's ready. The young lady, whom I believe is the owner, since she told me TK are her grandparents' initials, was working the front line and was very pleasant and patient as we studied the menu. Shortly after we sat down, the food was ready, which was great for hungry people. The spicy crab sandwich was the best part of lunch. Served on a soft croissant, it had the perfect amount of mild heat and full of flavor. The pesto with chicken sandwich was served in a fresh and soft ciabatta bread. The pesto flavor was bold, the chicken was chopped and tender, all topped with gooey melted cheese. Delicious! These 2 sandwiches were what we knew we wanted and both comes with a bag of chips, but the 3rd item was based on their recommendation, the BBQ pork bowl. It was served like a poke bowl, with vegetables, rice and diced Thai style pork accompanied by a sweet sauce. It wasn't bad, had a lighter sweet flavor but wasn't our favorite. Next time, we'd stick with their sandwiches. Everything is self serve including busing your own table, so there wasn't much interaction with the staff compared to a full service restaurant. Cute little cafe here in Burbank! There is parking available just keep in mind there's other shops nearby and it can get crowded. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and didn't realize they had a bogo 50% which is awesome! We ordered 4 drinks, they were all so good and had a great boba to drink ratio. I got the une cream series, with 75% sweetness. It was still a little too sweet for me so I would adjust even more next time. The brown sugar float was a favorite, the ice cream meshed so well with the coffee and gave it a nice affogato type taste. I ordered a small ube creme boba with, 25% sweet and added sea salt foam cause I'm obsessed. Omgosh, as soon as I walked out I regretted getting the small, the drink was sooooo goooooood! I'm not a boba/drink snob so I'm not picky with my drinks but,, it was so good. Perfect sweetness, whole milk, ube wasn't super overpowering but still has great flavor and the slight saltiness from the foam was the cherry on top. Annnnnd, they had stickers on the front counter for any nerd to look through. At 50 cents per sticker, it was a great deal. Ended up paying $4 for 8 stickers.
