Got a couple pizzas for an easy dinner one night. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, meat pizza and gluten free veggie pizza. I really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza and thought the meat pizza was okay. We're at our lake house for a week and everyone wanted pizza tonight. We briefly considered buying supplies to bake pizzas and decided we didn't want the mess tonight. We haven't ordered pizza out here anytime recently so we weren't sure where to order. I did a quick search and TJ's had some good reviews, so we gave it a try. The prices were reasonable. Food was ready in the time specified. Everything smelled great on the whole drive home. We got 4 different types of pizza and we were happy with the selection and quality. We had a meat lover's, a pepperoni, a cheese, and a gluten free with mushrooms and peppers. I am gluten sensitive, so I didn't taste the first three mentioned, but they looked and smelled lovely. All of my family seemed to enjoy them. They said the pepperoni was a little spicy. The gluten free pizza was ok. Nothing to write home about...but I am grateful they had a gluten free option. The crust was an odd consistency and stuck to the foil pan it came on in multiple sections. Flavors were generally good though. I would definitely eat here again, it made dinner with my family easy tonight, not to mention - plenty of left overs for breakfast/lunch tomorrow. read more

This place has to be the most inconsistent quality of food! My family and I have tried several times to give them a chance to redeem themselves. However, we ordered mussels and there are two different sizes we ordered the 10 count. I guess they assume people wouldn't count them but I did and there was eight. So if they are doing this with every order I guess that's their way to try and scam customers and cut corners. We also ordered pasta fagioli on a different occasion and there was actually no pasta and a quarter of the cup was filled with beans and the rest was filled with broth. And for six dollars a cup horrendous. My husband asked the worker what happened and he said it was probably the end of the pot and made no effort to fix it. Last night we ordered pizza and when we got it all the cheese was coagulated. So It must've been reheated and not a fresh pie. Like I said we have given this place several chances and we will not be going back and will make sure anybody in the area is looking for recommendations we will not recommend them!!!! Don't be intimidated by the look and feel of this place. It looks cheesy and small town quality but after having several pizzas here I must say it's the best in town!! Crust is the same every time, strong enough to hold heavy toppings and a great taste. The pizza is not too greasy and has lots of flavor! They don't have many specialty pies on the list but every time we call and ask for a philly cheese steak pie they make an amazing one even though it's not on the menu. I highly recommend it and they should expand their menu!! The chipotle pie is INCREDIBLE!!! One of the best pies I've ever had. The balance of flavors is perfect and it's quite unique to TJs. This was my first visit to TJ's Pizza. It was a Wednesday at 1:30pm. The place has a fair number of tables. I ordered three different slices including buffalo chicken and sicilian. Most pizza tastes the same as they did today. The sicilian was flatter than others I've had. I ate my meal while watching the U.S. Open Tennis and the Dr. Oz show on the televisions while listening to "Every Breath You Take" by The Police. There's not a grand selection of different slices probably because most people come in for $.99 cheese slices with the purchase of a drink. It's fine for a quick bite. read more

Ok I decided to go back and give this place a retry . I got to say I am very happy that I did decide to go back . Very impressed the last two times of ordering from Tj's this month. Pizza was out standing and the garlic knots are delicious so is the chicken parm and meatball parm sandwiches. Staff at the Franklin shop has definitely improved and I got to say are very very nice and polite and professional now . They are a super busy place but now when you go in to eat in or pick up your order it's like your family. I don't exact when these positive changes took place but I'm happy it did . So I moved into the area from the Passaic, Bergen county areas. Lots of places to compare TJs to. I ordered from another place initially because it had a location in this area. After trying that a few times we thought we'd branch out and try something new. Got an awesome chicken cutlet sandwich and pizza from TJs the frist time out. It all went down hill from there. Three orders in a row were screwed up... 1) forgot an item and was told Id receive a discount on my next order, which i never saw. 2) very next order had a pizza that I can only rightfully assume had a glass of water dumped on it. 3) after waiting an hour and 40 minutes I received a stone cold ( and somehow also burnt) pizza, cold garlic bread and sandwich. Only the sandwich was remotely edible. I called after an hour and 10 minutes and was told my order was just leaving.... 30 minutes later (7 minute drive) i received my dissapointment. I called up TJs and they were only willing to refund for the pizza... less than half the order and id have to speak to the owner on wednesday otherwise. What kind of place worth its salt wont stand by their service enough to refund a customer after delivering slop after an hour and 40 minutes. Shame on me for giving them another chance and they kept my money for it. Wont spend another cent in this place and beware, they will take your money and run if they have to. Im proof. read more

Okay, I get it. I live in North Jersey and good pizza is as rare out here as an NYC cab passing through. So be it. Still, graded on a curve even, this place is shy of tolerable. You know the crap lazy house wives foist on their cheating husbands when they finally show up from the "office". I will not eat the bullshit pizza. Not the regular slice with it's chewing gum like crust or the overpriced, undersized, gourmet specialty dog shit slices. I give it two stars because the option of zero is not available and one star would be cliche somehow. That and the people have not ticked me off yet. Unfortunately the place is run by okay folks. Just popped into grab a slice on the way to wedding reception because I was starving. I ordered was a meatball slice, and to fountain Pepsi's, and it only came out to $3.98. Over half the pizza went in the garbage because it was burnt so bad and we ordered a large salad most of that ended up in the garbage. I ordered there and there was a problem with my order. Delivery kid got here with my pizza and when I originally called to place the order I paid with a card. When the delivery kid got here he had no knowledge that I paid with a credit card, so he walked back to his car, with the pizza in hand as if I was going to run away and eat the pizza without paying , and called to find out the problem and realized that the credit card receipt was on the pizza box, I tipped him $1 for the gas even tho I shouldn't have tipped him anything. For twenty'three dollars I received left over zeppole rollings covered in dried parmesan (cold, and they're called garlic sticks [signature!]), a plain pie with a burnt (black) crust with cold cheese and sauce, honey barbecue wings without so much as a hint of honey in the sauce (also cold and without celery bleu cheese or even a piece of foil between them and the styrofoam container) and a warm bottle of Sierra Mist. I was too livid to have a polite phone conversation, so my wife called to let them know what had happened. The high school girl on the phone said "I'm sorry." and hung up.
