Bowl of Hot & Sour Soup, Sweet and Sour Shrimp, Seafood Delight, Fried Rice, white Steamed Rice
Jessica L.

My family and I were craving Chinese food. It was already getting late but we found this place doesn't close until 9:30pm. My son is usually a picky eater. But he got the orange chicken and he ate most of it and drank all his egg drop soup. My other son loved the fried rice mostly and I shared my sweet sour shrimp. It was nice hot and crispy and I ate mine with white rice. Hubby got the sesame chicken. He couldn't stop talking about the sauce. And the portions were a big portion. Enough for leftovers the next day. Instead of appetizers we got a big bowl of hot sour soup. I wish it would be more spicy and add some tobasco sauce but my boys and hubby loved it cause it wasn't spicy. Service was great as well. We had 3 different guys servers checking on us and our main server checking on us multiple times. Not in annoying way like some restaurants do. Most definitely coming back.

This restaurant is tucked in a shopping center next to McAllister's. It's a nice and quiet and the ambiance is very chill. The food portions are really large. So it is definitely filling. Our waiter was awesome and food came fast after ordering shortly. I think this is a nice gem we found here on the NW side of SA. Will be coming back here for Chinese food in the future!

Chicken fried rice and sesame

As an individual from NC who has had great southern Chinese food this was horrible. The lo mein noodles are fettuccine noodles covered in sauce. The sesame chicken was incredibly dry and hard to even take a bite out of. We asked for no spice chicken wings and was instead given curry chicken. And the fried rice is incredibly bland. Do not recommend! Do not go here.

Great food and options. Friendly staff. Spacious, clean restaurant. Plenty of parking. I discovered this restaurant after I received their menu in my mailbox. I noticed that they have plenty of options that I was interested in, so I made a point to go there for dinner last night. I couldn't make up my mind, but ended up with general tso shrimp. My friend got the lemon chicken. Both serving sizes were huge. The general tso shrimp is marked as spicy on the menu. I did ask for them to make it less spicy. I am a chicken when it comes to spice, so I did feel like the less spicy version was a tad bit spicy still. Next time, I'll just ask for no spice and add my own spice as needed. The meal came with either fried rice or white rice. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The sauce was delicious and they gave me enough to soak my rice in it. My friend enjoyed her lemon chicken. I saw a lot of people taking their food to go. Definitely a great to go spot. I want to return to eat a few of the other items on the menu.

This is still the best Chinese restaurant in San Antonio! The food remains consistent even after 6 years of visiting this place! I had to update my review because after living in San Antonio for 5 years and now having comeback from living in California, this is still one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever visited and worth 5 stars for the quality the portion size and just the overall excellent flavor of their Hunan 3 delight and their fried rice! Their happy family is delish and well just every dish I have tried!! I love this place!! The service is always on point and the ambiance is just your good local clean Chinese restaurant and it's a must try if you are in the area! You won't be disappointed! Not the super authentic Chinese but if you like Chinese food you will certainly enjoy this!

It's small & locally owned. The staff are all team players. We were checked on constantly and their new spicy wings are THE BEST, if you like a pleasant spicy these are perfect. I felt like I was in a Korean drama-- all I needed was the beer Will definitely be back!!! PS Do not recommend the Thai tea

Nice little Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend the hunan or sichuan chicken. I also enjoyed the wonton soup as well. Would definitely go back!

K Chicken Lo Mein

Fast cheap Chinese food. I got the Chicken Lo Mein, came with a lot of noodles but barely any meat. Overall underwhelming 4/10.

Some of the best Chinese food I've had in Texas. Portion sizes are huge and the food tastes amazing. Service is also very good. 10/10

I ordered the crispy dumplings (pork) and spring rolls as appetizers, and the spicy noodle soup as my entree. My server came to take my order, and brought me the items as they were ready. The entree came out before the appetizers. The spicy noodle soup was spicy (as named) and it was good, but it was incredibly oily and the noodles were overcooked, so I didn't eat much of it. I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. I wish she would've checked in on me a bit more during the visit so I could have gotten more napkins and sauce. The service was alright. I wish I would've gotten checked on a little bit more, but she was nice and helped me pack my noodles to go. Overall, this spot wasn't terrible, but if I had to choose, I'd probably try another place.

We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. The appetizer we ordered (veggie steamed dumplings) came out with one less dumpling than promised on the menu. My wife's noodles were nothing special, as was my spicy/numbing pot. I felt my pot in particular, was over-loaded with huge chunks of veggies that could have been better chopped as to be more manageable. More chicken and beef in that chicken and beef pot, too, please ... The person waiting on us, if you could call it that, was not personable and could not have cared less about interacting. His drive by meal drop-offs were the epitome of antisocial. Probably won't return.

It was the in between time of late lunch 2:30-3pm so we thought we would miss the Sunday afternoon church rush. The parking lot and restaurant was full but didn't let it scare us. Only had to wait 5 mins. Don't let the full restaurant fool you. The wait staff checks in often and moves tables very fast. Pro tip- you can hang outside and check out the koi fish in the pond to kill some time Sat down and drinks came out fast ordered dim sum which came out in the cute steam baskets first. Shrimp Shumai and pork bao buns were so good. My kids asked for seconds We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, spicy eggplant/tofu, shrimp& broccoli and the combination fried rice. Everything was perfectly seasoned with the exception of the sweet and sour chicken. It was very bland. Next time I want to order the orange peel chicken instead. Looked good and now we know! So much food we'll have leftovers for a few days. Score!

My daughter and I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was better 15 years ago…read more It is too westernize now; meaning the food is more cater/made for western taste. When you walk in up to the restaurant, the view of ponds with large koi fish was very welcoming, however as soon as you open the door/walk in...it's a chaos of sports on tv and western music that will burst your burst your tranquility from the front of the restaurant. The restaurant was busy since it was lunch. We were seated right away. However it took the waitress a few before knowledge our small table. The waitress was in a hurry and look like she already had a bad day. She asked quickly what we would like the drink and we said water and hot tea but ask what type of tea they have? She mumble something I could not understand. So my daughter ask for green tea. We started off with appetizer as usual. Shrimp toast, chicken wrap, Asian bbq ribs then a cup of hot & sour soup. Main dish were Moo Shu Pork and Mongolian beef. Soup came out first...it was lukewarm. Cup was hot but soup was lukewarm. It was vinegary and salty. This is the first time I had seen/tasted imitation crab meat in a hot and sour soup. I'd flag the waitress down to let her know the soup was cold and if she can bring me another or warm it up for me. She gave me an annoying look and took the soup back to the kitchen. The Asian bbq ribs come out then the shrimp toast a few minutes later. The shrimp toast looks appealing. The shrimp were whole shrimp on top of bread, fried bread. It was ok...no real taste and a bit greasy. There were too much honey and chewy/tough for the Asian ribs. My soup comes back hot to touch... which means it was microwave...but not an issues; what was is ...it was still lukewarm soup. I try to finish it but couldn't. Soup needs to be hot; especially hot & sour soup. The chicken lettuce wrap was delivered. It was again salty; no real taste, except for the salt. A lot of mushrooms over powering the this dish. Keep in mind we had a small table and dishes are pilling up. It took a few before anyone came to pickup the plates. Half way through our appetizer, the waitress dropped off Togo boxes with a bag right after the chicken wrap was dropped off.... Staying it's for later. So we went ahead and packup the appetizers into the Togo boxes to make room. The main dishes came out about 10 minutes later. My daughter was very surprised by her Mongolian beef. It looks more like pepper steak then Mongolian beef. Most Mongolian beef are cook with green onions, yellow onion, garlic, sesame seeds and large slices of beef...some with a little sauce other dry so this is a the first for us to see a Mongolian beef looks like that. It was again too salty. There was more bell pepper than beef. The beef was slice small. The moo shu pork come out already wrap?? Which confuse me. Most of the time the thin rice pancake is on the side and moo shu pork is a little sweet and savory that comes with plum sauce so you can spread as little or lot of plum sauce into the rice pancake then top it off with moo shu pork. Since it was all roll up...it was very messy trying to pull it open to put the plum sauce. The dish lack favors...it had a char like taste. Usually moo shu pork is very flavorful and fill with flavorful juice from the ingredients like cabbages, bamboo, onion, mushrooms and eggs. There was no favor except a char taste. I have eaten here before a long time ago and it's definitely not the same taste/food and experience. We pack the food home so we can get a second opinion from other family members and the results were the same. I would never recommend for anyone looking for Asian cuisine. But if you like America/Asian cuisine/atmosphere then this is a place for you.
