The store is very clean & organized. I didn't find anything I really liked (or needed). There aren't very many name brand items, including home stuff. Unfortunately, that's how these type of stores are...hit and miss. The worst TJ Maxx ever. Is it my fault that I look young? The customer service behind the jewelry counter refused to help me. Instead he helped the older customers first. I walked around the counter for 20 min. and no helped not even a glance. So I finally asked for help he said: "Let me help her first". I was like WHAT?? How much more discrimination can one person take? I pick up whatever that was on the counter and left to pay at the cashier. Update: my husband lovesssss the watch i bought for him. This TJ Maxx location seems older and dirtier than others I've been to, but I will definitely be back again. You can find some gems in amongst the disorganization! I was very impressed with the shoe selection, although it was very messy and lots of shoes were left on the floor after people tried them on. I tried on a cute pair of wedges from Cole Haan that were still $100 at TJ Maxx. I can't imagine what they cost retail. They were a little too high for me and hurt my legs (even though they had the Nike cushioning in them), so I didn't get them even though they were really cute. I did find a pair of Lucky jeans that normally sell for $88 (retail tag was still attached) which were $29.99 here. That's a good bargain in my book! I didn't look through the rest of the clothing because I can only handle so much at a time in these kind of places, but I'm very happy with my jeans purchase. UPDATE: I found the Cole Haan sandals on the CH website. They were originally $275 and are now on sale for $189.95. TJ Maxx is selling the same shoes for $99.99. Quite the deal! read more

This TJ max at the Tustin market have poor customer service. I have been a loyal customers for the longest time. I have no issues with the one that is near me in orange. But every time I enter this location I do not feel welcomed. I was there was last week when I needed some bakeware and was shopping without a cart. My hands was full of merchandise so I asked one of the employees that was working on that end cap for the empty cart that was next to him. He refused to give me the cart. I was a bit confused. I wonder to myself why he doesn't want to help a customer or to build sale for the store. I think he needs some more training. If anyone from TJ Max is reading this. I would not recommend this location to anyone or even give it a star. Poor customer service. read more

I'm definitely a TJ Maxx fan. I think that store beats Ross, Marshalls - type stores w/o breaking a sweat. This is my first time at this location and I was very impressed by the shoe selection. It also helped that I had just come from Shoe Week at Ross' nearby and found it less than impressive. You pay a little more at TJ Maxx, but gosh darnit, you find some really good gems! They offer some really nice Steve Maddens, Uggs, Ed Hardy, BCBG, Converse, etc. The most expensive brand name I saw was only $40 and they were really nice lookin' heels you can strut around Vegas in. I found the perfect pair of sandals - the type of I've been looking all over for, here for $20. They'll usually have the 'it' fashion of the season, shoe - wise at TJ Maxx. The rest of the store I've def seen better variety at other TJ Maxx locations, but I'm def happy w/the shoes here! Ugg sandals? awesome! read more

To appease a female friend, I accompanied her to this particular store. This store is very organized and has very wide aisles even where long rows of clothes are displayed for greater maneuverability. The majority of the clothes are for women. In their kitchen department, their display models are gathering dust. Many of their clearance shelves are empty. Different colors of the same model of shoe may be priced differently at this location. Some sneakers are less expensive than at Sports Authority even after using discount coupons at the sports store. A brief power outage forced them only to accept cash during this particular visit, but at least they informed the customers about it prior to them walking into the checkout. One can only enter through the entrance and exit through the exit... but they're not clearly marked. We found this out the hard way by attempting to stand in front of the exit for a minute while waiting for it to open. read more

As far as this TJ Maxx goes, I just wasn't a fan. My wife seems to like it, as far as women's items, there's definitely a bigger selection. I came in by default, again, the wife, I go where she goes! I looked around and was super disappointed with the selection of men's clothing. I was literally done looking at my sizes in their clothing in like 5 minutes, which sadly left me with 1 hour of walking around looking at crap waiting for my wife. Finally, I found a "man chair" over by the dressing rooms, so I sat and waited there. One of my pet peeves,...I know you're a discount store, but it doesn't mean you have to treat your merchandise as if it's junk. While looking at the non stick pans, I noticed that they were all just stacked on top of the non stick surface and scratching it. Also, when I was looking at different items, there's no system to anything. The rows may be tagged S, M, L & XL, but nothing was where it was supposed to be. The place is just chaos! Anyways, if you're a bargain hunter and don't mind the "hunting" part, you'll probably be ok, if you're a man or picky about actually finding stuff where it's supposed to be, then you may want to avoid this place. If you're a man, and you're here because the wife dragged you here, there's a small chair by the dressing room, so get your phone and go have a seat, play games, or Yelp while you wait! Worst tjmax experience got two tops for a gift and they didn't fit & had all the necessary tags that were attached to the garments. I couldn't returned them because the garments were not bought at this location they advised me to go to other tjmax combo store to return my items. Both managers were rude and didn't even consider taking my items back. I have returned items before at another location without a problem I guess they don't know what there doing and as far as there customer service goes they deserve a zero. Never returning to this tjmax location. I have contacted the district manager told him how they treat there customers poorly. So sad don't you employees realize without customers you guys don't have jobs think about that before you talk down to someone. Not a huge fan of this TJ Max. It's small and not a great selection of items. I walked in looking for work clothes and walked out 10 minutes later. It was that quick to literally look through every rack. They didn't have very many clothing options for smaller/fit people. I wanted some new work pants or work skirts and i'm a size 2 or 4 which I feel like is pretty average. They literally had one TINY little section for size 2/4 which had like 6 pairs of pants. Why I'd suggest you to go to T.J. Maxx at other locations? 1. They don't have enough carts at the entrance so I had to grab one from the street. 2. They put away my cart while I was searching for something to buy and there were a lot of stuff in my cart! (They've put all the stuff I need to buy back to the shelves... how nice...) 3. Their stuff has time to search for carts that belong to someone but doesn't have time to put carts at the entrance or help customers who's hands are full of stuff and really needs a cart. read more

I've been here numerous times and have always managed to find something. I recently came here looking for a present for a friend, and had a not so friendly experience. I had managed to find some things that were all pink that she would like since she loves pink, and it took me about an hour to find about five things. I left my cart an isle away because it was too crowded in the isle with all the frames and books. I really only left the cart for about a minute, and when I went back it was gone. It was extremely irritating. I asked one of the workers whether she had seen my cart and she said her manager took it to the front, so I went to the registers to ask and they said they didn't have my items. I looked around the store numerous times and asked the girl in the fitting room and she said she saw someone taking it to the front. All of this took about fifteen to twenty minutes. Finally, the manager realizes, oh yeah I brought your stuff to the front. When I asked her why she took it she just said, I asked "Is this anyone's cart?". I was one aisle away, I would have heard her. I was already running late to work and all of the employees were not helpful at all, especially the manager. Won't be coming here again, not only because of the bad customer service but the place is a mess. read more

It's been a few years since I've been inside this location, but some gravitational force sucked me in. What was going to be a 5-10 minute trip before picking up some items at the Henry's Marketplace next door turned into a 1-hour single-department shopping experience! My newest obsession has been kitchen stuff - mostly utensils and storage, to be specific. So, when I found a set of Oxo "Pop" containers sitting there, it was like finding a diamond in the rough! AAAHHHHH! This set sells for $50 everywhere - even Kohls and Amazon. At TJ Maxx it cost $30! Score! I even used my barcode scanner app on my phone to ensure I was getting the best price. I grabbed the first box I saw & guarded it with my life (there were imaginary shoppers trying to grab this last gold nugget). Then I noticed there were 2 other boxes (one was kinda messed up; the other was in mint condition). That's when I noticed they had Kinetic Go Green containers (very highly rated on Amazon for keeping produce fresher for days long... BTW, those green bags are CRAP). They didn't have the size I wanted, so, sadly, I didn't get any of those. Despite this excellent buy, I opted not to get their rewards card or whatever it is. TJ Maxx is still the (arm)pits and I doubt I'll be coming back any time soon. read more

NOT impressed at all. Bought a pair of sandals here yesterday. Wore them last night for about one hour. Then noticed the beads are already falling off on both shoes. Brought them back this morning less than 24 hours after buying them. The girl at the counter initially refused a refund because they were "used"! Yes - they were. I had to wear them for just ONE HOUR to see how bad the quality was. Sorry TJ Maxx - but last time I checked wasn't it against the law to sell defective merchandise and refuse to refund it? Two stars because she grudgingly gave me store credit in the end. But not before I'd been made to feel like a con artist trying my luck, humiliated at the cash register. Like I wanted to return them? I only got them yesterday! What I wanted was nice shoes that don't fall apart after one hour! She then had the nerve to get pissy with me as I was walking away from the register because I didn't return her suddenly cheery "thank you!" I get TK Maxx is cheap but it's still supposedly designer quality and I expect even a $30 pair of shoes to last longer than one hour! I also expect when an item is clearly defective to be given a straight refund or store credit without question and certainly without being made to feel bad like *I* am the one at fault. TJ Maxx may not be as large or as crammed full of stuff as Ross, but it offers a much better shopping experience. They have cheap prices, the store is relatively well kept (it's not Nordstrom, but it doesn't feel like you're in the third world), and it's fairly well organized. Like many of these places, it has far more stuff for women than men, but even guys can find some good deals on name-brand clothing. read more

Going to TJ Mazz is like going to Vegas - you never know what you are going to find, who you will see, or how much it will cost you. In other words, its like a modern day treasure hunt. The best place to check out is the kitchen section. Not only can you find great knives and cookware for bargain prices, but you can also usually find some older Waterford products for that special occasion for people that are not on your A-list. The biggest surpirse is probably the luggage area - usually a great selection of a wide array of carry-on and larger pieces. Unless you like to spend $500 plus for luggage, this is your new go-to place for that upcoming world adventure you are taking. read more

I go to this location at least once a week. My fave TJ Maxx is the one in Aliso Viejo but this location has a few items here and there. My good review is for the Manager Casey. I tried to make just store card at the store and told them NOT master card. They said OK. But after the procedure, they approved the master card. I reconfirmed again and again DO NOT want master card... Anyhow they told me they can't nothing to do for change the master card to just a store card and I should call the costumer service. They also told me I can call right away. So I called the customer service, but operator told me I have to wait until after 24hours. Then I called them again 3days later. Guess what? One of my favorite TJ Maxx stores. Clean, organized, recently renovated so now the change rooms are nice. I really like all of the associates here, friendly, and quick checkout even though it can be a long line - though not as long as the lines get at the District TJ maxx, this one is definitely quieter. I prefer the layout of this store as well - less overwhelming. :) I find a lot of good deals here. This one has a bit better selection in the kids' clothing section than some of them. My mom went to return a pan that got ugly right when she used it when we went inside with it there like did you even get it here where's the tag like are you sirious this shot came out defective and they didn't give a shit. They made it seem like we were lying and then the manager (i think he was the manager because they were asking him for approval) and some other cashier were just being CHISMOSOS (NOSEY) at through the window and talking shit . And then the cashier that was helping us asked the manager if she should give us store credit and he's like yes whatever it won't make a difference. Like fucking idiot.
