Located along the same strip as the Nordstrom Rack so this location is very convenient. For some reason I think this location is also bigger than any other Maxx around the area. Perhaps this place is still relatively new and employees are not burnt out yet, but things are actually organized and clean here. Not a lot of crowd. Plenty of parking spaces. Plenty of sale items. Plenty of places to go to before or after shopping as this location is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, hotels and a newly opened brewery. Too bad, Orchard will be closing soon. read more

Service - Came here a few months back to buy a dress shirt and at checkout Kathy was too busy doing other stuff while ringing us up. Very unprofessional for customer service. Parking - Large enough parking lot. Venue - Large like most and fairly clean. Prices - Discounted prices for a lot of out of date trends. read more

The woman working in the jewel department is as useless as a snail. She is rude and shouldn't be working with the public. I will never go to this tj maxx again, perhaps never to any of them. With a lot of traffic just trying to get here I actually like this location I have been able to find random shirts that I actually would wear on a daily. Especially I'm the type to lose clothes left and right, at least I can run to here in Long Beach a grab something I can wear. read more

Tj Maxx location at the new LBX has a lot here to choose from. You come shop here plentybof items for men and women and at home. Staff nice and friendly. They was helpful. I can say this is a busy location. Was a lot of people when I was out here. But I had a great time here. Really nice and quite location read more

I purchased several items on-line and went in this store to return 1 item. You would think the managers at this store hate shoppers! I had the most amazing cashier, Cross L, who was trying so hard to be helpful but the manager was rude, walked away while we were trying to find my email receipt, and eventually just refused the return. The following morning I called TJ Maxx and had them resend my receipt which they did in like 2 minutes. When I went back that following day, I specifically went to the register Cross was at since he had been so thoughtful the previous day. This time a different manager was involved to help with the return. First of all, another employee who was there the previous day jumped in to tell the manager that I tried to return those shoes the day before. What the hell does she have to do with this other than try to accuse me of trying to return something I did actually buy. Then the manager this time tried to say that these are actually "men's shoes" and I purchased women's shoes. After looking, she realized they WERE WOMEN'S SHOES! When the manager tried to scan the box which had 2 barcodes on it, she scanned 1 that didn't have the matching number...as both these women (the manager and the nosey cashier who has nothing better to do) are staring me down as if I'm still trying to pull something! I let them know there was another barcode and then low and behold, I'm not a THIEF! And so the nosey cashier goes back to work. I can't thank and praise Cross enough for being so attentive and understanding while his managers were modeling how to treat a customer like crap. I will not be purchasing any TJ Maxx items on-line nor will I shop there, especially this one, for anything. I will travel out of my way to shop somewhere else. My advice is to not shop at this store and especially don't buy on-line as this was the worst experience ever! If your website states that you are open until 7 PM you should let people in the store until 7 PM like any other store does. If you're not going to let people in at 6:30 then you should put that your store closes at 6:30. That makes no sense that you put your store hours until 7 PM, but your line closes at 6:30. I can't even go inside if I wanted to just look without buying anything? Get it together T.J. Maxx! That's really rude to keep turning away people that were trying to go into the store because your website says that you have certain store hours. read more

I love this location easy parking .Good selection of merchandise.Very nice friendly staff .My only complaint is that they need to update their store hours on the website came here twice now & both times they are closed the one time no signs is when they will be opening back up just "temporarily closed " the second time "closed for inventory " now what they should do is let us know when will they be done & date they will be reopened ? Common courtesy & normal customer service you would think they'll let US the customer know on their updated hours . First time at this new store in Long Beach at the new exchange located on Carson & Lakewood. Love the layout of the store easy to maneuver around. The shoe department is also great with various staples and brands they you can find at any department store. I found a fabulous find, Joe's Jean shorts for 29.00 cannot find them any cheaper. I bought a prod I bought a product or an item here at TJ Maxx and the guy wouldn't take it back. He said that the tag was not from his store and I said I just bought it from you guys three days ago. I'm out 29.00 because they can't get their tags straight he said maybe someone brought back and they took it by mistake wth nope never again read more

I like tj maxx as a company because they always have new products for a reduced price but me and my niece went in on Sunday 12/5 and I was instantly followed around the beauty section by and older heavier Hispanic woman asking if I was good , my niece said she followed her to the restroom and when she came out she over heard the same woman telling an older man " nothing better slip into your pockets haha" then I heard her ask another female customer " don't steal" when the woman was just browsing around , I find this to be disgusting when in retail you can't directly ask someone if they're stealing seeing as I worked retail years ago , this woman needs to be fired because the way she made me feel was horrible , I felt uncomfortable and didn't enjoy my visit at all I hate leaving bad reviews but she has to face consequences I'm not one to be a Karen and ask for a manager but my niece even said she felt uncomfortable . No customer should ever be picked at because of their racial backgrounds , despise this rude worker I'll continue to come back but if I ever see or feel uncomfortable again I will have to speak to a manager even though they seem to not care since two other older women gave off the same vibes . What's more important? Hanging up hangers and clearing of the counter or keeping the customers waiting in a line while there is just 2 cashiers when there could have so easily been 3. What is "she will be right with you ma'am" going to do to keep me from waiting? Why not get behind the register and you close out the sale since she is busy collecting revenue for the company? That showed me that those hangers were more important to you. Customers ALWAYS are first. The customer keeps you having a job, the customer is the reason that clothes are being sold so there would be hangers to hang. If people would have turned around because of this wait, that's revenue walking out the door over hangers and a counter being organized. 2 things that could be done AFTER the sale is made but since it's not your store or coming out of your pocket, why care? read more

This is probably one of the nicest TJ Maxx's I've been too. I know it's pretty new, so that's could a big reason for my rating. Everything is clean and, most importantly, organized!!!! I love stores like Ross, Marshall's and TJ Maxx, but I can't help but be turned off because everything just gets disorganized. Here at this TJ Maxx location, everything is hung up or placed nicely. Also there's something about the lighting that helps with the shopping experience. You know what I mean, the warm lighting.. The same reason why Target has a more pleasant shopping experience than at Wal-Mart (in my opinion anyway) Oh yes! I bought a bathing suit. They had plenty to choose from and I went with one. Well priced and name brand too! I'll definitely be shopping here more, along with the Nordstrom Rack that is steps away. read more

Do NOT spend your money here! This is not a store that offers a reasonable modicum of customer service, or even adheres to overall store policy. Case in point: I purchased a pair of boots at another TJMaxx, but didn't like so decided to return them to this store WHILE ON SHOPPING TRIP HERE, PURCHASING OTHER ITEMS. When I got to cashier, she started to check me out, but I told her I had a return too. After looking at boots, they told me that they were too "expensive" for them to return and asked if I wanted to check out! They were okay with taking another $400 but not willing to accept a return for that much! Save yourself! Walk 50 ft down and go to Nordstrom Rack, because this place is AWFUL! read more

So, i dont typically shop at TJMax. I wondered around the store, and found in the clearance isle a small potted cactus that was damaged. Its price was $6.99. So I grabbed it. When cashing out the employee said it was the wrong tag and she couldn't sell it to me. I was confused as it was priced and on the shelf??? She made me feel like she thought i had changed the price. I pointed out its damaged and thats why the price was $6.99. She called a supervisor who didnt recognise the tag or whatever...it was a TJMax tag. I said its damaged, again to the supervisor and Thats why someone priced it that lower price and put it in the clearance isle. The supervisor said no it wasn't right and the best she could do was $12.99. Even though, the TJ Max tag said $6.99. Frankly this had me even more confused. I didnt purchase it, and clearly this was not the way to handle this situation. I wont go back. K read more

A nice new addition to the Long Beach Exchange shopping center. Located next to Ulta, it's a decent sized store with a good selection of brands. We ended up purchasing a couple of men's shirts, but not too much of a pants selection right now. Looked like they had a lot of trendy clothes for ladies though. Employees were friendly, and it wasn't too crowded considering it just opened. I'm sure I'll be back here again, probably to check out purses and clothes for myself next time! read more
