I lived right by this area for a while and I would go to this TJ MAX often. Overall they have good merchandise and the same great deals that the chain offers everywhere. They even had a huge free people collection a few years ago! However it is a little hectic and I feel they need more security. One time I was there waiting to pay in the checkout line and a fight broke out. I can't make this up LMAOOO merchandise flying everywhere and even shelves falling over. I posted a picture of the event with this review. Also no one stopped this altercation it went on for a full 5 minutes and I was beginning to wonder if things would escalate. Another time when I was walking in a group of young people where running out with loads of stolen merchandise. In general feels like safety at this location is not a top priority so I have really stopped going because of this. They should invest in more security if they want customers to feel safe. read more

A good selection of clothweir customer service is poor. I was in the store Friday, and there was ten people in line waiting to check out and one cashier. Today, Saturday, I was in the store at 1 pm, had about 8 things in my cart totalling about $120, but when I got to the checkout line, there were 19 people waiting to check out and only two cashiers. Three apparent employees and one manager were standing near the entrance talking about how many people were online, and none of them went to help cashier! I love this Tj's location. It's always clean, well staffed and has everything I'm looking for! They could use improvement on the selection of men's shoes but they have literally everything else from homewares and goods to kids, pets, jewelry, etc. I always leave spending way more money than intended. read more

Meh. This store has the basics but I've frequented other locations in the chain with bigger selections. For instance, I walked in to buy men's dress shirts. I'm accustomed to seeing shelves and shelves of packaged shirts. Not here. I was limited to about a dozen hanging shirts in my size. The dressing rooms were near the restrooms by the front door, not more centrally located between the women's, children's, and men's sections. The lines are the worst part of any tjmaxx! I'm sorry but during the holidays you need every register open. There's no excuse for it! You pull everyone off the floor if the line I wrapping around the entire store! It's not that hard! Besides that, I'm very unhappy with the pillows I purchased here! BEWARE THEY SELL FAKE DESIGNER CLOTHING. They're selling "designer" clothing but if you look at the care tag the item is actually from Walmart or GAP. People are switching the tags and returning them. I have a designer piece to the manager and let him know and I watched him put it right back on the floor with out changing the tag. So a Gap dress was marked $60 bc someone put a cinq a sept tag on it. I found a "Jason Wu" tank with a Walmart tag. They have it all marked up as "designer" but it's fake. This Tj Maxx is good. It's clean, tidy, has a bathroom customers can use, and a pretty decent home and furniture section. Staff is reasonable nice and helpful. The place is organized well overall as well. One minor hit for me is that the men's section is WEAK. I'm talking literally 6 different ties to choose from, barely any nice dress shirts or socks, and virtually no men's accessories. I like how long they last & I like the wood crackling fireplace-like sound that they make. I also love getting household items here like cups, pots, pans, or house decor. I got a cheese board here, cutting boards, oil holder, cake holder, quesadilla pan, glass cups and spatulas here. You'll definitely save money buying things like towels & gym clothes here too if you compare prices with other stores that carry similar products (Bed Bath & Beyond, athletic stores, etc.). The 3 star is for the bathroom, nasty and gross! Other than that, the store is huge and lots of goodies at a really decent price. They carry the same store brands as Nordstrom, but you have to look hard. Kids grow fast, I don't see the point in buying retail items a full price when they will just grow out of it in 2-6 months. The associates I ran into were courteous and check out was fast as they have many more shining objects to look! I was in there for a yoga mat. They have a nice selection in varying prices and styles as well. They also have a foam roller I'll be back for the next time I am there! I got this old dusty lady Rose, which was rude off the bat, and I had a couple returns lady obviously didn't know how to do a proper return and even tho my items were on there she sat there and denied that one of my items was returnable, and I new it was on there for sure. TJ Maxx credit card offers you $10.00 off your next purchase when you spend a "measly" $200.00. This line is horrendous and slow. It makes me want to put my cart away and just leave. I don't like the service, and it seems like the lines are everyone's concern as well. TJ MAXX beats Ross. As a kid, I hated Ross and still do and will side with the Maxx man for good. This one specifically is going through some renovations, but the store still manages to remain clean and well-stocked. Coming in not being greeted is not my main concerns but not saying thank you after I purchased something shows me they don't appreciate their customers coming here. I understand that every employee is not the same and that everyone has their bad days. This example, however, was done by a manager.
