Yessss, absolutely, I recommend this store. Wow... I had absolutely no idea what this place was when I walked through the door. This place is an odd and fascinating combination of products. Furniture, fine soaps, food, drinks, candy and alcohol from all over the world. The liquor and wine selection is astounding. It's even broken down by which country it's from. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is extremely pleasant and the store is immaculate. I wasn't even looking for anything and ended up leaving with a few items I didn't even know existed like Cadbury milk chocolate spread. It's sooo yummy. I joined the loyalty program as I'm sure to be back and a very nice employee named Catherine encouraged me to join. Ten and fifteen percent off purchases is a very nice discount. Heads up: bring a bag, if you are into that thing bc the shopping carts do NOT leave the store . . . You know, when you buy 6 bottles of wine or coffee syrup and think you can just roll them to the car. . . Nope! Then the only bag they had for the bottles could have fit a camel, strength for 6 bottles a bit questionable. So I now have part of a tree in my car that I get to go home and recycle bc I didn't go in with my bags thinking I could roll the cart to the car. read more

I was in line to pay with no one behind me and the person in front of me was paying. There were two customer at the two other open registers. As soon as the person in front of me finished paying, the cashier lady looked at me and said she was going on her break and I would have to wait for the other cashier to help me. It was 11:48 am. I had only one item in my hand and she refused to help me. Maybe it is because I am an Asian but if the company continues hiring workers like her, I should remind you of Pier 1 fate. And the only reason that I gave you a one star is because the young man at the register was very friendly and had a great customer service skills. read more

For a World Market this is probably the best one, anywhere. It's the largest store in the country. (It has a basement where furniture is stored, their warehouse) It also has its own designated alcohol section, which is special and most stores don't sell alcohol at all, let alone have their own section for it. Over the years I've come to like World Market more. They have affordable and nifty houseware, furniture that is chic and affordable, and of course some specialty imported foods from other countries that I don't know where else I could find in a store, like hagelslag. read more

This World Market is one of my favorite stores in Denver. Their selection of imported food and snacks is amazing!! All of the treats from back home in the UK can be found here, I love it!! Cadbury chocolate, Bisto gravy, custard, Heinz soup and baked beans, I'm like a kid in a candy shop when I come here. Their furniture selection is also outstanding, some of the kitchen tables and chairs in here are built with amazing quality, and their prices are extremely reasonable. I'm also really impressed by the level of service here, all staff members are super kind and helpful. The 20% off discount is NOT worth the brain damage of going to the store and dealing with the beyond awful experience in store. Employees are clearly unsure about their jobs and are very poorly trained in customer experience, including the few that appear to think they are managing. I have wasted SO much time dealing with them in person and have gotten to the point that I will only order in person. It's also not just this location, the store out West is also incompetent. Insane that they stay in business. The saving grace for this company is that they sell items people can afford and are of quality, otherwise this company would be gone. read more

We were looking for Torani syrups, and a Google search told us that World Market had a good price on them--better than the Torani site and still a good selection of flavors. If you join the loyalty program you get a promo code for your first order so we did. And as it turns out, they have pretty pillows at a great price. Their everyday pillows are inexpensive and come in pretty velvet colors. We'd been shopping for pillows but would not have thought this place would be less expensive than Target. So yes, we picked up pillows and syrups. Oh--and chocolate, potato chips, and cornichons. Because those were on sale and they had interesting/hard-to-find brands/flavors. Who said that online shopping kills the impulse buys and add-on items? Order online, pick up in store worked well. At first, staff who answered the phone asked us to come inside, but we were transferred to someone who was able to bring our order out to the curbside pickup spot after just a short wait. They put the syrups, chips, chocolate and pickles in a wine box, which was great. It was easier to transport and saved a plastic bag or two. read more

I like the new location because there is more room in the store but the parking lot is a lot smaller, so a harder to get a space. Other than that, it's one of my favorite stores. I went to get international food that I can't find elsewhere. I also got some great candles like English Gardenia and Asian Poppy--fills the house with great scents. Since it's Wednesday, I purchased coffee, which they have a great selection and if you belong to their explorer rewards program, if you buy one coffee it counts for two and after the sixth coffee purchase you get one 12oz bag for free!! I have been to this COST PLUS WORLD MARKET, back in the day when its at Cherry Creek area. NOW its in Glendale area, after our Brunch we head down to this Cost Plus World Market. Another note, this Cost Plus World Market is in the Skyline Plaza strip shopping mall. As usual, I don't fancy the parking area of this Cost Plus World Market coz I prefer when they are situated at Cherry Creek itself. *SIGH* This recent visit was on Sunday December 28th 2014. Time was about 13:30hrs ish. I managed to find some stuffs that I have been looking for. The ones I purchased that afternoon, the items are made in Singapore, UK and Italy. SCORE!! From the conversation I had with one of the staffs, he said this Location is the BIGGEST in Colorado Soil. Hmm.. I wonder... Some items I found, was slightly more expensive than I want to spend on. After 10 min of no answer I went in. Two other people had also given up and were in line. Finally someone came to get our ordered items. This is the biggest store in Colorado and it certainly shows. The Entrance and Exit to the parking lot aren't very forgiving if you miss it your gonna have to turn around and go back. Not a big deal, maybe I am just a bad driver. Once inside it's very easy to see the difference in this location. It's more well stocked, there are more to assist you, more registers and more of everything. I found things I had no seen at another location I visit regularly. The staff was really helpful in helping me find things I needed for an afternoon cocktail party I was having the next day. I found some great 7.5 oz Martini glasses that were really reasonable. They have an outstanding selection stem and bar ware. Glasses of all shapes and sizes. I was also happy they had a full stock of my favorite Truffle Salt. Both locations I had visited and called earlier in the day were both out. I decided to stock up and buy 2 since it also works for a great unique hostess gift. I think I will be making the trip to this location from now on as they seem to have a much bigger selection of things. Cumulative review encompassing 2 visits here, 6 weeks apart -- the more I come here, the more I discover, and the more I'm delighted. My 1st visit I discovered the land of Torani coffee flavorings -- it *is* a LAND here and not just dainty small overpriced bottles or only a few flavors -- especially if you are looking for sugar-free because you'd rather not get a full days worth of carbs in your coffee flavoring? :p :p :p This is your nirvana. 2nd visit, I discovered they had a liquor area!! I decided to peruse and found they *do* allow you to make your own 6-packs here; about $2 a bottle/can (a few exceptions), and they carry beers that most other stores don't carry or that I'd ever even heard of before (Tiger from Thailand stands in my memory, although it did not make my cut...). With my Untappd app, I was able to determine the odds I'd probably like a beer; left with a 6-pack and 2 22oz bottles. I love the selection and the variety here, both food and beverages. Not such a big fan of items I've seen in King Soopers and other more common stores marked up 50%, or higher, from those other places. If you want to jack a consumer because you carry something *no other store* does, then you can arguably get away with it -- but not something other places carry. I did splurge and get a 5oz marzipan bar covered in dark chocolate; instantly took me back to the holidays when I nibbled it over a 3-day span. I also love the wall hangings and neat items you can find for home decor here. I'm not a huge home decor person, but this place makes me want to invest some time in it. I'm also a member of their "club", although it seems like you have to rack up a lot of purchase to get any reward. So...a well-earned 4 stars. You could do better. You could *be* better. The products are great - the staff, not so much. I ordered something online for curbside pick up that said it would be available on 9/17. I didn't receive any texts/emails so I called the store on 9/17 around 6pm. They said that it wasn't in their inventory and that it would arrive mid-October. So, if they knew why wouldn't they inform me of the delay? I would have cancelled/taken care of it sooner, instead of waiting for days. I really would have appreciate a call, text or email about the mixup of the order. If I had known it was delayed I would have just ordered delivery and would have already received it. read more

This is the place to go to for buying unexpected gifts. Their wine selection always adds the special touch; I just recently I made a mini gift basket complete with their mini wine bottles, mini jam jars, mini cheeses, and mini sausages; all thanks to Cost Plus World Market! I just love this place. They have fun, vibrant products from all over the world, and their food section is separated by an aisle or two for several countries. This past Christmas, they even had a variety of "World Tastes Gift Boxes", that boasted a gourmet selection of authentic cuisine and featured all of the traditional cuisines of a few countries individually, along with a history on the specific country. Those ran out quickly. I really wanted to leave 4 stars, but it wasn't quite there. I had my favorite wine for the first time in years a few days ago and decided it was time to hunt it down in Colorado. I discovered Cost Plus is one of the few stores to carry it, and I gave them a call to confirm it was in stock. The person I spoke with was very helpful and answered my questions about quantity and price, plus he told me they were having a sale over Labor Day -- sold! To be sure, I called the other places that carry the wine, and Cost Plus matched them on price but was even better thanks to the sale. I went over, bought my beloved, and got into my car to learn I was overcharged on each bottle before the sale price. Hmmm..... The price I was told over the phone matched the sign in front of the bottle (I had the photo; thank god for yelping!) so I knew it was a computer error. I ran back in and had the price corrected, however, I know I would have been angry if I didn't catch it until I got home. I normally notice things like this immediately, but the cashier and I were deep in convo, haha. There are worse things! I didn't browse around much beyond foreign groceries before going to the wine & beer section, and that is what many reviews express discontent. CPWM will be my go-to once I run out of the wine, but I don't think I'll be back for much else. read more

Charlie at this location is the ideal employee and World Market is lucky to have him. I went from frustrated to satisfied and then some thanks to his calm, compassionate, efficient and effective way of handling our situation. My partner and I were looking for a couch that was listed on the online store but when we went to purchase it there was an issue with it not being available and would not be for another month. Dylan at the boulder location helped me figure out what was happening but there was nothing that he could do. He was kind enough to call over and explain the situation to the Glendale store and let me know if anyone could help it might be the Glendale location but he was not sure that there was anything that could be done. Before Charlie even knew it was me calling about the couch situation he was enthusiastic and eager to help. I mentioned the couch and he knew exactly what was happening and laid out a plan of how to move forward. He was going to help us by selling the floor model which was the only model of that color in CO. He also explained that if he was off at 7 and would explain everything to the store manager so we would be taken care of just the same even if he was not there. We arrived a little before 7 and Charlie showed us the couch, was awesomely nice, and helped get us set up and loaded into the car even though it was past his shift time. I can't say enough about how exemplary and beyond my expectations the help we received was. Throughout the process Charlie was humble and when I asked how I could thank him or let someone know he was great he told me I needed to do no such thing. That being said I hope the Corporate Management of World Market recognize the special and amazing employee they have. He turned my partner and I from dissatisfied and frustrated customers into loyal and appreciative ones for years to come. Thanks again for all the great help! read more

Here's why you don't run your errands while sick: I came in this afternoon with two pairs of earrings I had received as gifts that I knew I wouldn't wear. They had the bar codes ripped off the back slightly, so they had to find comparable pairs. Now those who aren't even good at math should be able to figure this out.. one pair was $12.99 and even though you could still see there was a 1 next to the dollar sign on the other pair, the manager decided a $7.99 pair would suffice.. when they went to give me a gift card it totaled $11 and change (less than the first pair alone!!). I could tell that the young girl on register 10 was not comfortable with calling the manager over so many times so I let it be and paid $5 and change for my two items of $4.99 and one of $5.99. These people don't even have anything to lose, this is not a local store, but an over priced CHAIN!!! Be careful and always check your receipts. read more

The product and staff here are great. I found a headboard originally listed at $299 that I ended up buying on sale for $68 (taxes included). I have a small sedan and Doug offered to deliver it after his shift at work for FREE using his personal truck. I offered to pay but Doug insisted he didn't need any sort of compensation. I know this isn't something to expect every time I shop at World Market, but this is the perfect example of how friendly and willing to go above and beyond the staff here is. Thanks Cost Plus for the great deal on the headboard and thanks Doug for your hard work! I'll keep coming back! Update: I bought the chevron cabinet a few months back that had a drill hole in the wrong spot and I called the store and Ron, the GM, Steve, and Doug showed up a few hours later and delivered a brand new, fully built cabinet! They have moved to a new location. I think it's a bit easier to get to and the store seems much larger. They have a liquor store at this location. I can't remember if the old location did or not so I don't know if it's new. My only complaint is that even though the store is larger they put the isle for food so close together - only on cart wide. They have an awesome selection of coffee syrups with Brown Sugar Cinnamon being my favorite. Makes your coffee/beverage taste just like French Toast. This is my must-go place for English Candy/Food. They carry Foxes Glacier Mint, Salad Cream, Branston Pickle, Hob Nobs, Fingers and many more things. If you are looking for unusual chocolate bars try here - beef jerky, bacon, and edamame. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products. If you have an explorers card they will send you periodic coupons for 10 to 25% off your total purchase (does not include alcohol). read more

Oh woah is me, i know in theory the location is better and bigger, but all in all, nuh uh. The location is definitely better than the one by the mall, lighting is better, they have a cool insta-wine cooling machine, the furniature section looks bigger etc... But... the parking is obscene, about a 1/4 as what was available in the other location and tight corners... To get to this location you either have to drive thru the mall area or down colorado. ugh. In theory you can simply cross colorado and sneak in thru the back, but really... I found a couple items to nab on the wya out, but the line was 8 people long, really not worth my time, so i did a bad thing and simply left my cart and selections by the door and walked out. Once Trader Joes is built and i can get rare, interesting and usually pretty cheap booze, and yummy foods, no need to ever think of this place again. I'll miss my trips to the location by the mall, but i think it's time we broke up - really it's me, not you... nope wait, it's you. read more

extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Glendale World Market. Purchased a couch in store on Sept 4. was assured it was in the storage room on site. Scheduled a delivery with a (World Market recommended) delivery company. Delivery never arrived. I called a different company to reschedule delivery for the following day. When it was delivered it was the wrong couch. Sent it back and waited to hear details about receiving my correct purchase. Didn't hear from anyone, so after a week I called to get an update, was told my couch would now be delivered Sept 19th. Andrew (manager) was apologetic and since I had technically already paid $100 for the delivery of the wrong couch Andrew admitted it was World Market's mistake and set up a new delivery for the correct item (Thank you, Andrew!). However, this second delivery never arrived, again I heard nothing from World Market. I called trying to figure out the problem and was told the THIRD delivery date would now be Sept 21. For the THIRD time I took time off work to receive the delivery and for the THIRD time no delivery arrived. While Andrew has been apologetic and tried his best to help the situation, this whole experience has been quite frustrating. If you actually enjoy receiving furniture you paid for I'd recommend you buy elsewhere. read more

I know it's really just your typical Cost Plus where they'll have fun wines, different beers, and everything else under the sun, but I think their customer service is fantastic! I came in here looking for something random for work (seashell-shaped Belgian chocolates) and guys from the furniture & wine departments ended up helping me even though the item wasn't in their department. Since I needed quite a chunk and they didn't have more than a few in the store, they were looking up shipment orders, ETAs, etc., just so I could maybe find the amount I needed and connected me with some corporate peeps who could investigate further. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go through with my order because they couldn't guarantee the delivery would be on time, but I was super impressed with the help I received in the store! read more

A much bigger world market than I'm used to! Everything is so spaced out... Maybe I'm used to the "smaller" world markets that have a cozy, rustic feel. I was trying to hunt for an employee to help me find an item, but I noticed that most of them wander around without acknowledging their customers... Or perhaps... Trying to AVOID interaction with customers. I never saw an employee acknowledge their customer (or myself) when I was there, ehh. No "Hello!"s or "Are you finding everything alright?" to anyone. There was an employee who seemed to get the hint that I wanted assistance, and she made a short cut around some furniture to avoid me-- Poof! She went into the back. Ehhhh.... I like Cost Plus World Market. A lot. However, since they moved from Cherry Creek Mall a year ago, I hadn't visited. I wasn't exactly sure where it was off of Colorado, and frankly I didn't have any needs. In fact, I didn't really have any needs yesterday. I just happened to finally see where it was located I went to Staples. The new store is really nice. I like the lay out better and the lighting is much more inviting. However, it seems they have less of their British imports than they used to. However after talking to the clerk at checkout, I found out that's the case with all Cost Plus stores. And, while this location is allegedly bigger, the parking is atrocious. It's bad enough if you are just getting a few things, but good luck loading a larger item into your car. I'm glad I now know where Cost Plus relocated to. However, it's not very convenient for me. Unless I need something, I can see it being another year or so before I return. read more

They hire lots of holiday staff way early so the line goes fast which is appreciated. They had someone at the line hanging out ginger cookies to all the guests. Then that annoying moment happened- I lost my card and only had a little cash so I had to cut a few items. I kept saying I'm so sorry, I know how busy you guys are i dont mean to slow the line! And the cashier, John, said no worries at all--they can wait. He heped me sign up for an account right then and there to save 10 bucks and then cut the items quickly but not as if I were rushed or annoying him. Went above and beyond to ensure I had the best situation I could have had with my roadblocks. Seriously the nicest cashier ever. Thanks John! read more

Not for me. The new location is much bigger and nicer on the inside, but that's where the good ends. Parking is atrocious! Getting in and out of the lot is like a live action game of frogger. Once inside it was nice to be a bit less cramped, though when we went to check out the one cashier on duty with 20 people in line caused us to be those people who just leave a cart of things in the aisle. Sorry not waiting in line for a few tasty bits of bueno and other snacks. Guess we'll wait for Trader Joe's read more
