After looking for KIDDE auto fire extinguishers - for my car emergency preparedness kit, for forthcoming mountain adventures - at both Home Depot (only available online) and Amazon (doesn't carry this type), I caved & came here, just for this, given my friend found them here, on their app, in Parker. I found a gentleman to help me navigate this huge, overwhelming store, and while en route to this section, I also learned they carry air filters for the home, too! What don't they carry?! Once in the fire section, I bought a few other items. Better to be prepared, than reliant on other people to save you. 10:39pm | 0-star Review: Returned tonight, after buying the KIDDE 2-Liter auto / marine fire extinguisher, a Fire Gone suppressant - for my garage, and a First Alert EZ Fire Spray - for grease fires in my kitchen, whilst not remembering which spray can I already had at home, thinking it'd be easy to return one & swap it back out at Walmart, given the nice gentleman at the entrance (see above) told me they closed at 11pm, allegedly. When I got home, I realized I already had the First Alert EZ Fire Spray, so I returned to Walmart - for a simple exchange. However, upon returning at 10:39pm, before entering, I politely, courteously, and respectfully confirmed with the extremely rude and disrespectful female "manager" the return process, and if I needed a sticker (like I do in the Arlington, VA Costco [some Costcos in CO process returns differently, not requiring stickers, like in NoVA/DC]), or if I needed to show her my receipt. I don't normally shop at Walmart, given how they treat their workers - and now their customers! - so I was attempting to learn the rules, so I could follow them. Instead of answering my questions - with mutual respect - this woman disrespectfully and rudely interrupted me, telling me they were already closed. What?! I clarified, "then did the polite gentleman inside mislead me when he told me you close at 11pm?" Instead of being a normal, polite, respectful "manager," she cut me off, telling me customer service closed at 8pm. I've never heard of a store having different retail hours vs. customer service hours. Would've been good to know, and for the man to tell me earlier, at 9:39pm! While this interaction was happening, there was a man at the door, listening to our dialogue, and instead of doing his job (whatever that was, exactly), he proceeded to *LAUGH AT ME, STRAIGHT DISRESPECTING ME, TO MY FACE*! Being the Colorado native, and now East Coast, bi-coastal, liberal elite feminist that I am, rolling in hot whilst listening to Wu-Tang Clan, straight out of NYC, where I worked on Wall Street - with women, after 10+ years in NoVA/DC, and living in Chicago, including visiting the South Side at night, whilst riding the el, and having *NEVER* been treated like this there, I obviously wasn't going to tolerate, or allow, this woman & misogynistic man to treat me like this. When I checked him, and told him - to his face, making direct eye contact - that he was rude, disrespectful, and misogynistic for laughing at me, while I asked normal, polite, direct, basic questions, the woman "manager" escalated dramatically & superfluously, threatening to "call the police," and refusing to allow me into the store to shop. I said, "sure, let's talk to the police," hoping they were normal. Luckily, they were, especially when I explained my dad was former law enforcement, died of COVID, which is the only reason I returned to CO. I should also mention that while I expected on-site security to call the police, apparently Aurora Police are contracted here, working over-time on-site. Luckily, a very polite Aurora Police Officer listened to me - respectfully & politely - hearing this absurd story, then gave me his business card and the name of the General Manager, and recommended I contact the GM tomorrow, which I will do. Annoyingly, I now need to *ADD* to my to-do list, vs. cross items off, return tomorrow to do a very simple exchange, and speak to the GM - in-person - given this woman clearly has no idea how to do her very basic job. For starters, she should learn how to manage her misogynistic male employees. read more

What should have been a 5 minute trip that I've took me 45 minutes at this location before I got so fed up I just left without making my purchase. I came to this Walmart to grab a stick of deodorant, something that should be an easy in-and-out purchase. However, I was met with a locked glass cabinet hiding all of the deodorant. On the cabinet was a touchscreen to request an employee to come unlock the cabinet, already something ridiculous for a $5-10 item. Then I wait... and I wait... until I request again. Then I wait... and wait... until 15 minutes has passed and I start walking around to find an employee. I finally do and I ask her to please unlock the cabinet politely and she looks at me like it's her first time interacting with someone on earth. Turns out she didn't speak any English at all, neither do her coworkers. It took FOUR employees at this location and 45 minutes of my time to finally find someone who spoke English. I genuinely can't believe how many items are locked behind a glass cabinet at this location, it wasn't just the personal hygiene section. And not only that, it's then nearly impossible to find someone who can help you make a purchase. What a joke. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the Walmart on Hampden involving customer service. My mom called ahead to try to place a pickup order for a work event and was told she would be transferred to the deli. She explained that the deli typically doesn't answer, but the associate insisted, raised her voice, and said "THEY WILL ANSWER," then left her on hold for about 20 minutes with no response. After waiting with no help, we went into the store and asked to speak with the same associate (Ellie) at customer service. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, her attitude was dismissive from the start. When my mom explained the situation and the long wait time, the response we received was simply "and?" which felt very unprofessional and unhelpful. The interaction escalated, and while emotions did get involved on both sides, the situation could have been completely avoided if there had been basic accountability and a willingness to assist. Customer service should be about helping resolve problems, not dismissing them. I understand policies are in place, but tone, communication, and professionalism matter just as much. I hope this location works on improving how situations like this are handled in the future. read more

Not only did they have to wait for someone to open the shelf, they had to put it in the security box for me to take to the register and then get that box unlocked for me to take it. Run! Don't walk away from this dumpster fire company! They sold me crap tires that didn't even last 10k miles (35000 warranty) then told me if I ordered them again online they would honor the warranty and reimburse me. Well, they didn't, and the new tires haven't even last a year and are already bald. Picked up a screw and took them in to Discount Tire (a company that stands by their products) and they're too worn down to plug (see pic) after a few months! Crap products, crap company. This was a decent Walmart. Stopped in on a just to Denver looking for toiletries and hair products. Unfortunately they didn't have the black hair care products I was looking for although they did have other products from the same line. And I intentionally decided to wait until we arrived so I didn't have to travel with them. Mistake on my part. We also needed electronic cables and those were fully stocked but it took awhile to get someone to get them out of the locked cabinet for us since there was just one person working in the Electronics department. She was very friendly though, and once we got what we needed we were able to check out quickly. read more

I went to full checkout not to have a problem with self checkout and then being hassled to see my receipt and all that. Have paper bags and charge for them if you don't have your own bags. If other customers complain about things locked up than don't try to steal from them. All stores doing that because of stealing. The pharmacy is fast, friendly too. This day I was getting a vaccine and they took my insurance too. Not like Walgreens the moron could not figure out my insurance. This review is for curbside pickup. You can easily go into the store and get what you need much faster than using curbside pickup at this location. I used the Walmart app which I've used in other locations with great success. The Walmart app is great. You can let them know you're on your way by checking in on the app so they're ready for you and it pings when you arrive. Very impressive...that is, if they implemented it here. I arrived, nothing happened. I called the number on the pickup sign. It went straight to voicemail. There was a Walmart guy right next to our car. I had to get out of the car and ask him if about my order. He literally just stared at me. I had to ask him again if it was OK to talk to him. Turned out he was on the phone possibly listening to music because he wasn't talking. He finally checked and said, "Yes, your order is ready, I'll go get it." But he didn't. Instead, he went to another car and had a five-minute conversation with someone else who did not have an order. I literally begged him to please get my order because I had my 91-year-old dad in the car. He could care less. Shameful. Do not bother with curbside pickup at this location. Waste of time and fraught with incompetence. Really sad. I rarely give 1-star reviews. The one star is for my order being correct. read more

I really like this walmart. The layout makes things easy to find and they always have what I need. They have a great ethnic foods section and there are always discounted bakery items available During this COVID-19 crisis they are taking great care to maintain a sanitary environment. All employees are wearing gloves and cleaning diligently. The restrooms are also cleaned very thoroughly and often. I definitely feel safe shopping here read more

If it was possible to go below one star, I would! This was a crappy Walmart start to finish. I had over two hundred dollars worth of cleaning supplies, towels, etc. to help upgrade my kids' apartment. At check out, I asked for some bags! The lady rudely told me, "This is Walmart! We have no bags!" I was like, "How will I get this to the car and an apartment?" Her reply, "not my problem. We have bags for $0.75/ each." I said that in not paying for bags. My complaint is about the drivers. I have had numerous issues with getting my groceries or items being stolen. The biggest one is I ordered a bunch of meat for 4 th of July and I got everything other thing except my meat. I truly believe the driver stole all of my meat but the store says, they just forgot it at the store. Then yesterday I ordered and got a cold rotisserie chicken and upon opening the bag a piece was pinched off my chicken and I of course had to throw the entire bag away. Then my tartar sauce was delivered without the protective sticker on the top. Which means it had been open too. I always choose to sign for my order but the last two times I have ordered, my food was left outside of my door with no picture or anything and it's obvious they are signing for the customer and just leaving. Maybe because they are stealing and eating peoples food! From here on out I will no longer order food from Walmart. read more

When I went to pick up the cake there was no one there. I asked a guy working near the meat area and he said there was no one in the baking area. I found a manger and they told him to go grab the cake. The cake was supposed to say "what whale it be?" But it said "what what it be". I just got an oil change here 2 weeks ago. My car started running sluggish, and there was pooling on my garage floor. I wasn't sure what it was. I decided to check the oil. It is filled far, far beyond the maximum capacity line. I checked 5x because I couldn't believe how far it measured in the stick. That is absolutely horrible for the engine. I am not sure if it was incompetence or intentional. I am sure will never use Walmart to service my car again. I caution anyone who does. read more

Where do I even start? The automotive center is a dam joke. 12 o'clock appointment. What's the point? They didn't get my vehicle back for 2 hours. 1 mile down the road and the tire pressure light comes on. They couldn't even set the tire pressure correctly. After several conversations with them, all I asked for was for them to have an open line of communication and they still failed at it. As always, this location on Hampden Ave is a pure disappointment. Long lines, poor customer service, dirty, loud employees, a lot of empty spots on the shelves, especially in dairy. Now, they closed most of the self-checkouts that they were installing for a whole year, and customers are NOT ALLOWED to use them! A very rude customer service manager and one of so called 'customer service' employee were working on 3/12/24. After I waited in line, they cancelled me in the middle of scanning and told me to go to the cashier! They basically yelled at me because I wanted to self-checkout to make sure all the prices are scanned correctly, they said I had 'too many" items. At least 5 employees were standing around registers and just talking. read more

2-3 years ago I was so impressed with this Walmart that I drove out of my way to shop here. This Walmart has recently changed their layout. It's confusing for those of us who commonly shop here. I asked 3 different Associates if they could direct me to the 'Vicks' vapor rub. They all said "no", which I thought was unacceptable. If they didn't know, they could have used their handheld (like they did in the past) to find it, or they could ask another co-worker. Another Shopper, who heard me ask them said " You can not rely on them, they won't help you!" When I got to my line, I asked to speak to a Manager, second to the Store Manger (who doesn't work on weekends), this Manager met with me with an unpleasant demeanor from the onset. She was not open and willing to help. Her disposition (maybe because I am black, I'm not sure) was immediately hostile. When I said to her, no one offered to go beyond " I don't know" to help me find the Vicks, she rudely stated "Well did you get a name?" I said, just like I don't see your name tag, I didn't see theirs." She had purple miniature buckets tucked under her arm concealing her name badge. (LOOK at the camera 10/22 between (9:30 am and 10:10 am),. She untucked her name badge and said " I'm wearing mine!" I may have touched her name badge (NOT HER PERSON!") Body and said, maybe the employee had it concealed just like you. Her response was so aggressive that it caught me off guard and I asked to speak to another Manager. Prior to that Manager conversing with me, she listened to the hostile Manager and met me with hostility and disdain. I told her all I wanted was Vicks then she Ellie was so curt and rude that I took her picture, she told me to leave. I did not use profanity, I was not disrespectful, I did not threaten them with harm, nor did I physically touch their person, I was so confused as to why asking for VICKS led me to here. A police Officer D. Dunson, said it doesn't matter what my civil rights are to shop there, if Walmart asks me to leave, right wrong or indifferent, I must leave. He said "file a civil claim" I am only here to do what they tell me. There is no justice in that. I can only guess that the Aurora Police Dept. is being paid by Walmart to do exactly what they instruct . So he did. It's inexcusable Mofia mentality! At the end of the day, I was kicked out of Walmart for asking for service without threatening anyone, or using profanity. Walmart on Hampden is disgusting. I invited the Walmart team, Ellie the Leader and Officer Dunson to pull up the cameras and tell me where I imposed any kind of threat, they said, " we won't". No says my delivery was attempted then not complete, so I go to the store and they say my driver "stole" my groceries so I try to get a refund. Can't get a refund, so we order another delivery. This location is average as a Walmart will get. A pretty decent selection, with their positives and opportunities. This review however, is for the Mexican lady that was working the front entrance by the Charlie's restaurant. I went into Charlie's 10 minutes before they closed while she was waiting for her food to be ready. She was funny and had great small talk with her. Once her order was called, I noticed she walked back to the front entrance. She stood there for a while and saw approached a man that was walking into Walmart. She proceeded to greet him and give him the food she had just ordered for herself. Those acts of kindness are not as commonly observed, especially when they're done of free will. WORST Walmart I've shopped at. The shelves are always bare. They rarely have anything stocked. The ironic thing is I always see workers stocking the shelves (atleast that's what I thought). They are lucky they are the only place in the area that carries my dogs type of food or I would not shop here. I had bought cheese here that was loaded with mold, I have gone to get 10 things and they only had two of the ten, I have rung up things that are falsely advertised as sale items, I have had to change my cats food and litter three times because they never have the same kind stocked, and I've gotten milk that was expired but was in the Best Buy date. Witnessed who I learned was a Team Lead by the name of Sarah completely degrade and scream into a young man's face to the point he had to step back because it looked like she was getting spit on him from yelling. I was in the checkout line and noticed him approach her and ask about refilling those 5 gallon blue jugs to which she told him to just buy a new one which defeats the entire purpose of them. When he told her he tried to fill it up but there were no lids she said "What are you not grasping?" I watched this man remain calm and ask "is this how you treat customers and you're a manager?" To which she replies "I don't have time for entitled customers like you" and proceeds to quite literally scream in his face and try to have him escorted out of the store. She even told the security officer "if he doesn't leave I'm gonna leave" and holds her keys out like she was gonna drop them on the floor. The security officer and other employees literally apologized to him and said "she's just like that". I am completely baffled and this didn't even happen to me. Luckily he was allowed to continue shopping but the so called "team lead" literally STORMED OUT the store leaving all the customers and cashiers dumb founded. The whole experience made me extremely uncomfortable to shop here and I will be writing a letter to the president of Walmart Doug McMillan because no one deserves to be treated like that over a simple question. I stopped in to use the restroom and grab some milk. The restroom was WRECKED! Now everyone has seen a bad public restroom but this one was bad enough people were standing around to discuss how bad it was. So I snapped a couple shots on my way out and flagged down the front end manager, Janet. "We need to talk about your bathroom situation." I said, showing her the first picture of the trashcan filled with used paper towels piled so high you couldn't reach up for a fresh one without touching a soiled one. "Yeah. Our guy is on his break." I tapped on the screen for emphasis. "How LONG is his break?" She shrugged her shoulders. "What can I say? People are dirty." So I showed her the picture of the floor in the bathroom entrance. "You see that? That is human excrement someone has stepped in." I thought this would merit some concern. "People are REALLY dirty." She then just kind of glared at me as if to say 'Yeah. We're done here.' So I asked for the district manager's number and walked away. Needless to say, I never got my milk. Quite possibly the worst Walmart experience ever. First of all, it's a bitch to get to. You have to drive a veritable maze just to get to the parking lot. Second, it is packed to the gills with the 'bad' kind of Walmart patron - and don't pretend for a second that you are above knowing what I'm talking about! This Walmart was actually a lot cleaner and bigger than most locations. They have a huge parking lot, but with minimal spaces. There are friendly people in the door ready to greet you in, and greet you out while checking in for receipts as well. My biggest mouth dropping thing was that they had a built in McDonald's inside with not a bad line of people waiting. The fast food restaurant looked really nice with vibrant red colors and yellow. It was the cutest little kiosk ever! They obviously also had built in banks, salons, this particular Walmart has a built in spa and massage. The lines were noticeably loooong yesterday with lots of shoppers eager to get out. I sort of freaked out seeing this, but managed to find what I was looking for. I needed to buy some work slacks and I chose the women's clothing department. It wasn't much far from the check out lanes and most of the staff was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for. At the fitting room, Mary wasn't able to help me find the black slacks and straight up told me she wasn't able to help me, but pointed to a nice lady who would. The lady (which I unfortunately didn't get a name.) showed me exactly where they were. But the most perfect customer service came from this lady named Elizabeth. She was pretty friendly and didn't plan on me to worry about organizing anything that didn't in fact fit me. Though the lines were long, Nolan, the assistant manager was able to help me check out and help me purchase my work slacks. Good experience but I'd say, give yourself time to shop. I am beyond disappointed in this Walmart location. I bought ground turkey here last weekend and when I opened it up to cook it, it was rotten and it smelled so bad. I called the store and spoke to an associate and she told me to wait until Monday to speak with someone in person, to put the meat in the fridge and bring it with me. Why on earth would I put rotten meat in my fridge?! I went in on Monday and customer service couldn't help me, nor any other employee. The manager was nowhere to be found. I love grocery shopping at Walmart cause it's cheap and usually great quality, but after my experience, never again. I don't know if the meat was sitting out of the fridge for too long and then put back, but that meat was disgusting. read more
