I order delivery online because I had a knee replacement. And I have to go up a flight of stairs. Almost every order, I have to ask for refunds because the shoppers ignore my requests/instructions (especially on the produce). I ordered today 11/15/2025 and specifically asked under instructions for "a long outdate for milk". I rec'd milk with an outdate of 11/17/2025. And the marshmallows that were on my receipt, weren't delivered. What happened there? Again, I have to ask for a refund. On Monday I will reach out to customer support. What shopper did I get? Why don't they follow instructions? Do I have to put the instructions in 2 other languages (sorry but that is an actual idea - If I order again), or would they bother to read them? The shoppers get paid well. Taking pride in doing the job right isn't instilled in everyone. If the store isn't going to offer good service like online order, then don't offer it! Do your job right or don't do it at all. Does anyone check the order before the shopper hands it off to the driver? Now I have to ask for refunds on milk and bananas, and have someone else gets to go get them. Instacart always follows instructions but they are expensive. This sucks. read more

Have been going there with my family members from my assisted-living ever since I move there wonderful customer service and people that help with things that you need ranging from money things to finding items. This is a warning of shopping here to check expiration dates. I found boxes of crackers that expired in October 2022. I found eggs that had expired (sell by) 3 days past date. For the cost of food NOT on a discount rack you must due your diligence!!! Sure it's light bright clean and looks full but it's SUPER deceiving! No I won't shop here again. Worst stocked grocery store! Can't tell you the number of times I've been in especially to buy products on sale and more frequently than not nothing is on the shelf. For example, SB chicken breasts and thighs are on sale this week and in visits on two separate days they had no product ... none. Now I know there are employee shortages affecting staffing and products but at this store irrespective of Covid or non-Covid operations it's the same song time after time. Please check expiration dates when buying anything from this location!!! This place CONSTANTLY sells expired items. I've had 5 separate occasions of buying an expired item and bought 3 expired items on my last trip. Watch out for the items that don't move quickly (I.e. vitamins, yogurts, muscle milk). The most egregious was when my wife bought women's health vita-gummies that expired 11 whole-a#!months earlier. Again, always check expiration date when buying from here. read more

This store is frequently under stock, especially on soda. The milk expiration date is usually four or five days after purchase. Sometimes it expires before the expiration date. The bathroom door is filthy, probably not painted in over 15 years. I'm switching to King Soopers. read more

Perfectly reasonable Safeway conveniently located on the corner of Arapahoe and Quebec. Easy to find off the freeway and open through the night, which is what I needed last night at 11pm when no one else was open. They have wide, clean isles and a good variety of products, all nicely organized and arranged. It was easy for me to find the stuff I wanted and the employee working the register was friendly and upbeat. Parking was easy as well. I'd definately come back here. read more

I had a great experience at this Safeway this morning because of all the exceptional customer service I received. The gal at Starbucks was very helpful. Then Becky provided exceptional customer service by helping me get a new shopping cart. Additionally she is very friendly which I appreciate. Also, there was a young man who helped me navigate the store. Lastly, a wonderful lady helped me with ease of check-out at self-check-out. Pickup Address: 7375 E Arapahoe Rd, Englewood CO 80112 I am utterly disappointed with this location and it's lack of customer service. This is the second or third time I have placed a pick up order at this location for it to be a huge disappointment. Twice now I've gone to this location for pick up and the workers have delivered my groceries to my car without receipt and without knowledge of the order. They never tell me if they had to substitute anything or if anything was missing from my order. The last time I placed an order I picked it up and two - three bags were missing. I called to ask about it and the worker blamed the manager packing the order then I was asked to hold for the manager. When I talked to the manager on the phone at first he was offended saying he personally packed the order and he knows my items were there only to double check their fridge to find out they forgot to put a few bags in my car. I had to inconveniently drive all the way back in a Colorado thunder / rain storm (Pregnant ) to pick up my missing groceries all for the manager (a male) to offer some $5 off cards that expired the same week! Then today I decided to try the service again - Months later - and it's still ridiculous. I came home to multiple items missing from my order and went to check my emails for a receipt and there was only the previous order receipt including the missing items. I called the store and they again blamed the manager saying the manager packed the order and that the manager was the one who messed up the order. Then the manager (a female) came on the phone , I explained the situation and she proceeded to blame another employee and then said well I know we were out of atleast 6 things on your list and you already received a final receipt - in which I told her that the final receipt I received Included the missing items. I said the worker who dropped my items at my car didn't tell me anything was exchanged or missing. This manager then tells me the same excuse they told me months ago - well the receipts aren't printing so the person who brought out your order didn't know the details. I said it's their job to inform the customer of these things because it is in their policy / ordering process that they will inform you if they have to exchange an item or its missing. The lady basically kept saying ummmmm ummmmmm I don't know what to say or do. She was trying to be passive aggressive saying well we're out of this and that when I named the 12 items missing from my receipt. When I said I understand if you're out of something but you can inform the customer or explain this nicer and be informative instead of being snotty to me. She had no remorse , no customer service skills and no professional courtesy. She was completely air headed. She did not know how to deal with the complaint and I'm not satisfied with the service or how this manager handled this. I used this service for the convenience due to the fact I have a small baby and toddler. They make it more of a headache and I regret using the service. This store is horrible. The produce and meat lack quality & freshness. The customer service is complete BS, the location is complete BS. Someone should put it out of its misery and replace the store with one that actually cares or a staff that actually cares. I would leave 0 stars if possible. read more

Would you buy eggs without a shell? , what about coke that didn't come in a bottle?... this is the SECOND TIME OVER 7 DAYS that i grab sushi from the deli counter and had to put it back because they NEVER have SOY SAUCE. Visiting this store brought back memories of living in Arizona--a land of Safeway, Fry's and Albertsons. I loathed living there. This visit was especially memorable because my dad and I were accused of paying with a counterfeit $20. It's always uncomfortably cold, there's absolutely no logic to product placement and the groceries are usually 15-30% more expensive than Sunflower or King Soopers. Plus, the main east entrance is locked at 9:00 pm. I don't know what else to say...I truly detest this store. read more

I have never received so much help from a pharmacist. She helped me check multiple coupons until we found the best price. She never acted put out or impatient in any way. With no prescription coverage, I am always on the look out for better pricing. No more. She remembers me and my prescriptions every time I come in. It's amazing! I LOVE THIS STORE. This was the first grocery store we found after moving here. Not only is the selection great, but the coupon app is perfect. I can pretty much find everything I need here. The one caveat is that their organic produce is typically more expensive than at whole foods. So, I tend to buy organic elsewhere (although I'm torn because my business side tells me that if I continue to buy it at Safeway, they'll see there's demand and stock more). And, when you walk around the store and numerous employees call you and your child by your first names, you know you've found a winner. read more

The young man working the self checkout (Jakob or Jacob) was incredibly helpful and nice. Went in roughly an hour ago to pick up a western union money transfer. Ian was the manager running the customer service counter. The two cashier ladies working completely ignored me when Ian was not around so the gentleman that was manning self checkout called him up. Long story short. Ian was very unprofessional, dismissive, talking crap about other customers to a cashier in front of myself and other customers. When I finally was able to get the money transfer, Ian did not count out the first section of money and had to go in the back to get the rest and he literally just tossed me money in rubber bands and said have a nice day. Did not count it or anything and when I asked for an envelope same thing, just tossed it to me. Needed to maintain composure and a level of customer service that a manager of duty should possess, not act like a flustered child who has better things to do then help the customers at his store. read more

Store is always clean. They are short staffed a lot of times, but not today. Come here often since we are relocating after my acceptance into law school. Will not be relocated until August of next year, but having a house built, and this will be a great place to buy sandwiches, soft drinks, sweets, and chips for the parties for the kids. They always have a great variety of fresh baked goods here, and that is what my family loves. Jason just waited on us, and he was wonderful! That man deserves a raise!
