I'll preface that I'm not a huge King Soopers fan. I'm more of a Trader Joe's/ Safeway/ Costco kind of guy but this location has made me a fan. It's completely worth you time to come to this location. The downtown option is horrible with little inventory of anything and this is the mega store to it's little sibling. I will say it's a little overwhelming but there is almost everything you need here and the staff is pretty helpful when you ask. read more

King Soopers the day before a big holiday is always crazy but the staff here were doing such an awesome job helping customers and keeping the store organized. The cheese selection at this store is super awesome and the man working accommodated us by cutting a wheel of brie to be the exact size we needed it to be! Highly recommend stopping here if you need to pick anything up! read more

Bathrooms are disgusting. Employees are rude almost every visit. I find myself driving extra far just to avoid this store thats only 5 minutes away. What is their deal??? read more

This store is always so busy, the busiest in Denver from what I read, that's it's hard to move around in at times. Be prepared to both place all your groceries on the conveyor belt AND bag them. It's very rare they have courtesy clerks available to do the bagging. The choices in the deli and seasonal holiday aisle is the highlight of this store. Keep your eyes open in the parking lot as the homeless work the shoppers for money. It's very uncomfortable. Also, the homeless hang out behind the store near the river so when you do a grocery pick up, you are among them. read more

This king Soopers is great. It's always clean and well stocked. And all the workers have been so kind and helpful when I'm looking for something. They all usually have a pleasant conversation with me in line scanning my items and it's a positive experience every time. I'm so grateful to have one very close to where I live. I highly recommend king Soopers ! read more

I travel a lot around Denver but this is probably one of the worst KS in the Metro area . Dirty meat section , bad odor and very poor selection in the produce section with a lot of fruit and vegetables that are very old and sometimes with mold on them . Even if I live like 5 minutes walking from this store I prefer to go to the one on Belleview and federal . read more

Where did all the cashiers go?!! Spent more time in line than shopping and was refused the self checkout due to how many items I had. So, do you want us spending hundreds of dollars, or just 6 items at a time?? Prices go up, service goes down. Save yourself the hassle and some money and go to the Walmarts that are very nearby. read more

Buyer Beware! While the store itself is great and has many selections that you can't get at other King Soopers, you need to know of my recent experience when buying a gift card. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a $35 Visa gift card from this store, as a gift for a family member. Later the family member told me that after they attempted to see the balance on the card, it was discovered that someone hacked into the card and stole 3/4 of it's value, leaving only $11 on the card to spend. I called and spoke to a manager, explaining all the details. He said to come in for a refund. I went to customer service and relayed the manager's name (who I spoke to) and that I was to get a refund. However, despite the same manager being there with other staff, I was told that I could not get a refund without the gift card, which he failed to tell me originally. They said that I needed to get the gift card back from the family member. Yeah? Then what? The message given to me (verbally and nonverbally) was that these things happen and there was not much more that could be done. The problem with this encounter is that the staffs' demeanor indicated that they have told customers this before and probably expected me to go away. Unfortunately, I did go away, feeling defeated with having to bring in a gift card that hardly had any money on it. Moreover, my receipt for the gift card was presented and that wasn't enough. As I browsed through the store, I saw numerous customers looking at gift cards to buy. How unsuspecting they looked and probably not realizing the probability that some of them will have the same experience I had. More importantly, there is still a problem at this King Soopers that management was not ready to take a look at. Upon close examination, one would wonder what was going on? The manager had told me there were cameras throughout the store. Surely they could at least review the security footage to find out if there is a pattern of people going to the gift cards and tampering with them. Or is it possible that the cards are being tampered with while in transport to the store? There are other questions as well and clearly an investigation needs to be made into this being a bigger problem than what one sees at first glance. The manager and the other employees surely didn't care. How many more customers will have this experience? read more

We came here every week to pickup groceries. Would order ahead. Staff were very respectful and realistic about Pandemic Changes. Thanks Sue!! Lots of great stuff in store, too but This service changed how we shopped. read more

If there was a way to put zero stars, I definitely would show up to get gas at 6:30 because the gas station says 6 o'clock then the kid that shows up obviously doesn't want to work because he shows up at 6:30 in the morning and then I gotta wait 10 minutes for him to get everything ready to be rude saying we don't have change. This is grocery, not a restaurant. When we are in Denver we do visit great places and prices

This Kings is a 3-minute drive from my house, but I gladly go to a different location farther away. That's all you need to know, really. The parking lot is a shit show with carts all over the place, taking up parking spaces, and nobody seems to care. This also means that when you walk in, there are rarely more than a handful of carts to do your shopping. And the options are either one that's filthy, one with a bum wheel or one with about 6 years of hair and god knows what else wrapped around its wheels. Nasty and frustrating. Overall, they have all the basics. But if there's any kind of decent deal going on, especially a Saturday/Sunday only type of thing, it seems like they're always out of stock very early in the sale. Always. I've collected way too many rain checks for items I need NOW, not when they finally come back in stock. It throws off my whole meal plan. What else? Produce is hit or miss or just out of stock. Customers bring in dogs that don't have a vest or other designation that they're a support animal--nobody does anything about it. Doors on one side of the store are closed down at a ridiculously early hour, so it makes the parking lot even worse. I could go on, but I guess it's not the store's fault that the crowd they do attract seems to be every smoker in Denver. The place just reeks of smoke. Oh, and I once pulled over to where there were bunch of carts piled with go backs so that I could separate out my 5 for 5 deal items into my reusable bags to better keep track of them. Welp, the manager rolled up on me with a security guard to ask what I was doing. After I explained, he backed off but made the security guy stand there and watch me. The poor guy looked mortified. I was not a happy camper. You get the gist. So, head over to the Kings at Federal and Belleview. It's a whole different world. read more

We love this King Soopers!! They have a fantastic bakery and deli area. Even more, they have a massive meat selection. It's always clean and organized, despite how crowded it usually is. The folks at the pharmacy rock! A great florist as well! I buy my wife flowers from here all of the time. Great value! read more

Get ready to bag your own groceries and then have the cashier make you feel bad about it.

Uhmmm I hate giving bad reviews but this place needs better management. Let me start by the parking lot, although ample parking, it's full of grocery carts left everywhere but the return cart area, as I walked in an unfortunate homeless woman seemed to be passed out on the floor unresponsive and therefore an ambulance was called ( i hope she's going to b ok). Prices in store were decent BUT the bathrooms were deplorable. One was out of service and the other one had an area of the stall wall that looked like someone sneezed blood on. I know what dried blood looks like and that was blood, toilet paper roll dispenser was missing it's lid (well that can slide). And last but not least, I was left somewhat curious as to why there was a sharps container in the bathroom??? I can assume a couple of things but why. Anyway that's my review as well as a very gross picture. read more

Won't shop here ever again employees were sick and hacking up loogies at my feet as they got carts said they wanted time off but had to work straight 6 days just to get one day off for thanksgiving then I seen a 80+ old lady with a oxygen mask on said she couldn't enter also wouldn't let a black woman in because they didn't think her mask was up to mask code it was no different then anyone elses sounds illegal to me read more

I called in to ask if they had motion sickness medicine and was treated very rudely by a guy who didn't understand my question. Without warning he transferred me to a woman who asked what I needed. I told her and she acted like she also had never heard of motion sickness medicine. I politely told her the brand name and that Google said they carried it but they were out of stock at other locations. She hung up on me suddenly. I called back twice and no one answered. Terrible customer service. read more

Now that there's no longer a 24/7 open grocery store. It's a total waste to shop here, now you can fight the crowds as well as the employees unpacking boxes all over the aisles. If you're going to fight crowds and Dr poor attitudes....Wal-Mart here we come. read more

They've completed their remodel, but keep a 4-Star rating until they actually start to REFILL all those sample plates they have out. Every time I go, every cheese sample plate is empty (and there's nobody behind the cheese wall), the Deli Sample Dome is empty and filled with the garbage from the former samples, and the Sushi Sample Dome is, surprise, empty. That being said.... HOLY OLIVE BAR! And Cheeses. Artisan Cheeses. Fresh Cheeses. Aged Cheeses. Salad Bar. Wing Bar. Bigger Deli with salads and prepared entrees. Wider aisles and well-stocked shelves. I still like this one, and I'm thrilled with the remodel... but you GOTTA start refilling those sample plates! read more

So a week ago on Aug 23rd or the 25th I can't remember. But my husband had called me at work because he heard an inappropriate and disturbing conversation between the security guard working the night shift and an employee. They were discussing how George Floyd was a rapist and other disgusting comments like that. But just this morning Aug 30th i got a call from about the incident. I believe it was corporate who called from Cincinnati. But i was asleep when the lady called so I left out one important piece; that they were gossiping about the dead and being racist. I told the lady that i couldn't tell her the description of the two.. but i just hope she makes it awake to that specific king soopers that its not appropriate to talk about that stuff at work or at all. read more

Holy huge ass King Soopers, batman! Seriously this place is HUGE! I really like their selection of fresh produce and their deli man is really friendly (at least the guy that was there when I came in was). The layout seems a little off though and there aren't many employees that are willing to help you. Lucky for me, there are a couple of directory boards to go off of, however they seem to send you all over the store for things that you think would be next to each other. Oh you want a bag of chips? Not a problem. That is located on isle 1784. Have a nice day! read more

The deli department is horrible service rude servers rude workers poor management never shop there again

I moved back to Denver Four years ago now, when we lived here before we lived much further north, and to be honest, I just preferred the shopping up there. Ever since we moved back I have felt like I always needed to hit up about 3 different grocery stores to really do a full shopping trip for our family of four. I would go to a KS, to Natural Grocers, and then to Target or Wal-Mart. Thankfully, I found this KS about 4 months ago and I no longer have to make the multi run just to go shopping. I have even cut down on my trips to Costco since we found this place. Here, let me break it down for you. - Great Fresh foods area. We absolutely love their produce, fresh meats and fish sections. they even do Sushi (which is better than any grocery store Sushi I have ever dared to try) and some pretty good wings. They have a great Olive bar, and there cheese selection is really good as well. - Nice little home section. A could of times now we have used there little home section to get some ice trays or cups or something. It is nothing like a Target selection. but it better than I would has expected. - Great Healthy and Gluten Free options. We are by no means health nuts. but we are trying to eat healthier, and this KS has helped a ton! I have found GF options here that I could not even find at Natural Grocers, and the cost is significantly better here! - Friendly Staff. I have not been in at a time when the staff has been anything but helpful. - Great Gas Station. I love the fact that they have there own Gas Station, where you can use all of your rewards at once (up to $1 off per gallon) not just the normal $.10 that you get at the other stations. - Star Bucks, this is must anymore, but they have a good one with great seating inside and out. I have to tell, just the fact that I am writing a review for a grocery store should tell you something about how great this place is. I really would not post something like this unless the KS was something special. read more

Renovations are supposed to be a good thing, right? Well, not in this case. When in an aisle, you have to squeeze through to get by when passing another person. The employees are great...besides the night crew who snarls at you whenever you need to fetch yourself an item from the area they're stocking at. I'm guessing King Soopers is now trying to compete with Wal-Mart and Whole Foods because there definitely are some influences. read more

This has been my store for 35 years and I hate it now! There are only 3 checkers that are nice and competent and if I only have 1/2 cart I'll do the self check out to avoid all the others if needed. I love the size of the store and variety of what they carry but the management must have changed allowing this to happen. Most of the checkers are not friendly to customers and sometimes they talk during the checkout process with the baggers - bad mouthing others and the boss. Just not a nice experience anymore! read more

Every time I come in to this king soopers the staff are rude and aggressive they don't want to help or fix a problem and one time was the worse I'm extremely allergic to wheat and I went to go get shrimp and the lady behind the counter got extremely rude and aggressive when I asked her if she pulled the shrimp off of the crab cake which contains wheat nothing was done to fix this problem by anyone not only have they endangered my health but did not respect me in any way today they where rude once again over a bear guess they don't care about customers because there is another 20 more also today 2/15/18 the manager once again did nothing to fix the problem so it's ok for the staff at king soopers to belittle and disrespectful to the costumer because get they have plenty more customers read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever had! Came in here sick and in pain. I asked how long it would be to be seen if they take walk ins and I was told it wouldn't be long just to sign in. They insisted that in order to be put in the line or seen I have to pay upfront. I asked if i could pay after and was denied and pretty much told I could take it or leave it. So I paid and sat to wait. Over an hour passed going on TWO hours waiting and people that "reserved their spots online" kept being seen before me. This is terrible practice and feel like I've been taken advantage of. I was forced to pay prior to being seen and denied any other options. I would like to hear back from someone in charge. read more

This is the worst king Soopers you could possibly visit. All of the carts are always in the parking lot no matter the time of day. The store is dirty. The isles are clogged with pallets and u-boats for stocking. There is no management in sight to help facilitate the running of the store. Employees just shamble about in a constant state of misery. They are not willing to help and hardly make any effort at all with only one or two exceptions. Always encounter issues with expired product. Customer service always has a long line and no employees to man it. The produce department is always in disarray and never has fresh looking fruits or vegetables. The manager there doesn't even know what all the produce is. Horrible. The store is also plagued with transients and punks trying to take advantage of people. This store needs serious restructuring from the tip top to the bottom rung I live very close, but gladly drive further away to avoid this store. You should too! read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this kings. Their bathrooms are ALWAYS disgusting! Their chicken we got from the deli had a hair in it when we got home, but a nice lady from the deli brought us a new batch in less than 20 minutes! Do NOT order online delivery....we had a 12-2 time gap given to us, and they didn't get there until 6:30!!!! Can't say I will miss this kings.....rather drive a little farther for another location! Also, their employees smoke 2 feet from their front doors....ick!!!!! read more

Guest service counter is the slowest. 3 people working on the same customer. Line takes

They put security wheels on all the carts so now it's like shopping with a square wheel. I don't think I'll be shopping here again.

I use this store and am very disappointed with customer service. There is always a line with just one person that never seems to care about the line. There should be someone who could step in and help. The bathroom is always out of paper towels and usually needs to be cleaned. If the homeless are using them then security, if it excists should step in. read more

I've shopped here for 20 years and am continually frustrated to see horrible customer service in the Deli not improving despite chats with management for more than a year. It seems the Deli is always understaffed and the Deli employees would rather clean than wait on a customer. Deli employees are rude and act like the customers asking for product from the cases are asking for too much. One Deli employee did not want to bag the chicken I had asked for 45 minutes prior stating, "You should leave some for other customers." Make more! Don't you want to sell product? At other locations, the Deli offers samples and suggests items on sale, etc. I have walked away without deli products and have seen other people do the same on many occasions. If store managers are eligible for bonuses based on sales, they are missing a huge opportunity in The Bear Valley Deli. read more

I went to customer service to try n show I was using correct q and even the csm said it was ok so I was going to get them and BERNADETTE called the customer service and told them not to sell them to me!!!
