I was in your Dedham store, today looking for dresses. I found three that I loved. I went to the fitting room to try them on. In front of me were two women with a carriage with a baby, one of the women held a overflowing handful of clothes, the fitting room clerk asked her how many she had and she said 10 the max. The fitting room clerk gave her a number 10. I'm next I am holding three dresses....she doesn't ask me how many she goes to count them...I HAD THREE. I left all 3 went to Norwood tried them on and bought them! I will never return to the Dedham store. read more

He had worked a nearly 12-hour shift and was still all smiles and was extremely pleasant, helpful, professional, and personable. Stephon exemplifies stellar customer service and I hope the company awards his excellent work ethic and people skills. On the other hand... I prefer the Needham St Location to this one. At least in regards to the mens selection. The jeans options are alright however there is way too many patriots/red sox sports apparel. I enjoy sports as much as the next guy, however the shirts are littered with these types. They never have enough of anything high brand quality at this location. Tj Maxx is a place where you should be able to find some of your favorite brands at a good price. Lot of no-name lame brands. Overall it's alright here, every once in a while I can nab something decent but mostly I would recommend going to the Needham St Location if that isn't too far from you. read more

Been shopping at this location forever. Or at least since they've been there. So, it is unpredictable (as is any tj's, Marshall's...). Customer service (purchases and returns ) and cleanliness have never been an issue. The scores here have included jewelry, handbags, household items & foods and in the past year countless baby & kid item scores. I'm pretty sure the store is smaller than some tj's but I stop in regularly for sure and get great deals. read more

Having traveled to CA from the east coast, I was actually kind of excited to check out what TJ Maxx was like (and maybe a wee bit homesick...), but this location let me down. I love being able to dig through the junk to find gems and save tons of money, but there was a LOT of "junk" and little in the "gems" department here. The store was on the dirty side, things weren't really well-organized and I kept finding the wrong sizes in the wrong areas. Their homegoods section wasn't too bad, but if you're looking for clothing you might want to pass (or at least not get your hopes up)! read more

Not sure about all the bad reviews, this is my go-to place for home goods and menswear. Scores include licensed Patriots jackets for a song, a Calvin Klein fake fur-lined leather jacket, and gorgeous women's shoes. The pajama selection during the cold months is awesome. I have bought amazing jewelry here, and designer purses that are priced unbelievably low. I love the housewares section as well, just bought some dazzling crystal candlesticks and a pair of gnomes that I love. You won't find windproof, waterproof, 32 below rated fleece-lined ski gloves for $12.99 at L.L. Bean. I found a fry pan with tempered glass lid there for $19.99 that was such amazing quality (I have worked as a chef) that I googled the manufacturer and product ID and found the exact pan on Amazon for $89.99 without the lid. I think that if you go in there without an exact item in mind, you will have more luck. You can't expect a remainder store to have that sort of thing. I have never found the cashiers rude, and there always seem to be a lot of cashiers on duty. The only bad experience I had there was recently, when I went in to buy my mother slippers for her birthday. She likes the tall ones that look like boots, not the ballet-slipper ones, and she has a very large foot, and the large sizes tend to be on the bottom of the display wall. So I bent down to look through them, feeling the soles to see if they were textured or slippery (don't want mom to take a dive), checking the sizes and prices, and a clerk actually came over and stood next to me and watched me. Seriously? Stare at the woman with a full shopping cart because you put the slippers she wants to check out six inches from the floor? If you suspect that people who are bending down are actually shoplifting, put the stuff where I don't have to bend down! Am I going to buy $200 worth of stuff and then try to lift a pair of $9.99 slippers? I'm wearing yoga pants and a form-fitting t-shirt, my jacket is draped over my purse in the cart's basket, where am I going to stash these massive size 10 boot slippers? read more

I went to this TJ's location yesterday. It had it's pros and cons like all discount stores like this (TJ's, Marshalls, etc) which are mostly hit or miss. These stores are always picked over and pretty messy. But I had a good experience with this one! Their handbag selection is vast which was good. Their perfume section was big too. Right near the bath and body section was a huge bin of Stila and Too Faced cosmetics prices $2.99-$5.99 - score! I got a Too Faced eyeshadow compact for $5.99, originally like $20. The shoe section had a TON too. I resisted though I did walk around the store in a pair of Madden Girl brown kitten heels I wanted. Alas, they were a bit too snug. Oh well. In the women's pants section I found two pairs of awesome pants - same (no name) brand, in black and gray. Fits perfect, perfect inseam, $20/pair. Nice! The dressing room here is very clean. Though I swear the lady working the dressing room was a zombie, no joke. Also, TONS of registers! Which means no heinous lines. Sweet! I like this one, will definitely go back! read more

As everyone knows, most TJX companies require a great deal of patience while sifting through mostly unwearable, unflattering clothes and kitschy home decor in exchange for low cost products. TJ Maxx is no exception. I get this, and I even welcome it, as I am led to feel even more triumphant when, after an hour of inspecting ridiculously unattractive sweaters seen only worn by Snowbirds and flashy heels that reek of underpaid exotic dancers, I am able to find that gem, that amazing deal that sends chills down my spine -- that trendy pair of Rocket Dog boots marked down from $40 to only $25. So why not 4 stars, you ask, to reflect the surge of sheer contentment gained from this victory? Because this particular Tj Maxx is significantly more disorganized and understocked than other stores in the area. More times than not, I leave disappointed, having spent 45 minutes or more frantically searching for something worth buying, but leaving empty handed and discouraged. I therefore recommend seeking out other TJX stores in the area; The larger the store, the better your chance for finding something worthwhile. If, however, you choose to venture into this particular location, keep your hopes in check, for sanity's sake. read more

I found what I was looking for at a really good discounted price, but while I was looking in the kitchen isle, a guy came out of nowhere asking me if I like to cook, jokingly I answered " no, I am looking for good kitchen knife to kill someone!" No thank you. Messy location, there is stuff EVERYWHERE and it is just not a pleasant experience going in here. I think about stopping in, then I remind myself that I am NEVER happy when I make the choice to go in. There are better place in the area to shop and this place just frustrates me. Never a good selection, always picked over if you take the time to dig through the messy and unkempt racks. Today I went to this TJ Maxx and I found a pair of pants that I wanted to purchase, however the zipper on these pants was completely broken and did not work. I asked the cashier if there was anything she could do to lower the price considering the pants were not in good condition because of the zipper. When she called over manager Larsa she was very rude and quick. She claimed that there was nothing she could do and that the price could not be lowered despite the broken zipper. When I called corporate the person stated that the price could have been lowered and that it was up to the managers discretion. I don't understand how anybody could think that they could sell something that is not in acceptable condition at the normal price. I will not be coming back to this TJ Maxx. read more

I am a bit biased but this is not the best TJ Maxx out there... nor is it the worst. I find the home and juniors departments to be pretty decent but you can get better handbags at the Newton TJ Maxx. I've got to say... the cashiers/lines move pretty slowly but the service has always been pleasant. read more

Trying to return some christmas gifts today and could not believe how rude the employees were. The first woman who was our cashier kept yelling and saying this is going to take forever to check the pricing on all of these. She then had another woman help us who hardly said two words to us just rolled her eyes at us. She then said that one of the sweaters was not sold at this store and threw it back at me. Later as I was shopping I ended up finding the same sweater, then bringing it to the front to exchange it. I also witnessed the store manager being very rude to a woman that had put a purse on hold. After locating a purse she told the woman to get back in line and wait to pay for it, in a very rude manner. Poor customer service I am absolutely shocked by this experience.
